Pilot Travel Center - Motorway Services in Erie, United States
I arrived at the Erie, PA #311 location at approx 7pm local time. Only a few prime spaces remained open. Found through the app that all spaces had been reserved in advance and that there was no spaces available. Went inside and spoke to a woman named Kristen and a man named Joe. They confirmed that in fact all spaces had been reserved. Rather than just sending me on my way they offered to take my information and if any spaces prime spaces became available they would hold it for me. After checking in with them a few more times eventually they let me know that a spot opened up and they had secured it for me! I was very thankful for their help. They went above and beyond to help me and this is becoming more and more rare these days. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due. Thank you Kristen and Joe,
The place is very clean and immaculate! The service is good and staff are very friendly!Keep up the good work Pilot Travel Center!
Pump did not print receipt. Had to go inside to get.
This Pilot is on the small side. If you want free parking, you have to get here early.
Tried paying for a shower n needed another dollar. Went to the car and back in for them to steal my money then manager wouldnt help me out. Now I have no money n got no shower. Dont waste your time here as they steal from customers
No laundry services one of the most needed things at truck stops but they dont have one
Very very very busyHalf the pumps are done and 2 others you have to go inside to get fuel the buttons on the islands dont workPrime parking lot is a long the tree lineThe paid parking is the FUTHEREST away from the store (just to let you know)Nice people but it takes FOREVER to in and out
Worse parking lot design Ive ever seen
Very nice center. Many souveneers, a small pharmacy section. Prepackaged food, coffee and tea, showers and bathroom
Clean, fully stocked, bathrooms clean. Great coffees!!
The truck lot needs some improvement because there are huge pot holes all around so be careful if you plan to come to this Pilot location and park, but besides that it’s really not that bad of a truck stop when it’s not too busy and crowded, the employees are cool and laid back, they have a Subway restaurant inside and it’s a Taco Bell across the street from the Pilot.
Fixs your pot holes in your lot I’m shocked I didn’t bend my suspension it was so bad!!
stopped by this pilot to take a shower. $13 which is good price. it was really clean too. and they provide towel.
Worst pilot Ive ever been to. Rude staff incapable of doing their job correctly. Trash parking lot.Definitely recommend going to a different one
We stopped to buy ice and fuel on Saturday, August 28th,2021. Never in my entire life have I ever been stopped dead in my tracks at a Pilot because of a RAT. Yep,you read that correctly. I said a Rat. Ran right in front of my Daughter with special needs and myself towards the bathrooms. We give this Pilot a -5 stars. Dont go to this one!!!
This place has one of the worst entrance and exit for trucks on the planet l. One way in and one way out for 18-wheeler trucks absolutely ridiculous. You be waiting a long time before you can leave.
I work at store 496 in Iowa and am traveling to Maine. This was the first time Ive showered at another pilot and would like to say that they have a great staff. The shower rooms could use a sweeping but other then that, great stop!#makeitagoodday#store496
Great place and location! They allowed me to park in their parking lot and sleep in my Wrangler. I felt very safe and for $13 had a great shower in the morning. The shower facilities were very clean and spotless! Very impressed.
This review is for the subway specifically. Employees did not know the menu or how to make the protein bowls or salads. Drink machine was out and was given a run around trying to get a refund for the drink. Manager blew us off and tried to pawn it off onto the pilot employees, the pilot drink machine was out of order. Just a frustrating experience, this is the second time a subway has really lowered expectations.
Their pump showed that I put 19.88 gallons of gas into my 21 gallon tank that still had 5 gallons in it!!! They earned an extra $15 from me.....thats just one of their many customers in a day.....
Overall it was good experience. Average size truck parking plus reserves. Friendly staff. Subway restaurant. Restrooms not up kept dirty filthy toilets sinks etc. But easy access off i90 Pennsylvania.
Nice clean showers, assortment of snacks and electronics. The parking lots not huge but I was able to get a spot. And they had a subway.
