A variety of pho, plus vermicelli, banh mi & other Vietnamese favorites served in low-key quarters.
Nice broth.Edit: (-1 starPrices have steadily increased. And increased. Over $14 for a large pho. Inflation I guess 🤷♂️Edit 2: $16 for large.
Been coming here for over 10 years . Consistent top quality food and service . The BEST Vietnamese restaurants hands down in lower main land .
Very Small portion for large Pho.Their large size would be regular size for most places. Broth had a bit weird smell today.....I recall it could be from beef bones they used today under the hot weather? Maybe, the broth pot was not cleaned well? I was not sure about it, but the broth did smell weird. Their bean sprout was served cooked, but it was not looked fresh even cooked. No basil or green vegi served at all. Only cooked bean sprout and a lemon wedge and a couple of jalapeno slices. Tea served in a pot which was a good thing. The place was clean.
Best pho in Coquitlam. Lemongrass chicken on rice is amazing too. Good quality and delicious, every single time. Highly recommend! I forgot to take photos before I dug in, I couldn’t wait!
Delicious Pho Tai and excellent service 😊
BEST Vietnamese food in the world. High quality meats very clean and fresh veggies. Best service and always feel welcome there I highly recommend this place Shawn
after school, not much people. service good, pho taste good, more meat than expected espacially due covid🥰🥰🥰
Excellent quality and taste! Ive been here several times and never been let down. I usually order the large 15 (brisket phoor 21 (chicken pho). Truly tasty!
Great service. It would be great if they have some vegan options. I had to pick between chicken and beef broth.
The pho here is someway different than other Vietnamese restaurants I have been, but the taste is quite good.
Love this place for good pho! Thought the ingredients were fresh and the soup was not overly salty like at some other places. Prices are decent as well. Would recommend!
Delicious pho, clean place, great stuff worker, very cozy place, big enough parking for vehicls
Best pho I ever had, clean and very cozy place with great stuff working over there, has enough parking right in front of the place, center of Coquitlam.Recommended
I love their spicy noodle soup. It has authentic taste using fish sauce. And I like their lightly blenched bean sprouts served with their soup menu as they lose raw smell and flavor of the sprouts which I dont prefer that much.
We love this restaurant! The food is delicious. The service is fast and friendly! We have been coming back every time we are visiting BC!
I had large house special phŏ soup. Ididnt taste any thing. Large bowl is more like small. rice noodle taste wierd. small portion. 16$ .This food should be 9$.
This is a rare gem near the Coquitlam Center, a small but traditional Vietnamese restaurant. Foods are tasty in particular to the house special noodle, pawn salad rolls and grilled chicken and pork rice which are my favorites. Servers are friendly and prices are reasonable too! Patronize as regular customer now😋
If there were negative stars, I would give them as many as I can. Ordered pho for the whole family and there were some insects in the soup. Called and the person said she didnt work at that time. Told me to call back later. It was disgusting and NEVER going back. BAD SERVICE & VERY BAD FOOD!!!
Good food and staff and owner are always very friendly. Our family always come here for Vietnamese noodles. #38 is our most favorite. I just wish they have the Three Volor Dessert (Cha Ba Mau).
Although the price of the pho was cheap, I felt the soup taste was very bland! It’s a great place for last resort however I’ve had better pho! I was also extremely upset that the menu said there were “meatballs” in the soup and they only gave you ONE?! Usually I get 3-4. Won’t be coming back here.
The best pho place I’ve ever been to. The food is Authentic. Good portions and Very tasty. They take pride in what they do and it’s a clean establishment.
We order seafood noodle soup and grilled lemon grass pork rice. Either one is tasty. No wonder during the eating time here is always jam packed.Definitely come back to try other dishes!
Average priced pho place and taste is decent. Beef broth taste is not bad but the brisket slices are more to the leaner side. Chicken wings was a hit with our table full of kids!
