We opted in for the iPad experience and really enjoyed it! The museum was well done and had a lot of great history and facts to learn. The location was most accessible by walking.

Visited the museum with my husband. We used the audio tour which was informative and helped to guide us around the exhibits. There was plenty to keep us entertained for the afternoon. At the end we had a drink in the cafe which was good too.

If you want to know why Eindhoven is called "city of Philips" then you need to visit this museum.I recommend doing it when you arrive in the city as then it is easier to spot that several companies in a region were part of Philips earlier.

A great museum telling the story of the Philips history and the companys influence on Eindhoven. Even though, it sometimes feels more like advertisement of the company, it is a great experience, nonetheless. And as a foreigner, I appreciate ALL texts are translated into English.

I really enjoyed this museum. The layout and pieces that you got to see inside were well worth the price. I would recommend this place if you want to find out about the past of the Philips company and if you want to see some old technology. They also have audio guides which give a lot more information about the things that are found in the museum.

If you have any relationship with Eindhoven or are curious about the major force that shaped it in the last century, then you should visit this museum. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of recognition and nostalgia. For example, they had the exact type of television we used to have at home. Also some PSV history ( which I am less interested in ), some interactive exhibits and a very nice exhibit about the marketing posters of the past.

It was such an amazing experience to visit it!To see the full story of the bulb and his birth. On the ground floor you can see how it developed from the first gas bulb till our modern led lights. And you can as well have a conversation with a robot :D . On the first floor instead you can visit some interesting areas where you get in contact with Philips technologies. The price to enter the museum was quite high, but it deserved all the money

It is definitely not the most interesting museum, but if you did not know the history of company and their influence on the Eindhoven and on the whole world industry of technologies, you may be surprised. There are a lot of old devices which Philips has produced, some interactive things, audioguide in english and german. So it is pretty good 1-1,5 hours experience.

In August 2013, my dad and I went to visit this museum on the third day of our trip to the Netherlands. It id a really interesting museum. Its all about Philips, a major Dutch electronics company who are best known for making light bulbs, electric shavers and televisions. It has a great exhibition of Philips products are from the past and some are from the present as well. This is where Philips was founded in 1891 by Gerard Philips and his father Frederik. We are the visitors from Dublin, Ireland

I really love everything about this museum. Small museum of two floors though so informative that you will feel too involved to skip anything. VR glasses experience was good. Also loved all the range of products that Philips developed over time. You could see for example first product they had designed in the past. You can also get a free audio tour where it explains mostly everything. There is a short film as well at one of the sections. You can hear the history and work experience of few ex Philip employees. I was very lucky to also catch a lecture at 2pm about radio invention which was hell interesting. Applauds for organizing this and explaining the technical details of radio and how the radio frequency worked back in those days. They had a cute cafe near the enterance where if you order a coffee then you get a cookie with Philips shield imprinted on it. Which is such a great cool idea! Also, the bulb is used as a flower vase on the cafe tables which is so creative. LED lights looking like a candle were also fun to see. Thanks to the entire team who organises and maintains this museum. I find the whole experience worth my visit and could happily recommend anyone to visit ❤️

In addition to its great exhibitions and collections, I gave 5 stars for this museum because of the service by its staffs. They are super friendly from the start, from the beginning we came and scanned our tickets. They explained us everything about the museum, offered us the torch for the kid to have fun with its hide and seek symbol game. A free glass of lemonade for the kid is also a nice service for them kid. I was wondering why this museum is not on the kids-proof museum list 🧐Also, The exhibitions are really interactive, but I suggest they add more to make it more ‘philips’! Overall really recommended for you who wants to know how philips was invented and used for many activities around the world!

The museum nicely captures the history and the evolution of Philips from Day 1. It also offers a nice timeline of growth of the city of Eindhoven. There are also some interactive booths on IoT and human anatomy which are pretty cool. There is also a small section of the original Philips factory preserved that provides a feel of early 19th century. As a ex-Philips employee, it felt great to visit.

A really cool place and interesting for almost anyone, even non-tech geeks. The staff were friendly and there are lockers for your bag and an area for your coat which was a helpful touch. The museum is decent in length and covers a lot of stuff, from lighting to medical devices, and future technology too. I had no idea Phillips was involved with so many different things.I wish there was more video or audio content, but it was more than worth the price of admission and easy to recommend.

It is a really good albeit small museum with interesting information about the history of Philips and its importance to Eindhoven. Perfect for a 1 to 2 hour visit. They have special activities for kids (e.g. Treasure Hunt with blacklightand a couple of interactive showcases (little MRI scanner). Compared to other (sciencemuseums there are not a lot of options for experiments or building things, although the topics of light and health would be good candidates for this. Its a very good overview of the Philips history and a great way to see the pace of innovation over the years.
