Chinese chain restaurant for dim sum, fruity cocktails and flowering teas.
Food was meh at best. Like with how nice the placed look and price I expect food that taste better than frozen dumplin from asain Market instead tasted like frozen dumplin from asda.Service was also meh the girl was nice the rest just looked at us from the distance and walked awayMaybe okay for non east Asians first time but that it
Good food, however the table service is one of the worst you might get. They don’t give a thing to get your order basically we had to leave the restaurant and dinner somewhere else because the waiter literally turned his back against us while we were ordering and took 30 minutes to return to our table and when he did we just gave up and left, never saw that thing before… Unfortunately because the place is very beautiful and has a very mood environment.
A classic we always come back to. Shout out to Adeen for great service tonight. Probably the best service we have had at Ping Pong out of many many visits! Very attentive and kept checking up on us. Much appreciated!
Portion sizes are super small - I got beef noodle soup and there was maybe 5 spoonfuls of soup and 3 spoonfuls of noodles. This was £8.5
I dined here yesterday for a friend’s birthday, and to my surprise I was greeted by mice. When my party spoke to staff members about it, they were well aware of the rodent issue and stated that pest control come twice a week.We all took videos and will be reporting this to the local authorities.I think it’s shocking that they are still serving food and open to the general public.I am not surprised to hear/read that people have been sick after eating here.DO NOT EAT HERE!! 🐁 🐁🐁🐁
I’m never one to post a bad review but I really need to due to how sick me and my other friend have been the past 2 days since being at the Ping Pong Soho Branch. Honestly do think we both have got food poisoning from here. The staff were really nice and the service of food being put out was perfect. No problems there! However, we ordered the Smoked Chilli Chicken Wings & Pork and Prawn Siu Mai and me and my other friend had a few bites of it. Three of my other friends didn’t try it. The chicken served to us looked a tad off/ slimey to us but we thought the dish was supposed to look that way so we went ahead and ate some of it.The next day, woke up and completely vomited everything out and my other friend as well. The three other friends of mine who didn’t touch those dishes were completely fine the next day.Even today, I’ve still got a massive headache and sore stomach from it.Really disappointed with the outcome of our night as it was to celebrate my friends engagement and she fell sick to it.Won’t be returning sadly but hope the food quality which is put out to customers improves.
A nice place, everything was pretty good. Service was quick and professional. The ribs were not very flavourful or saucy and i was confused with the kids set menu as they only received 2 duck spring rolls and plain rice, i should have asked about it but i had ordered them the kids chicken rice bowl aswell so they had enough food and i wanted to get home as it was a school night. But i would have expected more on the set menu, to be honest i think they must have missed something off. Overall a decent experience.
We are visiting our relative in London and decided to try Ping Pong in Soho. We had an amazing time, the food was so tasty and great prices. Lovely cocktails and staff were attentive and welcoming. Would definitely come back again!
Literally the food is actually amazing, portions are great because they are tiny so you can try out a lot of different dishes. The restaurant feel is so nice and they have banging cocktails!! Also i my bag fell and my AirPods fell out and I didn’t even realise and when i left they gave them back to me!
We had such a lovely experience at Ping Pong Soho - our waiter Kevalkumar was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu & was very attentive. He made our time at Ping Pong Soho even more enjoyable!! 100% recommend
Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. Service could have been better, we had a drink when we arrived and no one came to ask if we wanted another one. We had to ask for water.
Always a Ping-Pong fan. Lovely vibe qt this one but mainly on to just mention the amazing service by Zsanett H. Despite being so busy, she made us feel very welcome, was so friendly and went the extra mile. A member of staff who is all about the customer experience.
This place is absolutely amazing! Renato was extremely helpful and considerate the entire time we were enjoying our boozy Sumday. I definitely recommend this place to other people who are ready to enjoy a fun and happy atmosphere.
Amazing boozy lazy sumday! Great value for money. Drinks come as pictures that are very tasty :). Renato was very helpful too! I would recommend this to anyone fancying tasty dim sum spring rolls cocktails :)
My friends and I went for the happy hour, had incredible drinks and dim sum. Our waiter, Rennie (he has a much nicer Brazilian name but I can’t remember how to spell itwas the highlight of the whole evening!
Food was really good, good portions and reasonably priced. However, drinks (cocktails and wineweren’t up to the same standard as the food but can’t complain for £30 bottomless brunch
A good place if you enjoy Chinese food. Very busy but good customer service and plenty of choices on the menu. Can get noisy since lots of groups come.
Everything was amazing - service, food, speed! Just quality ✊
I ate here with my daughter and they catered amazingly for our intolerances. The staff were very friendly and we had a laugh with our waiter. We sat on the balcony section, which we liked but there was an outside courtyard, which looked nice too.We stumbled upon it being happy hour, so that was great. We probably ordered too many dishes 🤣 but they were all amazing.Id definitely recommend it.