It was FINE, but in an area so spoiled with quality pho options I can’t recommend.Didn’t feel very fresh, and the side plate of sprouts looked old. No basil, or any other fresh veggie garnish.Better off driving a few extra KM west to any of the great spots on Hastings.
You cant ask for better Pho than what Pho Phu Thinh delivers. The broth is without a doubt the best I have tasted, it was so flavorful instead of just salty water some places serve. The service was great with a quick turn around on order time to having a bowl at your table. I will definitely being coming back more often.
Fresh and delicious foods. Great service. Love this place!
This place has the best ever Pho. I go there with my grand daughter. Shes the one who first took me here. This is her favourite place. The owner knows who she is and always says hello to her.
I had the #13 pho soup. Very tasty. Good service and a good price. Small is $9.95 and filled me up nicely. Very quick turnaround from order to eat! Highly recommend.
Me and my husband love Pho. We have tried so many places, but the pho we had here was something else. It was very fresh and could easily feel that freshness. It my first time that I finished my whole bowl. The only thing that I didnt like was that the meat was not enkugh comparing to other places, and we had to order more. BUT I prefer having fresh food that tastes perfect than having more meat.
This is hands down the best Pho place in the lower mainland. Their broth tastes home made, service is always nice and you can tell the owner takes pride of his business.Ive been coming to this place for the last 6-7 years. It is walking distance from Douglas College so it became a regular place to come have a bite, re energize, and catch up on some homework. I have brought many friends and my family and people are always happy i showed them this place. They have spring rolls which are really good but their shrimp roll is mouth watering, the peanut sauce it comes with to dip is just out of this world. If you dont live near this place it is absolutely worth the drive
The service is excellent, the food definitely delicious, and the atmosphere authentic.
Im not one to give five stars. I believe that nothing is perfect, but this restaurant.. is amazing. My favourite food is Pho, Im always on the hunt for good, authentic Pho and I have tried many places with my dad.Lets start with the broth, it is hearty, fresh with a nice sweet kick. The broth is also not too salty. I have tried making Pho at home various times but their broth is always better.Next the noodles. They have never, ever been undercooked, nor overcooked. Always a perfect mouth-melting texture that slightly soaks up the flavour of the broth.Lastly, the additions. My favourite order is the No. 8 House-Special Pho without tendon. The meat is uncooked, as it should, and cooks perfectly in the broth. The greens are fresh, slightly crunchy and add a nice look to the bowl. The bean sprouts are never old, the tripe has a perfect texture, the limes are ripe, the beef balls are tasty and the jalapenos are spicy.Another dish is the prawn salad rolls. They are smooth, tender and a little crunchy. The peanut sauce that comes with it adds a nice flavour. The chicken wings are also amazing. The service is fast, prices are relatively low compared to other Pho places, the owner is friendly and the food is real. I highly recommend this place. Also, a lot of these reviews are false. One review is very low saying that the large size only has more broth, but the same amount of noodles and additions. This is false, they are very generous with their sizes large has more soup than small, broth and noodles. Also, another review says that there was plastic in the soup, and another says the chicken wasnt cooked. I dont have any evidence, but I have been here dozens of times, ever since I was 7, (now Im 15), and nothing like this has ever happened.I feel I owe them this review, and I happily speak the truth.
We ordered a lemon grass chicken and we were severely disappointed with the result. when we cut into it, it was raw and bloody. we told the waiter about it and without apologizing they decided to re cook the chicken that we first had. we wanted a new one but they just left us waiting. we got sick and tired of waiting so we went to pay and the owner was glaring at us and did not even APOLOGIZED.I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THIS RESTAURANT.
so tasty less MSG and bettwe than another pho .
Love love love this place, Beef stew pho is tops ..sad when looking through my rearview mirror driving away🤳😪
Good friendly service and flavourful meat. The portions seemed to have shrunken though.
