Simple, cheerful restaurant featuring noodle soups & other Vietnamese staples, plus grab-&-go eats.
The environment and service was great. The food was mediocre.I ordered the beef pho (pho bo). The broth is muddy, not hot, and not flavorful enough. The beef could be more tender and sliced more thinly.
Quickly, tasty, polite staff and good service
Not so authentic Vietnamese food but still ok. The papaya salad and fish sauce must be made of lime as one of the ingredients, instead of vinegar as it will destroy the spirit of Vietnamese food.
Went for some dinner after visiting the nearby museum. Very generous portion and delicious chicken pho. Fair prices for the meal and for the location. 10/10
High quality vietnamese food with staff capable of talking in both Cantonese and English
Great Pho place! Ordered Bun bo hue, chicken curry, ho fun, and fried tofu appetizers. They were all great and delicious. Also had Che bau mau for dessert and it was also great. Also has variety of decent bubble tea options. Opens until 10 PM which was convenient if you are in the area late. Friendly owners and speedy service. Highly recommended if you want some Vietnamese/Asian food in the area!
Normally never type complain .We visit Asian restaurants all the time and ... oh wonder, thisThe most disgusting soup we had. elementary vegetables are not even washed, before you try the soup, smell ordinary water like slop.. everything is prepared quickly. The design of the restaurant is good, but the food is 🤢🤮
Truly wonderful food, So amazing it tickles your taste buds. I found the hot and spicy soup to be of an adequate level of spice. The steamed buns were very filling so no issues there. I found d the decor to be favourable and very on touch with its origins. My starter was also OK to consume and so I did, Without prejudice or guilt. The service given to us was very welcoming and polite. Again no issues here. Cash is welcome and you can also pay by card. Toilets are also avaliable for you to do your business.
Nice place and tasty food also very big portions even I couldnt finished mine, and you can find Vietnamese beer too!! Also it is not expensive!!
Oh my day I walked from high streets Greenwich and I saw this menu on the window with his soups and dishes , Ohh mate I had big bowl 🥣 with vegetables noodles soup and beef brisket . Was so delicious,, I do recommended to have a try ,,, good service too, friendly and efficient.Thank you .
First time coming Pho Street and its a nice little restaurant, the Lamp Chops WERE TO DIE FOR :D so tasty, the Ice tea drinks were delicious, good size ;The waitress who worked there gave great customer service and was very helpful. Certainly recommend Pho to anyone passing through Cutty Sark!
Classic Vietnamise dinner. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Dine-in, takeaway and delivery options are available. Definitely go for soups which are tasty portions are big. Rice and noodles are not worth it due to the lack of veggies and meat in them.
Great food but overpriced. Ordered a lobster noodle soup which was about 18 quid and only had one small piece of lobster in it. One of us couldnt finish ours so we wanted to get a takeaway and they charged us 50p for the pot which is uncalled for. Our table was also rather sticky. But other than that the dishes were flavoursome and the staff were helpful. The salt and pepper squid side dish was my favourite.
I recommend this place to visit. They cook great soup (phohere. There may be a lot of people, but there is enough space.
I’ve been a pretty regular customer via Deliveroo. The food was alright - I usually ordered Pho (beefand milk tea with pearls. But after hearing the bad experience from others on a local Facebook group in Greenwich, I decided to leave a review here to warn others as well. The main reason for me ordering via Deliveroo instead of walking in was their terrible service. It’s safe to say I’ve never be scolded at in a London restaurant except here 🥲 Probably time to order from them completely until this is taken seriously…
Unbelievably rude manager, used the f word at us merely for asking for a "bubble tea with mint" as opposed to a "mint bubble tea". Being overly pedantic and unwelcoming is one thing, but downright swearing and aggression at customers is another - let alone over our order not being exactly verbatim to the menu. By the looks of other reviews this is not an isolated incident and this chap needs to be dealt with. Ill happily come back to try products when hes gone. Or if its clarified that the rudeness is part of the attraction like the soup fella in Seinfeld. Never had bubble tea and was looking forward to trying it too!
First time visiting this restaurant. The welcome was nice. When going up to order I had to wait for a little while, but thats ok, as I am a patient person.Once I ordered my food, the food came and it looked really nice, but I could count the prawns on my plate which was a disappointment, as I ordered sweet and sour prawns with rice. The freshly squeezed apple juice drink which I also ordered along with my meal was nice, but the glass was way too small for the price of £4.50 and it was filled up with more ice than juice, so the drink was watery. As I left a little food, I decided that I would ask for a container and a bag to take it away with me. I was given a container, but not a bag, so I probably assumed they forgot, but not the case, as I asked again, the staff working there rolled her eyes, hesitantly handed me the bag and said next time I will have to charge you £0.50 for a bag. I just looked at her and smiled, as I held my tongue and though why would I pay for a £0.50 bag when I just spent over £40 on a meal. GET REAL!!How ignorant can you get! Oh well, the first experience and the last, as they wont be seeing me again. Too rude!!
