Simple, modern chain dining room serving Vietnamese noodle soup and street-food dishes.
Pho Battersea in Batouri
Description
Privilege
Lovely service combined with nice food and a very pleasant atmosphere made for the best dinner I have had in a chain restaurant in quite a while. I have to emphasise the care put into having meal options for everyone, from vegan to gluten free to low carb (cauliflower rice!!!First time I can enjoy a proper curry at night with some kind of rice (Im diabetic, carbs at night when I want to have an early night are not ideal). Thank you!
MoreGreat, fast Vietnamese restraint smack bang in the middle of Soho. Tasty food, reasonably priced for West End and great location for pre-theatre dinner.
MoreGood service and always great food
Delicious, fairly priced food and exceptional service are the things that characterised our visit to Pho. Ava couldn’t do enough for us, moving us away from a boisterous table and offering to move us back when they had left. The menu is authentic, fresh and delightful. Thank you.
MoreI really enjoyed the food and the service was really polite, helpful and kind. I will definitely come back.
MoreOrdered a takeaway. Missing items. No sauce for summer rolls. Poor.
Very Friendly Staff, the food Is amazing. And the summer rolls with Peanut Sauce was super tasty
MoreFried rice is delish. I was tempted to remove a star as for some reason Pho (all branches that we purchase from e.g. Guilforddont allow customers to have squid as a take out and it is the best !
MoreLovely fast service and exceptional waiters…menu is well priced! It will not break the bank and the quality of the food is great! The chicken is halal which is a plus! I highly recommend the chicken fried noodles, they have a great selection of beverages including fresh juices and lemonade. Restaurant does serve alcohol and non halal products so double check with waiter when placing your food orders.
MoreWe love vietnamese food and we both had Pho these were delicious I had the the crab pho and my wife had the house phone they seriously fill the bowl with alot of meat.My favourite coffee in the world is vietnamese coffee and theres is magnificent. The service is also outstanding thank you all.Highly recommendedNew pictures are vegetarian spring rolls and chicken wings certainly the best I have ever tasted
MoreExcellent quality and value food. Ive been going once or twice a week since the lockdowns (and before).Surprisingly, the best chicken wings that Ive found in London, always reliably very good and crispy.
MoreOrdered a takeaway through Deliveroo and they failed to deliver one of the dishes.Tried to call a number of times and no answer! I’d suggest saving money and cancelling your landline!Wont be ordering from here again! First time & last time!
MoreYep. Top-drawer Vietnamese Street food with options for vegan and gluten free choices. Very tasty food and not to be missed. Staff are friendly and accommodating making for an altogether enjoyable nosh. Excellent.
MoreUsed to be good. Not anymore. Just been there and they got wrong the order not only with the starter but main also...not that tasty either. Many of old staff have left and that reflects the present situation. I asked for a fork twice as the waitress seemed not bother but kept talking with the barista. As nothing is forever then Pho has lost what was its forte. Time to go somewhere else.
MoreFood usually great not so much on recent visit, also way too hot and no windows open
MoreExcellent service from Ava, a new face! Handled a very rude customer brilliantly and was happy to explain a dish to me and make recommendations- which were delicious! Thank you Ava and Pho Battersea team
MoreTasty food and excellent friendly service. We felt welcomed, well taken care of throughout our meal and enjoyed our dinner.
MoreAmazing place gorgeous food would recommend 5 starCant wait to vist again
Tasty food WHEN they get it right. They have got my order wrong TWICE, after calling the restaurant, the same receptionist confirmed the changes then conveniently forgot what my changes were as she couldn’t find my ‘order number’ (despite telling her on the phone). Pretty annoying, going to the Balham branch moving forward.
MoreStaff are very lovely and generous portionsThe spring rolls and squid were a bit tasteless but the pho was good
MoreThe pho here is consistently amazing. Very nice and attentive service as well.
