City park with a water playground & petting zoo for kids plus a botanical garden & outdoor theater.
I bought some amazing rare palms at the sale hosted by the South Florida Palm Society. It was great to see the mature specimens growing in the garden and then be able to purchase them in the same place. What a great place. More events like this please!
A great outdoor space with a community center, brand new park, water spouts and a cute farmers market on Sunday until 2pm. The market had great, fresh food options for a meal or to take home. There were vegan stands and vegan options also. The restrooms were tidy as well.
Beautiful and Historic. Great place to take someone special to enjoy nature and they have lots of events and such. The farmers market every sunday is always pretty good too.
Love this garden and all the doggy friendly events! Their farmers market is great too. Staff and management are very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful place in the middle of the city. Family friendly. Nice natural atmosphere. Super cheap the entrance. 100% recommended. Great pictures.
Clean comfortable well organized or refreshing cool.$5 entrance children under two free seniors $3. Senior 65 and older.
Beautiful place to spend a day with the family. plenty to see. Our experience was even better than anticipated as there was a Jazz Concert from several groups of young musicians and it was fantastic!I definitely recommend it!
IL MercatoThe best lasagna, They are at the park every Sunday I highly recommend it, they have a small market outside the park
Very nice family park. The new playground is beautiful and I like that children with handicaps can play too. Admission is very reasonable.
Beautiful small gardens. We came to see the Thomas Dambo trolls and enjoyed the whole place.
A beautiful place worth visiting. On the weekend you can also check out the farmers market right outside!
A mainstay for many local families, Pinecrest Gardens never fails to satisfy - especially on Sunday’s during the farmers market. My favorite - mango juice, fish dip and ceviche. Perfect snack while the kids play in splash pad or brand new playground. Ask for fish food at the ticketbooth so your kids can enjoy that activity too.
Beautiful place to enjoy and relax, not rushing into things and enjoying the view.
This place is insane, it is truly a gem, we go on a regular basis, it is the perfect place to go with kids, they have an amazing playground, beautiful gardens and a small water park, great way to spend a day with the kids.
This garden is a gem. We went specifically to see the two Thomas Dambo trolls which are so clever and inventive. But we quickly realized the Gardens more that stood on their own. It is a welcoming place for kids: splash pad, playground and petting zoo. The playground features a two level alligator and frog slides etc. It is so cute! The garden is diverse with thick jungle areas, little bridges, streams with large fish, great sculpture and very shady and calm pace. It is hard to understand how everything fits in their footprint. We cant wait to return.
I visited Pinecrest Gardens a few weeks ago for a baby shower. Before this, the last time I had been here was when it was Parrot Jungle. That being said, I loved the fact that the entrance prices are so cheap ($5 or so), loved that the gardens were very well kept, and the on-site venue that they rent out for baby showers, weddings, birthdays, etc is so stinking cute. Over all it’s a peaceful place and definitely somewhere I will be visiting again.
Be ready to see a wide range of plants and trees. While walking through the trails youll see peacocks, koi fish, turtles and other types of animals. Easy to find a tranquil spot to sit and enjoy nature. The splash area is perfect for the kids to cool down from the hot summer temperatures and the play area by the lake is safe, clean, and fun. Did I mention the sell nice cold beer? Entrance, snacks, and beverages are sold at an affordable price. The bathrooms are clean and equipped with changing stations.
Water splash closes at 4pm. The animals were replaced for a playground. Playground is rubber flooring with 6 swings, 3 tubes drums, 1 spinning circle, and about 3 climbing frogs. That is it.
This market is pretty cool great food vendors and plants that are very nice n sometimes rare. Prices r very friendly on the wallet. My daughter had ceviche at one spot and the lobster boys roll is worth the ride itself
Visited on a Saturday when the heat index was 105 degrees. Despite it being insanely hot, their impressively tall trees created a lot of shade in the first half of the garden. This provided welcoming relief. The garden itself is beautiful. There’s tons of photo ops in this family friendly space. For the little ones, they have a whimsical play area and splash zone. The biggest thing that stood out was the VALUE of it being only $5 with lots to see. Pack your family into a car and head over to PG! Oh, and don’t forget the camera.
