Great meal pies are delicious good staff Freya very nice will go again
The food was good but not hot, just about warm enough so as not to be a big issue.
A well priced bottomless brunch (£25for 90 minutes, served by friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend!
Had a wonderful meal, with excellent service. Jack, Ethan and Phil, we’re all very welcoming and super accommodating to my friends dietary needs.
Really lovely meal that arrived quick. Tenner for a tasty mock-a-doodle pie with mash, gravy and a drink made even better with a 25% student discount. My server Kas was very polite and attentive. Lovely meal thank you!
Lovely place, really cool atmosphere, helpful and friendly waiters and delicious food!
Really nice food and quick service . Portions arnt massive but dont let that fool you as its very filling
OMG pieMaster is the BEST😍I hope well be eating there again. Emma served us and was a delight, efficient and quick, perfect server. The pie, where do I start, I had the Fungi chicken, other had the No Moo pie and the steak and kidney, all were fabulous, sooooo tasty, the pastry was perfect and the filling..... Yummy. The cocktails were just as lovely. Price was an added bonus. All round a great place to eat and drink
Such a great experience. The poor waitress and the cook was alone that day, and despite being so busy we still got brilliant service and the waitress was so sweet! Will definately visit again
Good pie, 3 vegan options, good selection of sides. Comes with plenty of gravy which you can add as much of as you want.I like that the sides all come in little side pots as I was concerned about everything running together.Really nice to see vegan mash! And even a vegan milkshake option, as well as a sundae.
Great service and quality of drinks/food, would definitely go back for bottomless brunch we loved it :)
Not bad but the pies were very dry and hard no matter how much gravy you put on it
I had the Moo&Blue Pie and it was delicious. Love coming here every time Im in Nottingham ❤️
Great service. Reasonable price. Pies were amazing but sides ie mash were small portions. Dont order halloumi fries as for almost a fiver you get 5 fries. Very tasty but not much to show!
The food and service was excellent. The pies were filled to the top. They even have some gluten free options
Very good food and a peaceful atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable too. Not too much variety on the menu but if youre in the mood for pie you wont do much better than here.
Beautiful food every time, and can I just say that Kas and Emma are brilliant. Kas is an absolute legend and the service was fantastic. Your staff are a credit to you and the food is delicious!
Used Pieminister Nottingham on more than one occasion and it has been a pleasure but this evening it felt that something less pleasing happened. We wanted to place an order for delivery but it was unclear whether gluten free was an option on meal deals as my partner has coeliac disease. I called to ask about this and was brusquely told "we dont handle deliveries, youll have to go through our delivery partners, even though I was seeking clarity on the menu options. When I responded that I would like to place an order for pick up instead, the response was a brisk OK and the member of staff hung up. Because the menu is very good we placed an order online and when it came to pay there were additional fees including delivery (fair enough though Im not aware of other restaurants charging for nearby deliveryand a service charge which you cannot opt out of. I paid £26 for you providing the service of cooking the meal, what is surcharge for? Then a screen asking for a tip. One or the other, guys!Hope the pie is tastier than the ordering experience.Unfortunately the experience did not improve. I ordered the Kate and Sidney and the content was incinerated. Not sure its supposed to crunch like that.
Lovely staff, welcoming and great serviceI had the kale, and spinach pie with cheesy mash and peasIt tasted delicious and was well filled and decent pastryMy only quip would be I could of done with a bit more of the delicious cheesy mash, overall very good
Awesome meal will definitely revisit next time in Nottingham
Not what I expected going by the name, food presentation was good, but the pie was a let down, filling was very minimal, didnt even come across a chunk of steak , just a few pulled or shredded bits, but as we were hungry and tired after moving my daughter to her new accomodation, we saw this diner and thought these guys must be the experts in pies, but unfortunately did not live up to expectations. Service was a little slow , chips and the peas were fine, prices certainly high when the fillings not adequate....
Always had a lovely meal, the prices are great and staff are really friendly. Rob looked after us well all evening. Cant wait for another visit and more Pie!
looking for something a bit different for our party we came across Pie Minster. entering the restaurant we was greeted by a lovely waitress who was very accommodating and found us a table for our party of 6. after settling in Rob introduced himself and was very friendly instantly making us feel welcome. throughout our stay Rob and the the staff were very attentive and answered any questions positively we had about the menu. the food was fresh, tasty and well presented. overall we left feeling very satisfied and will be returning in the future thanks.
