Chinese chain restaurant serving menu of dim sum, fruity cocktails and flowering teas.
Had a nice pint of Asahi Super Dry as it was on Happy Hour. Shame the joint is closing.
Personally Im used to a traditional Chinese whereas this is a DimSum restaurant which is different. Food, service and ambience all good.
Good dumplings after shopping in the Westfield. They serve good portions with good dumplings with good flavour. The staff were friendly and it was kids friendly environment.
It was average. Food was OK, nothing special. Obviously small portions since its tapas style. Would I go again? Not really. This is one of those places you try once for the experience and never return, unless you have no other option - then again, youre better off at Nandos!
Went during happy hour when some food and drink options were half price. Food was a 3.5/5, service was good. Would have been very overpriced if it wasnt half price.
Taste alright , however, the portion is too small.
Good food, nice ambience, good cocktails. Enjoyed it.
Nice dim sum & dumplings.
The place and the staff are nice but the food isn’t that great. It’s Asian fusion. Ordered some rice bowls which were a bit bland. The pao was good tho.
Ate here for the first time this week. Menu has loads of gluten free and vegetarian options, which was great for our group. The staff are very friendly, funny , and helpful. We had an issue (not their faultbut they really made up for it and made us feel welcome and at ease.Looking forward to coming back.
Loves their food! Im usually picky with food but they had many good options and can never go wrong with happy hour!
With a child with an allergy to eggs and nuts, it’s hard to find a restaurant where we can all relax. Very few manage this as well as Ping Pong - clear menus, printed and accessible on a phone, showing dishes that avoid common allergens. And on top of it the food is tasty and the staff are friendly - we could not ask for anything more. This is for Ping Pong in Westfield but our experience has been the same in other branches.
The manager Aron was very rude. I asked him if I could sit outside and he asked me how many people was the table for and I said 2 and he said well that’s a table for 4 and I cannot give that to you and there were a couple sitting outside on a table of 4 but he denied giving us a seat outside. I wanted to order a side dish before choosing everything else and he told me that I need to wait and order everything together.
We love ping pong as we have 2x GF people in our family and they have a great selection for them. Staff is always kind & accommodating.
The dim sum are really good. The place is always crowded and there is a lot of noise. It is difficult to talk. Service is slow. For big celebrations or having time with your family, this place is not a good selection. If you want to have something quickly, it is ok.
AN ABSOLUTE RIP OFF!!They add a service charge on to the bill (even for a solo dinerof 12.5%! This is not America (where the staff get paid a low wage and thus rely on tips- the staff get paid a decent salary in the UK. A service charge is left to the discretion of the customer in the UK, not added to the bill - especially insulting as the service was poor.To add insult to injury the portions are tiny, so to get a meal that wont leave you hungry you end up over paying for a meal here.If you like to feel completely taken advantage of, then by all means come and eat at this place!
The staff were very nice, the food was amazing and we loved the open space!!
One of the nicer restaurants in Westfield. Good selection and happy hour is a good shout for a group of people or party.
Food was pretty good...but they were struggling to cope up with prompt service ...
DO not come here. I ordered 2 portions of dim sum, a rice pot and was still hungry. Tiny portions, overpriced and underwhelming. Told the manager and he didnt care. Pretty much a reflection of the food his staff serves.
I hadnt been there before its pleasant decor although quite dark inside, we tasted different starters and mains, I would have liked some advice regarding the food but the guy just told us to read the menu and tick what we wanted. Food OK wont be returning in a hurry
I wasnt feeling welcomed. We went there 1 hr before closing and they were not very happy. They told us to hurry with our order as the kitchen will be closing soon then they forgotten some food. The food was tasty.
Very enjoyable. The food was an interesting fusion of several eastern cuisines and I especially enjoyed the kimchi. Being quite old I wasnt prepared for having to look at the menu on my phone and despite the opening hours [for Thursday] showing that the restaurant closed at 10.30 p.m. its probably best to think in terms of 10.00 p.m. as the staff were clearing up earlier. Will certainly be back.
Bun, Gyoza and DumplingsDumpling to bao, bun to gyoza, at Ping Pong we know our Dim Sum.Our steamed delicacies are handcrafted each morning, packed with a selection of assorted fresh fillings, and served with authentic sweet, savoury or spicy dipping sauces. All naturally full of goodness, and completely perfect for sharing (or not).Best enjoyed with a crafty cocktail or two, indulge in our inspirational bespoke creations mixed with seasonal ingredients and Asian flavours. We care about the environment; all our straws are biodegradable for a plastic free ocean!
Service was horrific. We had never visited before and the waiter barely spoke and gave no clarification when we asked questions. Most of the menu was unavailable. The food that was available was mediocre. A waste of time and money.
This is not a first time as I have visited Ping Pong for many years now ! It did wow before but any more, food is still nice and get more expensive that for sure! Always with wine, I started to have my dinners with their delish teas!
I enjoyed lunch here. Food was nicely presented. Chicken might have been on the grill a minute too long but was tasty. Explanation by the server was great.. service top notch. Clean place. Definitely going back.