We frequent this Pilot so often that Im now on a first name basis with almost everyone in there. They offer great service for such a compact location. The showers are awesome and the food selection is decent if youre looking for a late night snack or an early morning to afternoon pick me up. There is a Subway that is inside this location that is also wonderful. The gas is reasonably cheap here for both auto and truck drivers. The bathrooms are always well maintained and are well equipped for the pandemic. It is centrally located in Erie County right next to the I-90 and is a great location to visit. Highly recommend this place.
2 people in line in front of me and I walked into this. One of the CLEANEST showers Ive ever seen. Very impressed. This pilot is very janky to get into and what not but if youre here early enough its not bad.
Very small parking. High volume of traffic. Posted on their doors- signs says "no mask/ no entery!" This is against our constitutional rights and they cant emphasize on wearing mask!! They are treating us drivers and travelers like we have this virus and we are contagious. This is insane!!
With the recent covid-19 outbreak, I just wanted to take a moment to extend my gratitude towards pilot and subway for keeping subway open later than the other locations Ive seen. Most others close at like 8pm, its now after 10 and its the first time in a few weeks that Ive been able to get a hot sandwich for night lunch (Im a night time driver)... so thank you, a hot meal is something to look forward to while were on the road.
The people in the store were great, however the layout of the entry exit needs to be reworked. People park on the side of the entryway and cause traffic jams when other trucks try and enter/leave. The parking can be quite hectic as well, very tight with trucks trying to fuel. Its a place to get fuel if you have to, otherwise the t/a down the road is a better option imo.
Ive only stopped in for fuel and a 30 minute break. Parking lot is very small. Suggest going east to the TA for parking. Stopped again on 12-08-19. No paper towels in the Fuel island. Window wash buckets were practically empty. Trash cans over flowing. Burnt looking food on the rollers. Only reason I stop here is because my company forces me to follow my fuel stops. Otherwise Id keep on driving.
This is a very small and very run down Pilot. If you absolutely need to stop here, I guess you gotta, but if you can make it up the road a little farther... definitely do it. I also find it very frustrating that truck stops just GOUGE the truckers! This place was charging almost 30¢ more per gallon for diesel than the Shell station right across the street!
The pilot had the whole bean automatic coffee makers so that was a plus. It’s the main reason that normally perfer to stop at a pilot over other gas stations. The odds of getting better coffee seem to be higher. The bathrooms were clean, and didn’t smell like urine. So, all in all a pretty good pilot experience.
Outstanding coffee. Clean and well stocked
This is a great place to stop. The store was very clean around the pumps around outside and inside including the bathrooms. Nice clean area around the drink station which is hard to find when I travel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they had a great selection how daily items that were fresh and hot.
The staff was also wonderful they spoke to you as soon as you walk in. The hot dogs were fresh and the buns were soft. Just had time to grab some of them along with some tortillas that was also fresh off the roller and a big ole drink. Keep up the good work guys.
Very tight to get fuel. Small one way in and out. And watch for giant pothole if your in bug trucks. Otherwise its fine. Didnt do inside so not sure of interior
This is the worst pilot I have ever been to. It is very small it is hard to get to the scales and in-and-out of the Truck stop.. Have any hot dog buns Subway had to old ladies that were slow. Cat Scale speaker didnt work... Didnt have very many hot roller items. Bathrooms are nasty. You just need to shut this one down and rebuild it somewhere else
Great gas prices, good variety of merchandise for your trip. Many truckers stop at this location to rest and relax.
Went in to pilot of a great morning just before we headed to the warren county fair. I smell the scent of the juicy hot dogs in the distance. I quickly head over to the roller dog station ready to feast. Only to come to the realization there were no buns. So I left.
Just a little shy of 5* maybe I visited in the wee hours of the day when washrooms are aggressively used. Both girls are doing their job well. Entrance to the lot is a bit tricky as its the exit too. So just wait for the right time before pulling in 😎
Wish I could give this no stars. The flying jay is up to par but the subway in this plaza is nothing better than disgusting. I am a normal customer to subway and I have never seen a place like this. The service was horrible and we were told they were out of multiple food items, such as tomatoes and onions confirming that this place does not have very many fresh shipments. The man working at the counter continued to tell us that we ‘should not look at the menu’ because ‘nothing is up there’ and to instead look at the food because that is what they have available. Usually subway workers carry out the order the customer chooses, this was not the case at this subway. When we arrived there were two workers, we were in line for about 3 minutes just waiting for the workers to take our orders when we were clearly ready even making eye contact with the workers while they walked by. Before I ordered the worker took way too long to put on his gloves which he should have already had on before we arrived. He was also sick. This place didn’t even have a sign on the outside of the building. I love subway but this place should seriously be shut down, hands down worst subway I have ever been to.