Visited here Friday and the service was fantastic the chef and waiter both interacted with me which was great to see. I love the decor on the inside (a little darkbut other than that its great! The food was just what it says in the name Pieminister beautiful made pies with sides to match. I havent visited since the lockdown so really enjoyed it but I do wish the onion rings were back on the menu as I really enjoyed them here before the pandemic.Big thumbs up from me
I love it here. Great student discount. Food is amazing and staff are lovely.
Amazing Pies as Always!Very filling with the sides and always surprised with how good the value for money is.Great service
Food excellent. Staff very efficient and friendly. Please note that Im suggesting your next franchise be Coventry as I will certainly be a regular. Also found out I can buy the pies from several online outlets. Only critism is the balance between meat and vegan tipped a little to far towards the vegan side. Amazing pies
One of my favourite restaurants. The menu has a great selection of pies and sides at a fair, competetive price. Customer service is fab - never had a problem here. If they had a loyalty scheme, Id have a stamp every couple of weeks.
Good variety of pies on the menu. Was looking forward to a lovely warm lunch. Not being a gravy fan( shock, horror!!I dont generally use it. But sadly the pie was rather dry so had to pour some on. Actually spoilt it for me as marred taste of pie. Needed a sauce in the pie. My pie was mainly chicken,so maybe a lighter chicken gravy would have suited? Would return, but for 2 for 1 cocktails or even their own escape room experience!
Was not a good experience. New Years Eve 2021. Being the only customer here, the person who turned out to be the "chef" being on his phone as I walked in as the greeter. Perhaps should have been taken as warning signs. That being said he seemed a pleasent and upbeat young man. Explained I have come here on a recommendation, and it was my first time at a PieMinister. There appears to be no-one else here, taken to a table. so I engaged conversation. Asked for recommendations, it was clear at this point - something else also off. He shruggled and was mildly dismissive, he called to another person. A female, I assume the manager/supervisor/server. Who got a menu.As I browsed, I asked again for recommendations, anything seasonal? Perhaps he was not used to being on this side of experience."I just heat them up."I asked are the pies made fresh on premises. He replied "Yes". Took a step away. Before correcting himself turning back. "No, they are brought in.""So they are microwaved?"Smiles but looks down, "Yeah...kinda They are made elsewhere and sent, he heat them up."The manageress/server interrupted to say, they use two types of pastry and then the filling is added and topped.Unfortunately, it went further south. As what came. A seasonal turkey pie. The gravy was luke warm. Which was reheated by the technical wizardry of a microwave ping. The bed of mashed potato/swede I saw scooped from a Tupperware tub, that is kept under the heat lamp.( In the picture.Having been here half hour or so, whilst I write this. The chef/young guy apologized for the gravy. The manageress/server pleasent and attentive. The other guys came in, the microwave got to work. Pinging and slamming. A number of times.Overall the experience here, was disappointing. For the price, more than £20, for pie, mushy peas and chips and a flat drink. The quality wasnt good at all. Not sure could see that I will be passing on any recommendation. Before I left the manageress/server did identify that I had not enjoyed the meal. I explained the feedback.
Food was superb! One staff member made it abit of a poor experience! (Femaleshe was very unprofessional, you could tell she didnt want to speak, smile or interact with us, thats fine ive come to eat haha......There was a guy waiter who was very nice polite and pleasant 👍You cant have everything I suppose!I would definitely recommend for food!! Just dont visit when misery is on shift :haha
First time visiting on a Sunday afternoon! Had the Sunday special was lovely
Very nice food. Had the Sunday special with vegetarian pie. Friendly staff. Will go back.
If i could i would gave you more starsIt was best pie in my life, definitely gonna come back. Lovely staff
One of the good places to go for a lunch in city centre. This is one of the best places where you can find a good number of vegan pie varieties. They have all varieties of pies ranging from vegan to beef. In addition to the tasty pies the food arrangement is also really looks nice. They do dinein as well as takeaway. The ambience is really good to fit different size groups. There is toilets 🚻 facilities on premises and can be used by customers. Most of the the place is wheelchair accessible ♿.
Booked easily online, staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Really enjoyed the pie and got the pie and 2 sides deal for £9.50 (with upgraded side of fries for £1, I think). Didnt get any, but they had many vegetarian/vegan options. Would come back.