Overall really poor service. Staff unfriendly, not bothered and rude. The manager had an issue with my bag on the floor and was rude about it. When we had made a reservation they gave us a small cramped table by the window. The restaurant was empty so asked to be moved which the staff member was reluctant and said the tables were all booked but agreed after I further explained that its not ideal place to sit.The waitress who served us never bothered to check on us. The staff overall came across as unfriendly and unprofessional at times. The manager was very rude about my bag on the floor. She approached me and stated that it needs to be moved and its annoying her. I was shocked by her behaviour and rudeness. The table they put us was near the bar and the manager kept brushing past my chair instead of going around me. Again careless and unprofessional attitude. This was my first visit to this restaurant and I wont be visiting it again. Unprofessional, rude and disgusting.
MoreI have never been here before.Food was good. Stuff was welcoming. The Portuguese’s waitress is really professional and nice 😊
MoreExcellent meal prompting me to want to return and sample the rest of the menu. Worth visiting, especially if you like the warmth of chili.
MoreSuper friendly staff, fast service and good value for money. My curry was creamy and delicious and just love This Isnt chicken! Nice they serve Baevertown. Very honest prices and cosy location. Enjoyed!
MoreI love pho! However I did see the waitress mishear a customer and bring them PORK rather than prawns. In a world where approx 40% of people dont eat pork (for religious reasons onlythat seems like a major error to make. The customer was very nice about it though, my soul was cringing.
MoreThis Pho is cosy, warm and welcoming. The food is obviously delicious. I like the way the staff also enjoy the food and drinks and can give you great recommendations for what to eat or little extras to make the dish even better.
MoreIt was yummy especially the beef brisket pho. The staff were especially accommodating and lovely would come back here again. Do be careful of their work fried rice. When they say spicy they really mean spicy
MoreAbsolutely amazing food, great staff and environment. Made me feel like I was in Vietnam again
MoreInteresting food in good atmosphere. The menu has completely changed from years ago but the pulled beef noodles soup I had was really tasty and filling. The service was good with the exception of charging different amounts on our cards to what was on the bill. I am thinking of revisiting for the food.
MoreOh how I have missed Pho!!! Has to be in my all top 5 favourite restaurants. The chicken summer rolls with peanut satay were to die for!
MoreFresh, fast and tasty food, great choice of drinks. And most importantly, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff! Ive been twice, and both times I was looking a bit of a mess as I was on my way home from paddling. Still got 5-star service, even though I only had a tea the first time. Definitely my new favourite food stop on the way home 🤩
MoreFood is consistently good. Their main course is great value for money. I usually order beef brisket Pho. I also like the new menu with pan-Asian curries and rice. Prawn crackers are great too. The staff are friendly and generally you get good service. My only suggestion is serve fresh chillies with kids menu Pho. Don’t assume kids don’t eat chillies.
MoreReally enjoyed my 1st time here! The food was really fresh and delicious, came quickly, staff were friendly and helpful. Only gave 4 stars because of the long wait times for service, seems to be a lot of delivery orders so at times felt like they took priority and it took over 20 mins to get anyones attention to be able to ask for the bill; I defo would be back again though.
MoreMoved to Clapham only 1 month ago and visit Pho twice already. Both times we had a really nice time. Food is absolutely delicious, loving the summer rolls and squids. Staff was very friendly and attendive too. Surely we going back very soon again :)
MoreWe did a click and collect order for Pho. Food was ready within 10-15 mins. It was packed very well and no spillages on the way home. We both really enjoyed our Pho and it was very filling. Would recommend and we will be back for sure!
MoreOne of my favourite place. Now they have lunch special!!! very great price. Only 9.95£!!
MoreEverything was delicious and portions are big enough. Clean and modern interior. Thanks 🙏🏼 We’ll back again 😊 p.s. perfect for celiac disease victims lol
MoreIts a cosy noodles restaurant.Perfect for a quick lunch.
An extensive menu with traditional and non-traditional Pho. Prices ranged between £9.50-£11 approximately for their Pho. Good size, tasty portions! They also had rice dishes and great starters to choose from. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere of the restaurant was just right.
