Guide for 98 person hiking this place..awesome days...good days
It’s not too hard, not easy either hike especially near submit where it was a steep hike up and a bit like rope climbing that required physical strength from hands and legs. Overall it’s a fairly well maintained walking path and trails but there’s a few spot where the trail has eroded, and fallen trees are seen in some spots. Be well hydrated. It was in June where weather was pretty good, no rainfall, we took us a 6-hour round trip.
It was an awesome hike to the peak. Well kept and clean trail. But be ready to climb those ropes, and bend real low under fallen trees. It could be very technical. Wear good trail shoes...otherwise loving the coolness.
A good training place for a trail runner and mountaineer. A clear and visible trail facilitate your trekking to the peak of Pine Tree Hill. View and weather at the peak worth the hikes .#solohiker#alwaysalittlehigher
One of the most challenging hiking trail
Good place to hike, consider a moderate trail. Good practice ground for something more challenging.
Such a amazing and greenery place... Before going better take the permission from local police station and if possible get a local guy with you....
No directions added...some trekking sites have directions for the people,.. making sure they dont get lost and are on the right path..And the paths itself were a bit muddy-slippery...and narrow as well without any network availability. I am not saying to make a road for this..its just that at least have a network/tower installed in this area so that if someone is in real need, can reach out to someone.. trekking is better if people get (at leasta network support
Go hike to feel the excellent weather. This hike would be very special with low temperatures, the place offers. I was hiking one of the group from KL. reached here by 8 AM and followed the trail to pine tree peak and then proceeded to Twin peak. After twin peak , plan was to do Hulu Sampan but the time didn’t allow us so finished by reaching Jerau Waterfalls. Finally we had wonderful hike for the day covering some 14KM and 9 hours in Jungle.
We walked all the way from town centre to the Pine Tree Trail only to find it closed... we had been doing our homework since before we arrived Fraser but found no info about which is open/close. Maybe management team should do an announcement?
Amazing trail.. Still the best natural atmosphere and original jungle
Pine tree trail is a very unique trail. It is rated to be moderate as it is easy to go and hard to go back. U definitely need a guide to go to this place and dont forget to apply your permit too. Too many cases people lost track. U can go to twinpeak from pinetree and it only cost u about 20minutes to get there. One way 5km and it can be done in 2hr 30min . Go back roughly 3hours . Bring a lot of water as there is no water supply there. Last but not least, be safe and enjoy your trip!
Permit is required for this hike. Please apply online with jabatan perhutanan raub at least 2 weeks earlier.Started hike at 0900. Reached Pine Trees peak 1200. Continued to Twins Peak, reached at 1230. Started to hike back at 1300 and reached trailhead at 1630.The trail is nice.. Up and down all the way. Right before Pine Trees peak, there will be some rocks and ropes. This is the challenging part but fun. Be extra cautions here. Both peaks has nice views of other mountain range. Happy hiking and keep the jungle clean. Cheers
Nice view, good cardio n muscle exercise... If you hike😅😝
4 hours in and 4 hours! Great trials
Clean trail, with awesome view at the peak. Gotta say the trail quite challenging at certain point, if you know what I meant.
Recommended for experience hikers as the trial is very challenging with lot of steep uphill and downhill climb. Those intend to try out the trial should be fit and must be accompanied or going in group.
A good 10km hike including the return journey. Lots of flora and fauna to see. Love the fern trees.
Nice hiking experience
Tough track, but you will sure love the view at the peak
A good hiking spot. Not suitable for beginner.
Ur nightmare begin when u head back to your starting point
I really like the cleanliness of this trail. it is beautiful. but there is no public toilet at the entrance.
Nice trail to try even though we couldnt finish it. You MUST inform the police prior to entering to the trail.
The trail is challenging and fun but there a lot of dead trees across the trail.
Great hiking trail and challenging
I went in with 4 kids and we spent 7 hours to reach pine tree peak. Missed twin peak as did not bring enough water n ratios.
8 hrs for 2 peaks return.. quite tough
Dont be fooled by the distance stated here. The actual distance from the trailhead to the pine tree hill peak is close to 10km. Thats almost 20km return trip in total. If you can keep your pace to average walking speed (3 km/h), you can arrive at the top after 3 hrs hike. After made it to the pine tree peak, you can hike another 30-40 mins to the twin peaks where youd be rewarded with a breathtaking view, even better than the one from pine tree peak. The stairs on the way back could shatter your spirit. Just keep climbing 1 step at a time ;)
With normal pace, 8 hours return hike, with vertical climb of almost 80 degrees, strong winds, foggy, and a chance of seeing ghosts if you are still in the forest after the sun sets, 11/10 will go again
Took 6hrs to reach the peak and get back. Enjoyed the hike. Was tough at the rope section and about 15 deg C early morning.
Challenging trail. Coming back is a killer as its also a hike to come back! Make sure you have water, n rain coat.
Is guarded by a very weird uncle, he seems to be very warm hearted to his best to try to keep the trail well. As our group practise normally will put markers, and have sweeper to collect back the markers. But he insist no markers allow, and some more treathen us said markers is illegal. That is so wrong. And his tone is very heavy and annoying.Still due to that trail is really kinda straightforward. We agree not to put the markers.I suggest uncle go easy ya. Anyway the trail is really lack of maintenance, and also rubbish is everywhere. Said right…
I love this place!!! The air very refreshing. Went to hike the Pine Tree Hill. Reach the summit with mist everywhere. Im fall in love to nature.
Never go hiking alone. Stamina is a must. Eye and leg coordination is highly required. Few of my hiker tripped and felt. Lucky no major injuries. Love the walk. Done it twice. And aiming for another trip.
Nice weather and view. Long and challenging trail but very worth with the effort
