Interactive fun museum. Good for a lazy afternoon with friends.
Good for kids. Interactive, interesting. A good alternative for bad weather
Frankly there are limited showcase in this science centre
I know ot was designed for children, but I still had great fun there as an adult!
Educational museum in Rovaniemi! It is all about wood- forests, paper, equipment! You can take part in different workshops, sit in harvester, play games. It is located close to Arktikum.
Wonderful place for children to play and learn about forests
A great interactive museum. A big building that makes for a comfortable visit. Recommendable for kids, but I had a fun time there 😁 It is included in Museokortti.
Great interactive science center that kids love too. The gift shop is well curated with a lovely collection of Finnish design.
If you want to know everything about forests and forestry, here are the answers. A lot to do and research for kids and adults. Covid-19 safety demands well fulfilled.
If you have kids its absolutely fun place to visit, lot of things to touch and play with, as an adult without kids I found it very one note. If you have the three museum pass but limited time Id skip this one.
Fantastic interactive learning center.
Really great place. There is a ticket for 20 euro which allows to visit Pilke, Arktikum and Museum of art. Here you can learn how to protect forest, you can try shooting simulator and many other interactive games. Place looks cool, and if you will make an origami from the broshure, they will give you small souvenir for this.
Very interactive and entertaining. Great experience.
I really enjoyed this museum. If you buy it as part of the culture pass its only 6.33 euros per museum. The interactive areas are all interesting and well thought out.The cloak room and toilets are very clean, as you expect in Finland!
Good place for kids and families
Great center of wood, interesting for adults and engaging for kids
Coffee machine works only with card..so you will be charged transaction fee.. the one which accepts cash.. broken
Very nice for kids. Everything is nicely aranged.
Its a great playground and a learning area. Some of the exhibits (more precisely, real attractionsare amazing.
I bought the cultural pass, to ser the 3 museums. When I arrive today to Pilke they told me they were having a Private event. So for my it was a waste of money. Very Very dissaponting
Games are fun to play and inspiring. Kids like to play shooting with rifles, building blocks, video games like being a lumber,...
Very interesting place, and student tickets were only 5 euros a piece! All kinds of interesting stuff about forests and how we are making our future greener.
Good infrastructure. good for kids. Need some personal assistance to explain some info otherwise a very unique science centre for forest enthusiastic.
Great place with fun activity stations, very nicely designed and engaging. Preferably for kids and families. You can get done in almost an hour and move on to some other place you want to visit in rovaniemi.
Teaches you well about wood, its growth and forests with fun games and tests. Nice and helpful staff. Good place for family or school trips. Theres a big hall down where everything is. Many stairs but I think theres wheelchair access to it too, not sure. Oh and scouts get in free if wearing the scout scarf!
Nice interactive exhibition. Forest, trees and so on. Good for children from 3 year old.
Interesting exhibits and interactive displays all based around the science of the logging industry. With spending a little time in if you are in Rovanheimi
Great space to learn more about sustainable development of the Finnish Lapland !
Perfect location for a family visit!
#interestingmuseum
Great museum for kids and adults about wood of Finland! Fun activities for all!
Plenty of activities and learning for the kids.
5 stars is NOT enough to evaluate this magnificent, absolutely unique and very clever child and adult interactive science and play facility. Your child will not want to go away from it! Its a great shame that this centre is not known as widely as the Santas village is. In many ways it exceeds the later. Highly, highly recommended!!!
Very nice place for coming with kids. We stayed here at least half a day. In the end we hardly took the kid from the interractive playgrounds... And especially from the simulator.Coffee and tea for 0.30 cents at the reception.
Peaceful and nice place to visit! Our second time here, children wanted to come here again when we came to Rovaniemi. Shop is also nice for mum! Thank you!
A museum of the forestry industry. I wouldnt recommend paying for it, in my opinion its not worth the price.
Great information and fun activities for kids and adults alike!
All about forest and wood. Warmly recommended.
Great place for children learn the arctic weather and environment.
Wonderful place. We didn’t expect but it was really fun.
This one is on the small side, and definitely aimed at children. There is a plethora of interactive exhibits to explore and try out.Unfortunately, as with many child-oriented tourist places, parents made this one unbearable to stay at, as many just let their young ones run wild, making it impossible to check out any exhibit without being run into or shoved aside. They do have a nice break room though with a hot drink machine that charges just 30 cents for a coffee!
Had a very quick walk after the Artikum Museum. The building itself is almost brand new and gorgeous.
Kids love the simulators and illustrations.
A lot small exploratory exhibitions - mainly focussed on children and teens. But if youre into these type of museums also fun to play around as an adult
Very nice place for families with kids
We visited this museum in few hours because it were closing. It is very interactive and perfect for children, but unfortunately we were adults and we didnt enjoy it a lot.The theme is the forest and the use of the wood (especially the production of paper). It is a little bit small, but quite interesting.
Its a good place for kids to play.
If you have two hours, met Santa, the reindeers and you are seeking for some indoor activities it totally worth it to go inside. The woodchoper simulator, the wooden karaoke and the berry picking games are fun to to try out.
Playful and interesting but only for kids
it was amazing, a lot information about wood and nature in interactive form, beautiful, thanks a lot!