My impression that the larger sized pho option comes with the same amount of meat and noodles as the regular sized option. Just more broth. I was not too happy with that. The broth was tasty but nothing spectacular. Ambience was nice though.
While certainly not a bad choice for Pho. Not a particular standout for me, either. There are better choices in the Tri Cities.Service was fairly indifferent and not particularly friendly. The owners (managers?there seemed to be more friendly. But perhaps the young lady serving us was having a bad day... The restaurant was clean and tidy though it wasnt particularly busy when we visited. Still, its always a good sign when the eating area and washrooms are kept clean. We were given only one small lemon chunk for the two of us. But more was promptly brought out when we asked for some. No basil or even cilantro on top of the sprouts. Sprouts were however, fresh. Cilantro was included on top of the Pho when they brought it out but it was not a substantial amount. Using bits of fresh basil and cilantro in your Pho really adds to the flavor profile and would have been a nice touch if either would have been included on top of the sprouts like it is in most Pho restaurants .The broth, which is the main thing I consider when reviewing a Pho location, was decent. It wasnt overly salty and had pretty decent flavor. The main flavor profile was meat, with everything else playing second fiddle. I feel it could have used a bit more acidity and lemongrass in the flavoring. I prefer a more balanced taste with more depth. The meat portion (meatballs and raw flank steakin my Large size Pho was quite small I would say. One of the smaller portions of meat I have ever gotten in a larger size Pho. The soup bowl itself seemed on the smaller side.So overall not bad but not great either. As I already mentioned, some better choices for Pho in the Tri-Cities for sure and I wouldnt go out of my way to come here.
Had #37. $11.77. BBQ chicken is delicious. Spring roll has lighter taste compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I tried. The sauce to pour on the vermicelli also has lighter taste. The interior is exceptionally well maintained. Sauce bottles on the table are very clean!
Best tasting pho in the area. Serving sizes arent the biggest, but the soup is great tasting- not full of fat or salt like some other places. Best of all the workers there are super friendly, especially the owners.
Excellent Service and the food is delicious. Was impressed how attentive the manager was while we had lunch here last week. He was greeting customers and taking orders. They mistakenly brought me the wrong appetizer. Even before I could say something the manager came up and realized the mistake. He corrected it very quicky. Thats what I call service. Definitely making this a regular spot to eat for delicious Vietnamese food.
Quiet and really cozy. Soup might have been too salty for my taste but still was really good. Never had pho where the bean spouts were cooked before hand. I thought that was kind of strange. It was good regardless.
By far the best quality pho in Tri-Cities area. Food quality is a 5-star rating, however their prices seem to have skyrocketed in the past few years, hence the 4-star review.Have been here dozens of times and have never had a complaint about the food or the service.
One of the best pho places in coquitlam! Owner is friendly and nice as well.
Just like any other Vietnamese restaurant except the service was below my expectation.Pros:- generous portion- located in a plaza with easy access and parking- quick food service immediately after ordering- seated immediately- cool pics on the wall. Décor is average but cleanCons:- during peak times, parking could be an issue- food was same as any Vietnamese place- price was more expensive than food court with no value-added service- service was terrible. They forget about you after they serve you.
I ordered the bun bo hue here and it was disappointing. The broth was missing some key flavours and was mostly just beefy and salty. The wings we ordered were good, though not what we initially came for.
Amazing authentic pho. Great atmosphere, family owned and ran. Gets busy a lot. You dont feel crappy after eating here like many other pho places. I go here lots. Little upset they stopped serving Vietnamese subs.
Food was good, but the service was not. Ordered pho, chicken vermicelli and a chicken sub. It took a while to get any food and the it all came out separately! My husband was almost done his Pho by the time my food arrived! Completely forgot to bring my sons juice.
Good food. Excellent spice. Standard Vietnamese fare.
Ordered a large but the portion is still very small. Soup is bland. Not enough meat. Fast service. Restaurant looks clean. They accept credit cards. There are better places in Vancouver.