I have been to this place four times and today was the last. Every time I ordered, the eldest man was very rude. The first, second and third time I let it go cause I wanted the bubble tea and I put it down to stress and a bad day. Today I went in with my boyfriend to show him bubble tea and he was at his very rudest that I had to walk out. I started describing the tea I wanted, which I always get, saying the milk type first because I can’t have dairy. He aggressively shoved the drink menu in front of me and kept interrupting me for which one I wanted and swore at me. I had had enough, you can’t speak to me, an otherwise polite customer and expect a transaction after that. I lost it and swore back and said you are so rude, every time I come here, with some more profanity and walked out. At least I will save the money I ever wanted to spend there. The world is precarious enough, you should not treat your customers with so much nastiness and disdain and expect business. Never going back again.
Food was well, but the service was terrible. I made the order by the number on the menu at the counter, and then the old man shouted to me “Don’t make the order by number, because that number is only on the new menu, not on my screen”Was this my problem? Did I design this menu for your restaurant?
Yummy brisket beef rice :)
The portions are HUGE especially if ordering soups/noodles (which my friend didthe service was super quick, we received our food literally 5 minutes after ordering, but it may vary from what your order is.I ordered the King Prawn Fried Rice and it was delicious. They also make great bubble tea and I recommend trying the Oh no Oreo and the Rose milk tea
Ordered a beef pho and papaya salad to go. The order took 40 minutes to prepare. papaya salad was fine, but nothing to get excited about (a shame as this dish is one I usually love anywhere else). And the beef pho… the beef was ice cold and had thick veins of gristly fat through every slice, think back to the beef your primary school served with school dinners only colder and all around worse, the noodles were essentially a brick, in a separate box, they had clearly been in the box so long they had all clumped into one solid gelatinous block. The broth was lovely but provided in a tub so small you couldn’t add the other ingredients to it so you must have your own large ramen/pho bowl to enjoy it in. For an order over £20 I was very much put off coming here again. A shame really
Toppings were very good. If only they can master the bread they use they would have got a 5. I grew up in the Vancouver Canada and I have been eating some of the best Banh Mi in the world.
Fast serving, good food and big portions
Pho Street locates at the centre of the Cutty Sark and is 3 minutes walk away from the Greenwich park. The restaurant is specialised in Vietnamese Street food, with a localised mixture of yummy dishes on the menu. The restaurant is also designed in a culturally-mixed way, with wooden chairs and tables, open kitchen and counter, paintings and decos in various styles - a relaxed and comfy place for hang-outs and gatherings. And most importantly, the food is amazing! I have not tried everything on the menu, so hope to visit again in future! 😉💃🏻
Was looking for a place to eat in Greenwich, something different and went here. Ordered some tea and food. Tea was ok. Food was absolutely terrible. Local takeaway does exceptional food for half the price. Ordered Singapore fried rice, crispy duck meat was full of fat. It was just awful. And the staff werent exactly friendly. Wouldnt recommend this place Nor would ever go there again. Overall bad, terrible, dry food without much flavour, and very much over priced. Save your money and get the food from your local would be 100 times better food and service
I enjoyed my noodle was delicious 🤤 but my friend dislike the sauce that came with his rice .
Ive been coming here for years. Cosy ambience, fresh and decent food, especially spicy Phos, papaya salad, lotus salad and the Vietnamese spring rolls. Dine in experience is always great (team over there is lovely, including the "moody waiter", as others mentioned in the comments). :Come, be nice and respectful to others and youll be treated the same 😁
Ordered a Lemongrass chicken with rice via a delivery app and it was awful! The chicken was old, the salad had no sauce and the taste of lemongrass was absent. There was so much chicken skin and tasted like sxxt. I paid over £10 for such a terrible dish. Never going to order from this place again.
I went to Pho Street in Greenwich, this review is more so for the service, than the food.I was served by the most amazing young lady, by the name of Alexandra. She was very kind, polite and patient with me, her customer service was outstanding.(5*****)Alexandra should be appreciated and recognised for her handwork at this restaurant.I wish her all the very best for her future.Thank you Alex
I have been to Pho Street several times in the past few months. Great location near Greenwich Park and Greenwich Market, in good distance between DLR station and train station. My most favourite is the starter, Vietnamese spring rolls that I ordered every time. Both noodle menu like pho and bun (spicy oneare great, for beef you can choose rare or well done. The bowl is pretty big. Bubble tea is also lovely. Clean place, pretty spacious and accept card which is nice.
Excellent restaurant for a quick lunch. The Chicken Pho was very tasty and the Coconut and red bean milk tea was also very good.
Amazing food with brilliant service, ordered some spring rolls, sweet potato fries and some delicious chicken soup.Enjoyed the food and very fast takeaway, was served by a beautiful young lady with great hair. 🙂Keep up the good work.
We enjoyed our lunch here. Ambiance is good and food is delicious. Menu consists of noodle soups and other vietnamese staples. Portion size is good and very nice tastes. Would love to visit here again !!!
Its an ok place if you want something quick to fill your stomach. But nothing exciting to rave about. Food is a bit bland.
Not my thing. Tasty enough food but youll find that Greenwich is lacking in good food in general. This restaurant is no different from any other fast food joint, I wont be going there on my own accord again.
