Definitely worth the visit. We have been studying about the Pheonicians and this was such a brilliant way to conclude our study by witnessing history before us. You can walk down the path and go close but I think the view from sea lady is a much better view.

This ancient phoenician wall is originally a natural structure composed of sand dunes, and later on the phoenicians reinforced it gradually. It is located in batroun sea side.

Nice place to visit . Wall is a rocky one . Directly placed on edge of the shore. Nearby , you can take a walk .

It might not look like much, but this wall is one of the defining characters of the old city of Batroun. Knowing a little more about it changes it from an object of curiosity to one of awe. Taking a natural wall, carving it and building a city behind it is a witness to the ingenuity of the local Phoenician population. Take a walk behind it to appreciate it more. If youre a little more adventurous, you can climb and walk on parts of it. The views on the sea and towards the town are stunning.

Batroun. The ancient Phoenician sea wall was originally a natural structure composed of petrified sand dunes. It was reinforced gradually by the Phoenicians with rocks, and the wall as it stands today took its present shape in the first century BC. Now it is used as gateway for local people to spend the time and enjoy the amazing sunset or by local fisherman. Just grab a bottle of nice Batronian wine and go with your loved ones. Not to be missed.