We visited during RONA LOCKDOWN and the staff were all appropriately distanced and friendly. The food was very, very tasty and we left stuffed and content, if a bit sleepy from the tasty carb overload.
Great first experience! Food was really good. Service was great and helpful. The decoration is pretty cool.I had the Chicken, ham, leek and thyme pork over cheesey mash with gravy and a side of coleslaw. It was all really good. For desert the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream.I will be back for sure!
This place was absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive, the beer was good but the food was amazing. The pastry for the pies was crispy but soft and full of flavour. The onion rings were lightly crispy and seasoned to perfection. We had the loaded fries with gravy and the cheesy mash. We left full and satisfied with everything. Ease of access, price and service, absolutely recommended
Pie and mash, you might say so what makes it different? Well my meat was cooked in red wine which was also in the gravy. It was absolutely delicious! Not only that, we were welcomed in as if we were long lost family. You must go!!! The sweets were good too.😋
Upon entering the restaurant, the waiter Sean did not take us to a table or welcomed us he basically pointed across the room and told us to sit there. When we were trying to order he was too busy laughing and joking with another member of staff who saw me and chose ignore me and my friend. When taking our order he scoffed at us. When we asked for the bill he asked if we were paying cash or card, I asked how much the bill was as to I only had a small amount of cash on me to which he tutted and sighed at me and very reluctantly did he bring the card machine. I was made to feel so uncomfortable and had I have had more time during my lunch hour, i wouldve walked out. When the food arrive we were shocked that a pie shop had pies that were so vile. The gravy was extremely watery and the skin in fries tasted stale. The most shocking thing to me was the fact that the waiter treated us the way he did. Never in my entire life had I encounter such a waiter, his attitude was disgusting, and the way he treated us was unacceptable. Staff at mcdonalds and kfc are more trained than Sean. If ever any of you are served by him, it be best to just walk out immediately. I have attached a receipt as I do believe that management ought to sort this out.
Fantastic place just off Nottingham square with a diverse and engaging range of Food and pies (vegetarian available). Brilliant place and would highly recommend anyone to give it a go. Great Food, Great Staff, Great Prices.
Food was incredible. Service was a little slow but great food and very reasonable prices. I ordered the MooDog pie with Mothership. Very nice! Pie packed with fillings.
Food is simply superb. Party of 4 and we each had a different pie of which all of them were fantastic. Full of flavour and each pie was full to the brim. Looking forward to our next visit!
I mean they do what they say. Pies! They are pretty good as well. Side of mash and gravy topped with pigs in blankets or fried halloumi. I can only speak to the Beef and Stilton but it was ace. Decent pastry that felt like it was not made in house, which i would hope for from a place that does ome thing. I maybe wrong but thats the impression I got. Stilton flavour came through well and other pies with Stilton can be overpowered by gravy, this kept that distinctiveness. Nice staff.
Just eaten here after not knowing anything of the place. We loved it, large selection of different pies to choose from, I had the Moo dog. The food was delicious and served quickly. Will visit again next time Im in Nottingham!
As a Wiganer, it was my duty to try this place while in Nottingham. Id had a Pieminister pie from Waitrose in the past so I knew it would be good, but this was another level. Choice of pies is extensive, with a range of sides. Great deals for making it into a meal. Plus this place is licensed - who doesnt want a great pie with a nice beer?? My pick was the Deer Stalker (venison and red winewith slaw.
June 2018 visitProsQuality customer serviceGood vibes, nice decorgood music in thePies were amazing. We had the free ranger and mexicow (not too spicy at all)Not priceyConsOn a busy high street front
Such a good place to go for some decent comfort food. As a veggie its so nice to have a decent pie and a selection of decent pies. Totally rate the Saag Pieneer. Unfortunately theyd run out so I went for a skillet. Totally not disappoint. So good. Prices are so reasonable and the staff are all so nice.
First visit and wont be the last. Had A meal deal with the pie, mash, minty peas with gravy. I had the Kate and Sidney and the wife had the fungi chicken. We both enjoyed them very much and the service was so fast. We did go very early evening so maybe it isnt always like that but it gives us another sorry option for pre theatre etc. Also noticed a good kids menu so would like to take the boys there 1 time also
