Very disappointed, the food was cold and very bland.Overpriced and barely pub food. Wont be back!

Food was well below average and cold.My partners was the same.Wouldnt recommend eating there. Go to a pub where you will get a better meal for less $$

Went for dinner and it was great. Prices in are good.

I have just spent the last 2 days here using the Anzac room for an event. The staff were amazing, going above and beyond to accommodate our group. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The venue was extremely clean, well presented and a beautiful reminder of the fallen who served to protect us. Thank you for making our weekend run smoothly and feel so special.

Sorry guys, wasn’t great. Been before and wasn’t great but thought we would try again. No love put in the dishes, thick batter and calamari appeared to be fake.

I attended with a group ofvietnam vets 23102022 as part of our long planned Melbourne reunion.the menu was excellent, I chose the beer battered flake,absolutely mouthwatering. I cleaned the plate & wanted to lick it but decorum prevailed.From feedback on the bus,I would say there was not one complaint,in fact nothing but rave reviews. I think everyone thought the club was extraordinary overall.10/10 to your team.

Great place for family to enjoy their lunch or dinner. Reasonably priced & have special menus for seniors & kids. Even vegans are catered for!

Located on the edge of Cowes. Its has a lovely atmosphere and a good place to relax or be social. The food is great. Very well presented.

It was a lovely venue to have lunch and plenty of room.Although I have to admit I did not get the chance to have a meal there this time due to myself had a bad fall as I wS walking up towards register to order.The staff were wonderful assisting me after I had felled and call the Ambulance as I had hurt my knee badly and hit my head on a chaas I came down. A staff member provided a ice pack for my head and another staff member kepp talking to on the ground with me.Thank you so much and I will come again personally another time.

The food was ok but was a bit bland, though the waitress dropped salad everywhere and I was expected to pick it up myself, the waiter was going very obvious bad looks thinking I purposely dropped. Bad service, over staff were pretty nice though.

Service was ok, Food was pretty average pub food, nothing special or upmarket. I probably wouldnt return.

Earlier this morning , my poor boy had to go do a number 2 quite urgently but they refused him because he is 17 years of age. In the end he had to go to the bushes out the front and use some leafs, This isn’t what you expect from the local rsl. The lady behind the counter should be fired !

Rude staff and terrible food. Half-raw salmon and yucky mash potato made me feel sick. Wouldn’t go here ever again.

First time visitors for lunch meals were absolutely delicious and big nothing bad to say about them and the service was good and staff extremely friendly

I went for a drive to Philip island and passed by for dinner with my wife and 3 year old son on Thursday 4/8/22 I just want to say the food was delicious and the chef and kitchen staff were very helpful as I wanted some thing not spicy for my son and they had all the time to help fix something for him the mussels were amazing the steak the fish for that I am a person who will go all the way there for dinner or lunch I just want to say thank you to all as a security that worked in pubs and clubs for years you guys are great I advise everyone to go and try and enjoy. I stopped going there for 10 years because the food was terrible. Today I was back because we had a gathering and Im glad I came. This place has improved by leaps and bounce. I had the fish of the day and it was absolutely delightful. So yummy. The service is also excellent. Im coming back here again after such a long hiatus.

From a food perspective I guess if you set your expectations low, you wont be disappointed.Just average.

Very nice place little kids play area and large clean restaurant the meals were terrific we had the scotch fillet which was great. The bar and beer on tap is alway great and there is a large gaming area also.

We had a booking and it still took 15 mins to be taken to our table. I had the soup that was warm and didnt taste so great, the risotto was sloppy and had a hair in it. Never ever again

The rsl here in Phillip island is lovely if your with friends and looking for bite to eat would definitely recommend of course they a decent selection of military history around including firearms, a m113 apc etc .

Went there on a bus trip stopover and food was preordered. All freshly cooked excellent quality

cant fault the food - but had an extremely bad experience with the security man at the door . super rude, unprofessional, the only reason I didn’t leave it because I was hungry .

Excellent service and atmosphere! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were great and being a senior was an added bonus. Drinks were quite expensive. But no hesitation in recommending this venue!

We had a good lunch here today. Staff were good. But I must say. The $28 chicken parma was a processed schnitzel with a round processed supermarket style ham slice. Was filling and well cooked but should be a $18 lunch special considering that there are pokies giving a good income. The other meals coming out looked great. We will be back.

Had lunch and a flutter did not come out loosing. Decor of Bistro has been changed and is much brighter, lunch was very nice had roast beef, hubby had pork rissoles.

Pleasant meal in a nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.We had a curry (husband mainand a satay (me entree sizenext time will order sides of vegetables as the servings were very small.

Very nice venue. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and provided excellent service in the dining room and bar. Good choice of menu and seniors meals were just the right size and excellent value.

Just hands down the best RSL Ive been to in Australia. Menu was smaller than most RSLs Ive been to and there was real lack of smaller meals. Also the bar was out of a number wines and had no Heineken zero as they had sold out! Shows how busy this place is which is why bookings are essential Thursday - Sundays. The food was excellent and the desserts were extremely tasty. Meals were huge as most RSLs do, but the decor was really pleasant and open and it had a nice display area behind the bar of memorabilia which my kid really enjoyed.

Cant buy pints!. Meals arent very good compared to how much they charge. I figure the only reason this is kept open is the money they make from people on Pookies and the tourists who assume B RSL will serve affordable traditional Aussie fair.... Nope.

The staff were really nice and welcoming the drinks were cold. Unfortunately the parma was like crunchy rubber and had just as much flavour. The satay sticks could be better at home and the flathead was muddy. Kids meal came with ice cream, bulla ice cream on a stick. Paying full price. A veteran card didnt seem to get a discount. Probably need a few more pensions soaked up in the pokies to improve.

Got the feeling they dont like the customer to deviate from the menu. As the weather was cooler today I asked for chips and veg instead of chips and salad...no chips! As my daughter is pregnant we asked for salad instead of coleslaw with her burger...no salad!Also, Victorias covid rules are supposed to be relaxing. Not at Cowes RSL!

What an absolute delight! The staff are wonderful and friendly. The food is ridiculously huge and super yum!Make sure you have a booking as (quite rightly soits very popular!Space for the kids to play and a pool table in the sports bar. What more do you need?!?

Have been hanging ing out for a roast dinner for weeks, got it today. Food wonderful. Staff lovely.

I love this place because the coffee is awesome and the company is great! Supporting the Rsl is supporting the Australian veterans and soldiers and its very close to the beach!

Good selection of food, price is reasonable, food is delicious. We ordered garlic prawns, came with rice, salad and freshly fried fries. Came really quickly as well. Staff were friendly.

Well presented RSL and dining area that has a good variety of food options. Generous meal sizes. Service was good and all the meals came out together. Plenty of gluten free menu options and an indoor play area for children. There are a number of interesting military artifacts worth taking a look at.

Very good restaurant. Food is also very good. Staff members are very active and interactive.

Came here with family as we come down here often first time Ive been to the RSL for dinner. Food did take a little longer to come out than normal but waiter did apologize. The young guy way too had a really nice manners and was very professional food tastes really nice. I had the back straps and a couscous type salad thing. Would order it again.