Overrated sadly ): Reason why I say this is because the food I ordered wasn’t as flavourful as I had hoped. The dumplings were named ‘spicy’ but there was no ounce of spice to be seen - really relied on chilli oil to get me through. The cocktails are really good which gives it at least 2 stars. The service was mid in the sense that our server kept persisting for us to split as a group and sit at two tables, despite us explaining all of us are fine and we can manage.
Went for my birthday last weekend with a group of friends, my food was incredible as always! However, my friend (a vegetarianwas eating her veggie spring rolls and found a duck spring roll on her plate. She had bitten into this. She spoke to the waitress, who offered her a free green tea as an apology. The green tea never came and she was not reimbursed. Slightly disappointing as I had really hyped up the service to my friends!
Amazing place, staff are very friendly and the design of the restaurant is beautiful. Food is delicious and I think Happy Hour where some dishes are half price until 6 is a good idea. The waiter cracked jokes with us and allergies were taken care of accordingly, they supply a menu for each allergy so you can pick something off there.
Food is absolutely delicious and keeps me coming back - I recommend sharing 5 or 6 dishes for two to share.I can find staff distracted chatting by the bar and not very attentive (had to wait 15 minutes to be waited on last time even for drinksIt almost seemed they were trying not to take out orders on purpose.
Good food, shady waitress. I was sat by the bar because eating my myself on happy hour. I’d chosen all my meals up front and knew it should come to about £13. Bill came at £38. The waitress - receipt says Rui O - added a “crispy duck” dish onto my otherwise pretty small order and then rushed me to pay.She also offered different types of mochi without explaining that the flavours she mentioned were not on the happy hour menu so they’d be more expensive. The service could have been quicker too - clearly tables with more people were prioritised. Toilets weren’t too clean but not a disaster.Edit after restaurant’s response: if all mochis cost the same, why was I charged the full price, and not the happy hour price? And I don’t believe saying someone’s shady is derogatory, because it was quite clearly an attempt to make some money or correct an earlier mistake at my expense. The service charge was added too of course, and I didn’t think at the time to ask it to be removed.
A great place located in Soho, London. The decor was fancy, staff was friendly and well versed with the menu. We ordered a bunch of stuff (pictures attachedand everything was just superb! The dessert Mochi was something everyone needs to try. Overall a great experience, definitely recommended 👍🏻
A great place to go if your looking for delicious and affordable food
We did a hen do brunch with 13 of us and Ping Ping was a perfect choice. We sat in the patio which was nicely decorated and they were really flexible to let us in a few minutes before we opened to add some extra decor. The food was good and our waitress catered to different food preferences really well. They were super generous with the bottomless drinks, and kept us well stocked. And the price was very reasonable for a set menu! Definitely recommend for big groups and a good time.
Amazing food, very fast service. We were told by a server that people tend to order 4 or 5 plates of food each and we found 4 each was too many- we will return as it was lovely but just wont order as much. Very good quality and superb selection of gluten free food.
We were served by Zsanett H, very accommodating and friendly! Happy to take photos and happily serving. She is just excellent! Enjoyed the food, not very expensive!! All good!
Very nice restaurant. Our waiter, Ash was a little slow in response sometimes but he was lovely. Food prepared very quickly and was decent. The cocktail was nice too.
Food is really delicious, has great flavour and good quality, however it is a little pricey for the portion you get! I was quite surprised when they brought it to our table. The staff was friendly and the venue looked amazing! So even if it is on the more expensive side I think its worth it!
Food was nice, however the cocktails at bottomless brunch seemed to be diluted with water. Horrible taste and both my friend and I were unable to drink it because of how bad it was. We then decided to go for prosecco which tasted like the cheapest possible and also very bad. Quite disappointed with the experience.
Massive venue with a decent decor. Very good customer service.Decent brunch offer, just do a repeat of your order rather than selecting new items every single timeNice food for the money especially if in a group for sharing
Could work a bit on consistency.I actually went with a friend (for the first timea couple days ago, and was thoroughly impressed. Everything was great. Service was on point. Food and drinks were amazing. The Siew Mais were mind blowing.Loved it so much I just had to take my girlfriend lastnight. Great staff, but apparently there was an issue with the kitchen, so they mixed up some orders. Then after waiting patiently for about 20-30mins, i just ask one of the staff to check on the food, and apparently the order didnt go through. And noone checked on us :( and if I didnt say anything we mightve gone hungry for a while. And when the food finally did come, there was hair in the steamed box thing! They replaced it right away with no probs though. But food is a solid 10/10. Just a bit let down after bigging it up so much to my partner...So far its 1 winner and 1 loser and im definitely coming back for a tie break!See you soon 😈
We arrived at the restaurant having prebooked way in advance and they didn’t seem to have any sign of my reservation at the reception. after a while of searching for it, they just dumped us on the bar even though there were plenty of empty tables and chairs.the restaurant has a confusing ordering system that no one bothered to explain to us at all, we ended up asking the people sat directly next to us who also had no idea.we got our drinks and food relatively quickly, and when the waitress came over she brought us over some sauces, however she explained them in such a rushed voice that you couldn’t make out which was what.we got a mixture of dumplings and spring rolls which all came out together, however by the time we got to the last ones they had gone cold and didn’t taste nice at all.once we had finished, the waitress came and cleared our plates and went and got the bill, however she did not return for the payment for another 15-20 minutes.poor experience, however i think that the restaurant may have you just been severely understaffed.