This place is a gem. Its a small-ish gardens with a splash pad, huge playground, and of course tons of beautiful plants. Tons of shade in most of the areas allow for cooler walks during the hot of the day. Kids loved the awesome playground and will def bring back my dog for the weekend (when they allow pets).
The park is beautiful. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I first checked on the website for the hours and all it says it closes at 6. I took my granddaughter at 3:45 to go to the kids activities - splash and the new kids park and was not told that it closes at 4. They charged me , thank goodness it’s not expensive but my 4 yr old granddaughter was disappointed that when we got to the splash park we were told it closes in 3 mins. I believe we should have been told before we bought the tickets and it should also be stated in the website.
Great place to visit with family and friends and on Sundays they have a Farmers Market that is great has something for everyone. Well recommended.
Love this place. At $5 you cant beat this. The use of space is lovely. The splash pad is a great size. The park area is ginormous and awesome! Walking around to see all the plant life, fish, ponds, peacocks, it is sooooo lovely. We spent 3 hours here and it was awesome. Bathrooms were clean and new by the park area. Not sure if they sell food, but if they added a cafeteria that would be even more amazing! Petting zoo coming soon and I cant wait to go back with my kids.
This place is amazing my little one had such fun!!! Vendors every sunday!!!!!
An absolute GEM and it’s only $5 a ticket. This place is so beautiful, there are no words for how nice they take care of it. Make sure to take a picture of the map because it’s easy to get lost. They are pet friendly, and have water for them near the restrooms.
Pinecrest Gardens is an affordable hidden gem located in South Florida. It has botanical gardens, mini waterfalls, and is a National Historic Landmark because it was once the site of Parrot Jungle. There you get to see some unique sculptures, and if you have kids, they have a Splash N Play water playground.I had a great time exploring Pinecrest Gardens 14 acres of lush botanical and desert gardens. The great thing about this place is the many shades of walkways that helped protect me from the harsh South Florida sun that day.
This place was a nice surprise. Good get away from Miami, clean and interesting. Coffee shop available but was closed when I visited it. Loved the troll statue.
Went for the light show at night, cool walk but besides lights in the Garden everything is dark and nothing to see but same lights changing color all over. Wooden sculptures where pretty cool and impressive size
I was amazed at the beautiful atmosphere this place has. Its very peaceful and a great outlet from the city life. I also felt the zen and relaxing vibes throughout the gardens. I recommend this place to anybody in the area.
The gardens are phenomenal. This breathtaking hideaway is an inexpensive way to view Miamis beautiful flora.
Very nice place to take a stroll. Me and my wife went to their light festival and it was very nice, but a bit overpriced for what it was. It had been a long time since I had visited and I’m glad they have kept the place very nice and clean. If I didn’t live so far I would go more often just to walk around and relax. I really loved the addition of the wooden sculptures. See my photos.
This review is for the night of lights event held by the Pinecrest Garden Staff; not for the Park itself.Positive: free parking and some friendly staff (not all)...and thats it.Negative: waste of space, they left a LOT of places in the dark, including walkways that is recommended bring a flashlight if you dont want to fall into a pond or the ground.Theres a large plaza that could have used more lights and theres only 2 to 3 food vendors (prices are goodfor a place enough for at least 8 to 10.I dont care if is Pinecrest, but $20 bucks ($15 for childrenif way to overpriced for this BS of event.
Beautiful gardens and facilities on the grounds of the original Parrot Jungle. Provides a great respite from Miamis hustle and bustle for only a $5 entry fee.
Wonderful place to spend some time with your family or friends, have fun with kids at splash, or take nice pics of yourself. Theres also a farmers market on weekends with fruits and vegetables, local cuisine, handmade and pets products.