MoreWonderful place, never disappoints! Beef pho with 3 types of mushroom is very delicious 👍
MoreAnother one..We were around Battersea and noticed there was a Pho based here so we popped in for a visit. The place itself was on par with its other chains, interior was nicely placed to work with its theme. The food was pretty good too, slightly different from the others, yet had the same base.Staff that day were doing what was needed. All in all, nothing bad, worth your visit..
MoreWe love this place favourite for all the family. The kids love the egg fried rice and simple chicken noodle soup. We love the spicy green phone.
MoreBest way to fix your hangover)Variety and options4 stars only because a glass of tap water I ordered was never brought to me
MorePho beef brisket meal was a winner. Other were good, but not much more than a glorified salad. Vietnamese drinks were a little disappointing.
MoreThe atmosphere was great. Service was up to a high standard but you can tell the staff are very busy as they were constantly in and out of the bar and kitchen, but I did still get my order fairly quickly. The food itself was good and I enjoyed it, but as a far east Asian I know the recipe has been modified and westernised to suit the European taste. Nevertheless it was still a good place to be.
MoreFresh tasty food, cozy environment and friendly staff. Perfect recipe for a good night out. Going back again for sure!!!
MoreWe went on a Thursday night and at first it wasn’t crowded but was packed by the time we left. The service was fantastic: swift, very friendly and helpful. Service alone gets 10 stars. The atmosphere is warm yet vibrant. The seating varies depending on which part of the restaurant you’re in. Unfortunately we sat on the stools which weren’t that comfortable and there was no room to put anything. There are a few coat hangers throughout but not enough for all the customers on stools. The food was the big letdown for me. I had the Pho Ga (chicken phowhich was very bland and it came with the wide rice noodles which wasn’t made clear. I prefer the thin rice noodles because they’re easier to eat. The broth was pretty tasteless so I had to keep adding sauces — including the Hoisin sauce which isn’t on the table but they’ll gladly bring it out. The ingredients were fresh and the chicken was obviously cooked there with thick pieces which was nice but unfortunately it was dry, rubbery and difficult to eat. I would chew and chew but couldn’t swallow it because it wouldn’t break up. Had to spit it out. The huge wooden ladle was fun to use. The chopsticks were wooden which I actively prefer because they grasp better. My spouse had the vegetable fried spring rolls which were freshly made and very deep fried and greasy (according to him). He however did really enjoy the taste and would get them again. He also had the spicy beef Pho which looked spicy but he said it wasn’t very spicy so he added peppers, more chili oil and lots of sauces. He’s been to Pho Battersea before and said it was bland the first time and wanted to take me to get my opinion. Sadly I agreed. Because the service and atmosphere were excellent we’d return but won’t get Pho next time.
MoreGood food and great location. Staff were friendly, attentive and explained the menu well. Great for small and large groups of friends to have a meal and chat. Meals were prepared quite quickly, with a perfect wait between starters and mains. Short walk Clapham Junction Station. No reservations.
MoreVery nice service, reasonable price and portion, quite close to the authentic cuisine.I went there with a friend. The waitress came and patiently explained the menu to us since we were first time in that restaurant. We went there when the restaurant was not busy so the food came rather quick. We both try the pho ga (chicken pho soup). The condiments are fresh and beautiful. You can smell the freshness of the lemon grass and the lime! My personal preference (im uniqueis no sauce or other stuff in the existing dish, so i cannot tell you the fresh taste of the condiments. The broth is nice and thick but not too thick that stuff the stomach. The noodles were a bit short and i didnt feel enough, but maybe i was too hungry? The chicken is mainly lean with a bit of grey meat, and it is pulled to silky lines on the top layer of soup.At the end, they politely offer menu for dessert, but we didn’t want it. We requested the bill and it came right away, but the restaurant was busy, and so after 10 mins my friend went up and paid. My friend had pulled out the money right away when the bill arrived, but they did not wait for 5 seconds, and that made us waited for 10 mins. Hence the four star instead of five.