Looks good, tastes great, service amazing. Menu is fantastic if a little towards the expensive side but worth every mouthful!
Subpar food in tiny portions for a ridiculous price. The tastiest thing was the kimchi which is straight from a packet. 3 dumplings for £6.85 is ridiculous. None of the dishes were particularly good even at that price. I had 5 dishes and was still hungry enough to go to the co-op for food afterwards.Id rather have gone to my cheap local Chinese, the food tastes better and its 1/3rd of the price. You get 1 extra star for having a good looking restaurant, quick service and a nice atmosphere.
Delicious! For a London treat theyre quite well priced and cooked really well. I tried new flavours such as okra and cod dumplings, and Im glad I did! Definitely recommend
Me and my friends use to come here a lot a while back. Came here the other night and wasn’t really impressed. We went for the Lazy Sumday deal (which we usually do anywaybut there were few things that bothered me. They increased the price (only fair as the market is going up anywaybut they reduced what you can get from the menu. So basically in 3 rounds we finished our options and had to go for repeats. Our waiter, Awsam El, was very nice, attentive and polite but seemed like the kitchen wasn’t on their top game. To be honest, the place wasn’t near as busy as it was back in the days we used to visit. Perhaps some changes on the menu options could do the trick. The positive point on my visit was the service which was really good.
Absolutely loved the food. It was served on time, fantastic flavours. Not pricey at all. The only downside is that the seats are really uncomfortable especially the high chairs and some of things we ordered were unavailable so we had to substitute but I highly recommend here. Definitely coming again.
Highly recommend the 3-6 happy hour. The menus is clearly marked with what is apart of the 1/2 off special. Drinks, appetizers, dumplings, etc. everything was freshly steamed and delicious.
I’m a big fan of the Ping Pong franchise and have been to a few of their other branches. The location in Soho is easy to get to and has a lovely decor .Was seated on one of the counter sections and had a nice little view.Came for the Happy Hour and was not disappointed. Had the Kumquat Mojito and my sister the Flaming PassionfruitHad a selection of the dim sum menu and was very pleased. The highlight for me were the Har Gau and duck spring rolls.Great ambience for a date, family meet up or after work hang out.Great bathroom facilities and staff were fairly attentive.Definitely would come back again
What an amazing place to eat, much bigger on the inside than you would expect from the outside and packed full of life and flavour!Despite being a busy Saturday night the staff were friendly and attentive, the menu is varied and all of the food came out quickly, hot and everything we had was delicious!
Best place for dim sum. Must visit during happy hour 50% off the dim sum menu with some starters and dessert.
Came her for the Chinese New Year. Ping pong offered a set menu for the celebration and I selected the vegetarian set. Good location, amazing food, great service and the restruant was not that busy . Only thing from the set menu that I didnt like it was the sticky rice, its was more like overcooked. Other than that great food.
What’s your favourite Dim Sum during yam cha?My answer is always DUMPLINGS 😝 We had a farewell lunch for my colleague @pingpongdimsumuk in Soho and ordered lots of Dim Sum to share.@pingpongdimsumuk📍 45 Great Marlborough St, Carnaby, London W1F 7JLWHAT WE GOT🥢Shanghai Chilli Wontons🥢Griddled Tofu Gyoza🥢Pork & Prawn Siu Mai🥢Spicy Vegetable Dumpling🥢Black Prawn Dumpling🥢Prawn & Chive Dumpling🥢Har Gau🥢and many more🤣Yam Cha is an excellent gathering activity for friends or family. It’s a amazing place for gathering.See my next post on Instagram @ccgyozalover for further details of the delicious dumplings😋
I would say it was ‘alright’ due to the lack of better words. The food wasn’t bad without being particularly good either. Another plate was added to the bill, thankfully I checked it before paying but be mindful of that.
Yet another Dimsum day at Ping Pong!Ping Pong Dimsum is my go to place for Delicious Dimsums. I could eat probably all the dimsums on the menu, thats how much I love them!!Social Distancing was waintained at the restaurant! Lovely place!
We booked a Saturday DJ bottomless brunch. You have a choice between two menus: £30pp and £40pp. The difference is in drinks, cheaper one is with cocktails and that’s which we went for. The DJ was downstairs I believe and we were sat upstairs, which was actually fine! The food was amazing, cocktails really good too. Definitely recommend 🙌🏻🤤
Lovely service, great atmosphere. The food here is really nice. Loved the crispy prawn balls and the dumplings were full of flavours. Mocktails were amazing and the jasmine pearl tea is a must. I will say the portions sizes were small, so we ended up ordering more and more. Overall, it was a lovely experience, staff members were extremely helpful and attentive.