MehHere’s a list of what we got and what we thought:- mushroom puff - pretty good (husband wasn’t a fan✅- katsu - chicken was good, the curry was too sour, edamame with it was undercooked, and the kimchi was subpar❌- xiao long bao - how can you call this a soup dumpling?? There wasn’t any soup in it??? Flavor was also very bland and made me think of tires constantly while I was chewing❌- siu mai - the only thing I might come back for. Flavor and texture were very good✅- beef noodle soup - small portion for the price, flavor, noodles, and beef were alright➖- char siu cheong fen - texture of the wrapping was good, but the flavor wasn’t great ➖- Jasmine pearl tea - usually this would mean pearls of tea used to steep, but instead it was a bundle of some tea leaves and some flowers. Granted it unfolded to something pretty, but the Jasmine flavor didn’t really come through until after more than 30 minutes passed ➖Service was decent, the food that we ordered was mostly subpar, drinks were underwhelming, ambience was alrightI would maybe go back to try other things if I’m in the area, really want dim sum, and I’m too lazy to go to chinatown
Came here for happy hour. Very affordable and very friendly staff. Nice drinks
The restaurant had a nice vibe, the dumplings were really delicious, and social distancing measures were taken seriously. Please note that the portions are small so we had to order quite a bit to be full, which is why I’m giving 4 stars.Edited: My wife and I recently went again and she was extremely sick afterwards. Thus, I’m updating this review.
I love ping pong! Great vibe and great food! Im normally an over orderer & have tried nearly every dish on the menu! Always recommend the lemongrass ice tea - so refreshing and tastes amazing! I recently tried the Chilli Bao Bun dish (its meant for 4 but I split with one personand its amazing! I wouldnt say its cheap but its defo worth it!! 10/10
Don’t give a shitake happy hours is amazing! Drinks and Dim sum become so cheap - which they normally are to begin with. The drinks are so strong you really get drunk so quickly and the beef gyozas are some of the best things I’ve ever eaten OH MY…Also, the staff are so lovely and accommodating!!
Called in on a Monday night, on our way back to our hotel. It was a totally spur of the moment place to visit and we had debated on another well known chain which is a little further along the street. We were so impressed with the vegan options that we almost ordered one of each of the vegan options on the menu. The food was so good, the staff were all great from the moment we stepped in the door, Jackie took the time to make sure we had everything we needed during our time there. If only I wasnt travelling Id visit as often as I could ❤️ totally worthy of 5 stars.
Excellent food and service. Food served hot and in good time. Have been before and never disappoints!
tasty food, small portions. Affordable food in the context of London. Staff was so attentive and kind!
Love Ping Pong..what could go wrong with dimsun. The service is always impeccable and the food are amazing. The location was brilliant and the place was not to crowded. We didnt wait to long before we got a table.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Clean and relaxed environment. Very family friendly!Recommend going there.
After first tike visiting again in a long time I must say the food is the same and good quality.Didnt get a table and was offered a high chair, not the most ideal place I wanted but never the less. Best to try a few dishes as you might not like a few so order a few different ones. Price isnt too bad I must say. Service was okay and the restaurant it self was a nice environment
We had a great time again in this fine restau-pub. In line with Corona guidelines for social distancing and personal precautions, the place had reduced seating , and surprisingly , a thinner menu too! But that was all the Corona effect , food and drinks were as good as always and service as helpful and friendly as before.
Great place to taste different types of buns and dumplings! Everything we chose was absolutely delicious. From dumplings to buns. Amazing coconut and pineapple mocktails were a great addition. Nice staff, food delivered very quickly, perfect choice and nice sharing portions. Definitely recommended and I am sure I will be coming back!
Recommended to us by a friend, my husband and I decided to stop by here before continuing on with our sightseeing. We walked in around 11:30 AM on a Thursday and it was pretty empty (as expected). We were seated and given menus almost immediately. They have a variety of options as well as set menus so it took a bit of time for me to figure out what I wanted. My husband got the spicy vegetable dumplings, Sichuan chili oil vegetable dumping, tofu and miso soup as well as the spicy seitan and vegetable dumpling. I had the spicy seitan and vegetable dumpling, prawn and chives dumpling, orange and chicken dumpling and the potato and edamame pancakes. All the dumpling orders came in 3 dumplings. So 1 order is perfect for a person especially if you want to try a few dumplings. I LOVED the potato and edamame pancake. It was crispy on the outside, soft in the inside and the ginger sauce that came with it was the perfect compliment. The prawn dumpling was excellent but I didnt really care for the chicken and orange dumpling. It was a very strange taste that was not really orange but not sure what it was. The seitan was good but not as chewy as seitan usually is. Because if that, it was very mushy. My husband enjoyed his dumplings a lot but for both of us, they were a little too soft which ended up a bit mushy.Overall, recommend the place and will be back next time in our trip!
So it was ok! The service was excellent, and restaurant clean.Im afraid the menu didnt do anything for me. It was a bit confusing.I ordered crispy prawn rice bowl, but excluded the boiled egg 😫 and kimchi. The Prawns were really nice, as well as the rice. However it was lacking a tad colour.I would have given it a 4, but it took so long for us to receive the bill.
Went for a lunch, service wasnt great but the dim sum is ok, the jasmine flower tea was very nice and they do have a happy hour menu which was not included in my bill even thou my food was served after 3pm.
Good food and very good (quite quickservice on a Saturday afternoon. Had the set menu for one which is also filling and good value. Spring rolls and fishcake particularly good. Honey chilli chicken and rice tasty.
My favourite place for dim sum 😍 always delicious. Try the flowering jasmine tea if youre into fancy teas!
A massive restaurant with very nice concept. But the dim sum and xiao long bao could be better served. Xiao long bao without fresh ginger and vinegar is a definite miss.
This was a last minute decision and boy it was a great one. The restaurant looks great, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food and drinks were fab plus they had offers like happy hour, set menus, sharing selection for 2 etc. I would definitely recommend this place 👌🏽
Food so so. We ordered aubergine bun, the aubergine slices are over cooked. The only thing impressed us is their home made LEMONADE. So Good ! this one I can give 5 stars, no problem!
Incredible Chinese food. Amazing staff and a great atmosphere. Lots of space and very comfortable.
Great food friendly staff, cost a little more than I would pay for dim sum but worth the experience