Very small. Cashier was very nice. Got a 110 gallons of diesel fuel. Only 1 shower credit. I feel as im getting ripped off. Have over a thousand gallons of diesel fuel this month. No shower power. Guess thats a lie as well. Thinking of just using Loves.
The hot dog quality is low. One of the employees while walking out from behind the service counter let me know by not stopping for me that their movement to their destination was more important than mine. I clearly was out in the aisle before she got out from behind the desk. She made eye contact with me but her expression on her face was that she was superior to me and she just kept on a comin. I thought that was rude.
This place is always great. The drinks are great! Subway inside the place is a great option for quick food if you dont want any taquitos, nachos, hot dogs and a bunch of other options. It is a trucker overnight stop so it has alright bathrooms.
Love Pilot and Flying J stores. Theyre almost always clean inside and out. Their point system is way better than Petro/TA. Points work straight from the point card like a credit card. Can use your points at the fast food restaurant located in the store 99% of the time. The app. They have also has great weekly offers for drivers so download and check it out.
Store is well stocked, staff was friendly. Truck islands could stand some attention in regard to cleanliness, oily pump hose, windshield washer water kinda grungy, some litter surrounding the pumps. Bathroom, average at best for cleanliness.
Like most Pilot locations it was clean and the staff was friendly. We often travel in a motorhome and find these stores to be a great place to refuel and grab a bite to eat. With Good Sam membership card the gas price is reduced $.05 per gallon.
Typical Pilot station and store. Pretty easy access. Clean store. Federal Express and UPS drop boxes. Expensive diesel. Good coffee. Truck parking and fuel. No repairs. Cat weigh scale. Right off of I90.
After all the construction they had here a year ago this place is a lot better. But I have a couple of suggestions. The parking here is not great. Not a lot. And it doesn’t help when drivers drop their trailers and leave. It’s a pain in the butt. Also why are cars parking in truck area? Saving his spot cause he’s a local? That isn’t right either. But all in all this place is a pretty good Pilot. The managers are all friendly and even the people in Subway are as well. One place I will be continually to stop at.
Worst place to go. I arrived and purchased 700 dollars worth of fuel. Went and parked in a spot marked for parking. And go to bed. 11pm comes around and there the manager is banging on my door. Telling me I have to leave one of there regulars needs to park. To which I stated I’m legally cannot I’m out of hours and can’t drive. So he calls the police to come and they said I have to leave. Trooper Hacke tells me in don’t care if your breaking the law. Mind you I had done nothing wrong. I then ask for his supervisors number and his badge number and he refused to give me any information other than his badge number and name!! I had been parked for 5 hours and event had showered and spent money inside as well. Very unprofessional if I could give them a negative score I would. They lost a loyal customer. I wouldn’t recommend that place to anyone!!!
One of the worst set ups at a truck stop Ive ever seen! Its already small and tight but the issue is with the pumps. It should be the other way around. Pump and exit NOT wait at the entrance/exit to pump. Makes no sense! Huge back ups!If youre on a hurry DO NOT stop here. You could be stuck for 30 + minutes!I did mentioned it to one of the clerks, she smiled and said "its been like this for about 25 years"......Well, dont you think its about time to change it?!
The coffee is awesome like every other pilot and flying J that isnt privately owned. The truck parking area is way too small and full of craters. Trying to get in and out poses a huge problem at any time of day, especially when theyre busy. I recommend that if youre in a hurry, although the food is good and the coffee awesome... Truckers beware if they are busy. They dont make it easy to find the entrance/exit and its just a tiny space barely big enough for one truck.