Its a beautiful place to spend a day with the family. Some areas were under renovations during our visit, but there was still plenty to see. Our experience was even better than anticipated as there was a Jazz Concert from several groups of young musicians and it was fantastic!Entry to the park is only $5 for adults & parking is free.Note: I did not see any food for purchase anywhere during our visit outside of a vending machine. I am not sure if that has anything to do with the areas that are being renovated, but you might want to bring some snacks with you if you plan on being there long.Overall just a lovely place to be close to nature, I definitely recommend it!
VERY RUN DOWN!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! We went for the first time to see the trolls that we found out were the same creator as our friend Issiac from Colorado. BUT with an easy 85% of the property closed and not accessible we were very disappointed we wasted our day with a very long drive to and from for a very unexciting and uneventful time there. Not to mention the naked people statues for all the little kids to see and ask questions about. Thankfully our kids are older and were raised more openly but parents BE WARNED!!!! There is no signage or warning or anything. Its not even hidden all of a sudden BAM THERE IT IS.
Nice place to take a stroll but unfortunately all the attentions were closed (kids water playground, and most garden areasonly the walking path was open. This was especially disappointing because the price was still the same as when fully opened. Regardless the price for admission is $5 per person. I will revisit when it is fully opened and then reevaluate my rating accordingly.
Great place to see the native plants and lizards. There is a great cafe and a splash pad for the kids! Highly recommend. Earlier the better for the splash pad as it got busier as the day went on. Military families got in for free!
The best farmers market in Miami hands down! Check out Angry Booch Kombucha 👏, Imperial Roast Iced Coffee, Candles by Fatima, Le Vinois Bakery, The kettle corn place, the girl who sells crystals & Brewing Life Kombucha. All my favorites!
Beautiful place. Very affordable admission and even membership as well. Their petting zoo isnt open though but its a serene place to be in to just meditate and be surrounded by nature. Very ideal for weddings and photoshoots as well. Highly recommend.
This was a great place to take a break from the everyday... very relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed nature, and it was also very peaceful. Not a lot of people were there, so it wasnt a challenge to keep our social distance.
One of the most beautiful places Ive ever been to. Its $5 dollars to get in and plenty of parking. Everyone should come here, so many different plants, statues, little benches and all. Also a water area for kids. It is very well kept and worth every dollar I swear no one should live without seeing such a beautiful place I love it so much. Ive been here twice and both times it wasnt that many people. Mostly families with kids. You can also feed the fish if you ask for the food.
Took the family we had a good time the trail is well maintained with plenty of interesting things to see. Only the splash water area was open but thats ok the trolls were cool the see. You can walk all of this in about 20 or 30 minutes
I went for the Pinecrest nights of lights and just loved it. It was beautifully arranged and the sound of the quiet nature made the environment super relaxing and just charming. Sadly it will only last until January 3rd so, if you would like to go you need to hurry.
Beautiful park ...I have only visited this gardens for night lights during holidays. The night lights are beautifully done and have a nice open play area for kids with food and drink stalls. The entry fee is also not very expensive ($7 online or $10 walk in)
Very nice place to visit, being the former Parrot Jungle venue. They put on a very family friendly Xmas light spectacle. Enjoyed the tour of the light gardens.
One of the most fabulous places....even if you dont get the opportunity to go to an art festival here, or one of the fabulous jazz concerts, Come Here!! It is so gorgeous....Every Sunday, year round, they have an open market area, with food, orchids, breads and other great things for sale. Peacocks are all around with incredible plants and trees. Definitely come here....worth a Sunday for sure. Here are some photos, one is the trill exhibit....its incredible!
We like this place a lot! You can stroll around and have a nice time since the pathways are very well shadowed! Theres a splash area and a petting zoo (Ive only seen it on weekendsfor the kids and a section where you can have a birthday party! We got to see the farmers market on Sunday and its quite nice! The entrance is 5 dls for adults, which I dont think its that bad. Dont forget to bring your water! Totally recommend!
I love the upgrade!Trails are so much easier to walk or stroll (I have two little kidsif you love pictures like me, you can take pictures everywhere; there’s a playground and a splash and play area for children 2-12 Water is not cold. Doggy station with water and food. Parking is free and admission is only $5!