Starters good but Banh mi was pretty awful. Wrong bread, hardly any meat as the filling was bulked out by massive pieces of cucumber
Fantastic food, authentic, healthy, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious!I chose the meat special rice.Great sauces, very succulent and tender meat and the vegetables were cooked just right. The staff are lovely and friendly, the service excellent and the attention to detail superb.Perfectly located on King William Street just next to Royal Greenwich park, I cannot recommend this lovely restaurant enough, I will definitely be coming back!Family friendly too, so ideal for after a day out in the park with family or friends, lovely relaxed atmosphere and you could not ask for better service 😊
Amazing Pho and Vietnam street food choice when you visit the Greenwich Market. Authentic Pho soup, which you can taste and find have been cooked by hours. And also you can get good service when you eating here. (My friend had left his wallet here even if we haven’t mentioned left, but the staff Ita, chasing us toward to the park and talked us that lol! Lovely restaurant desired to everything and visit again. :)
Fuss free and delicious. The pork noodle salad, spring rolls and salt and pepper squid were all good. The menu is more like half viet and half Chinese but that’s not a bad thing!
We really like this place. They are under new management and it can be seen. The place is super clean (including the toiletsand the food is very tasty. Bubble teas are great too! We are definitely coming back.
COVID safety measures are in place. The staff there are really nice, they make sure everyone uses hand sanitizer and wear a mask upon entering. They seat people spaced out. They clean surfaces very thoroughly after each diner leaves. The honey dew milk bubble tea is REALLY good, the pho was nice and the vegetable spring roll was tasty. It was nice time and we felt safe. Also, the bathroom was clean.
Don’t waste your time at this place. Awful customers service coupling with mediocre food and drinks. We queued outside for ages around for the waitress to prioritising three or four people party rather than the two of us. The worst part of all this was she didn’t communicate or apologise or say anything at all to us. The staff are super unfriendly and very moody. The food was really bland and synthetic. If you want Vietnamese food, this isn’t really the place to get it. It’s like a cheap unfriendly eatery for student crowd - never again for us!
Went there several times for lunch because its just minutes of walk from my work place. I always order pho dac biet (the noodle soup with prawn, chicken and beef). Unfortunately, after todays visit I have decided not to come and eat at this place any more. £10.25 for such a small portion of noodle soup is not acceptable (the portion was bigger before or my memory was wrong?). Theres only one prawn, two or three small pieces of beef and a few more but still small pieces of chicken in the soup. The noodle is also very few.I didnt use the provided green soup spoon because it is not clean. This makes me feel worry about how they clean their cutlery...
Food was delicious. Didnt have to wait long and it came out lovely and hot. Service very good, friendly staff, quick service. Heard so many good things about this restaurant and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Would highly recommend! One of the best bubble teas Ive had.
Having recently gone to Vietnam and enjoyed the food there, we thought wed give this restaurant a try when we came across it in Greenwich. We were told to take a seat at any table. When we chose our seat - we were then asked if we wanted to move table as we were sat next to the toilet door. We said no and they got us to move the table back away from the door. Why put a table there in the first place? We went to the desk and ordered our starters and main course. You choose your drinks yourself from a chiller. The starters came quite quickly and were very tasty. However while still eating the starters the main course arrived and sat there getting cold. The main dishes were nothing special. The chicken teriyaki just tasted like chicken in garlic gravy. The chicken curry was bland. Overall I wouldnt recommend this place - although the staff were very friendly and efficient.
Great bubble tea place with good and friendly staff. Would come here again the prices are good too but i have not tried their food only bubble tea. They have a great selection of tea types and a full bubble tea bar with many different topping.
First of all the service was great; the staff were very polite and welcoming. The venue is not crowded meaning you can actually enjoy your food and not feel rushed. The waiting service is similar to Nandos as in you get seated, go the the counter and pay for your order and then the food is served to you at your seating placeThe food was very tasty! Had the Lemongrass chicken with white rice. The ratio of chicken to rice was spot on and the lemon sauce was a great touch. The bubble tea was very good, however I feel there was very slightly too much tapiocaOverall I would recommend and if you like Vietnamese food, is a good shout!
Great atmosphere, fast service and delicious Pho being served at the Phone Street in Greenwich.First time in this restaurant.Nice, fresh selection of mint leaves, red chilly and onion served on the side to customize my soup. The lobster Pho is fantastic. I will definitely come back again.
I have never been to a Vietnamese restaurant before so I cannot make comparisons here. I ordered a bowl of Pho with beef (rareand a Banh Mi, a pork sandwich. I was fascinated by the amount of herbs used in this culinary tradition, I could really taste the leafy flavour in the soup. The broth was truly good, but it got even better after adding some Sriracha and soy sauce. I felt disappointed by the beef mainly, which did not have anything wrong to be fair, but it was not remarkable either. The rice noodles in the Pho fell gelatinous and did not hold onto the flavour of the broth. That bowl was really humongous. The sandwich was nice but there was very little of pork meat inside. Given my lack of experience I cannot be very objective here but I think the dishes are a tad overpriced.
