Phat Cart in Portland

First time in Portland. Have had many good meals, but his one..... FIRE. had the Larb Poke Bento greet flavors ,right portion,and the texture was perfect. 10 of 10 will demolish again.

Love the food right here. Friendly staff yet reasonable food price. Ordered oven roasted chicken rice with sweet chilli sauce, it was fantastic!

Amazing place to be; you can use the balcony/patio or you can sit inside. I love their monochrome coffee (with activated charcoal). I didnt like the side chip with the burger and the bread of the burger. I might change my review if I get some other plates, as they seem to have a good variety.

There’s like no sauce. I’m paying $10 for a sandwich so I want it sauced well. Also, I recall it being a bit different last time I ordered.

Food was absolutely fantastic and well priced. Bit of a small spot and a wait but totally worth it.

Got the Korean beef bento. Taste was incredibly good but there was more bone than meat. Not exactly worth the $13.

This place is a hidden treasure. Amazing fusion food, fantastic cocktails & desserts, comfy indoor seating and a great patio area on the second floor.

Cute atmosphere. Food is priced just right, and the Asian fusain food is very tasty. They also have a really yummy Orange Chicken. Parking is annoying in the area but definitely worth it. 5/5

Slightly more expensive than I thought it was worth. But what I got was tasty. My fries were super soft not really fried. Sandwich and potsickers were tasty though.

Workers are really nice and work fast. Their chicken dumplings are amazing and im addicted to them.

Delicious! Went here after it was recommended by a staff member at Duck House restaurant two doors down. The other place didnt have portions for a single person so they said to try here and Im glad I did! I got the orange chicken bento and a chocolate chunk cookie to go. I only had a 12 minute drive home, but the chicken traveled surprisingly well! it was hot and crispy by the time I got home and the portion size was perfect for me and at a $10 price point, I couldnt complain. The rice and zucchini were also good, although the rice was not as hot as everything else so I imagine they portioned it too early :(Staff was friendly, food came out quick, and the cookie was a fantastic end to my meal. I think next time I will ask for extra crispy chicken and maybe a spicy option if they have it!

I ordered the crispy chicken bento. At $10, I found the rice portion to be lacking but there was adequate amount of chicken. The meal was tasty but greasy. Instead of the grilled zucchini side, maybe some pickled vegetable would better serve to cut the fatty meal. Service was weird, I’m not local, the cashier just didn’t bother to notify me that my order was ready. A fellow customer informed me lol. Just very aloof…dunno if it’s a pacific nw thing, deducted one star for service.

I had one of their specials Tantanmen soup which is so good. Its broth is perfectly seasoned, comes with lots of noodles, 2 egg halves, and leeks. I asked for some extra greens which was only a dollar extra.Highly recommended if you have not already!!

Ordered the Korean beef bento via DoorDash and the meat in my box was 95% bones and cartilage. All I ate was one scoop of rice with some kimchi and zucchini. I feel like I’ve been scammed.

This is place a hidden gem in Portland and the BEST place to eat in SW PDX near PSU. I wouldnt waste your time with any of the food carts along SW 4th ave, save yourself some time, and grief, get the good stuff and go to Phat Cart (not actually a cart).Such a cute little storefront, with very limited indoor seating, and 1 table outside for nicer days.The staff is always a joy and very friendly. It helps to order ahead by phone.I would recommend getting any of the seasonal specials before anything else, but there is not one subpar thing on the menu. Its all delicious and fairly unique.Better than Duck House, IMO but not really comparable since the menus are so different.If youre in a rush and need your food ASAP, plan ahead, it can sometimes get busy so food-to-counter time can be 15-45 minutes.

This place is nice and cute with good service. The Ramen was delicious and spicy. Their Karage poppers and teriyaki dumplings are also very good. I had their lychee cocktail which was pretty good as well. However, their Gyudon was underwhelming; it was just some beef on top of a lot of rice, I didnt think it was worth it.

Larb tuna poke is to die for, korean beef bento is also very good but less protein volume because of the bones. Great little spot with cozy atmosphere and nice outdoor eating space upstairs! Nothing on this menu disappoints - always great food.

Phat Cart has consistently great food and a wonderful atmosphere. One of my faves near PSU.

The kimchi was 10/10, the inside is really cute and they support local artists which was a fun discovery, and they even sell fresh veggies! I got a Korean beef box and it was great, will definitely be coming back.

Excellent food great menu nice location. Portions are a little small for the price and its a small space. If you are uncomfortable indoors order pickup or delivery.

Ive had the pleasure of three meals here and each one was absolutely delicious. The happy hour options are great (Im especially fond of the bento), cocktails are balanced and Ive heard others rave over the dessert offering of the day. Prices are more than fair for the quality and they have outdoor seating, covered upstairs and the patio for when weather is nice.

The chicken is a masterpiece and everything I have tried here is delish. Everything has a quality taste like they know what theyre doing. The Space is cute too and adds to ambiance of a fantastic meal .

This place is amazing! I love the decor and the avocado chicken salad is on point. Great place to get kombucha or beer

Delicious food. My personal favorite is the crispy chicken bento, but Ive never had a miss ordering from this restaurant. The place itself is adorable with plants on the walls with a very comforting vibe.

Not going to lie, I had pretty high expectations given the price, and was pretty thoroughly let down. I ordered the crispy chicken bento but with roasted chicken.It arrived, and I went ahead and gave it a try. The fried zucchini was soft and flavorless. The roasted chicken was soft, flavorless, and felt wet. The white rice was alright, I guess.I ordered this for a date night and because I was tired. I wish I wouldve spent my money on a Yerba mate and found the energy to cook instead, because I feel like it wouldve been a better experience anyway.

I got the Mr Miyagi sandwich because I love the name and needed protein from chicken. It came with fried chips I think I wouldve preferred fries instead because the chips were kind of boring compared to the deliciousness that was the sandwich. Which is why I gave only 4 stars. But I love this place and hope to come back soon! The service was very good and quick and they have a very cool vibe with comfy chairs and house plants and awesome music. They also have a great selection of drinks.

Crispy Chicken is really really good with the light batter and the aioli sauce which will leave your mouth watering and stomach smiling. I absolutely recommend this dish and then the atmosphere and customer service is really exceptional. I will probably go back soon myself.

You charge extra for this dismal Thai Tea because I don’t get ice and don’t even fill up the cup? I can go to a food cart or bubble tea shop and pay $4.00 for more than twice as much is in this cup. When I bring it up to the service member they says it’s because I didn’t get ice. I know less ice means more tea that why I get it with no ice. I still expect the cup to be full when I get it, that’s why you charge extra for no ice. Ridiculous. I’m only keeping you at 3 stars because your food is good, otherwise it would have been 1 star. Won’t come again though.

Very tasty. Had the Mr Miyagi, chicken pot stickers, and a side order of karage. All on point, the Karage was crispy and juicy.

Unfortunately I have never seen the interior of Phat Cart, but Ive ordered from this restaurant for delivery a couple of times. Ive had their fried chicken, which had lime aioli, and it was pretty good. However, I am way more impressed by their gyudon. Its perfectly salty and packed with flavor, much more so than many other places I have ordered similar beef dishes. From what I could tell from their menu, they have a really creative list of dishes to offer, which makes them stand out. Definitely an interesting place.

A cozy cute little cafe located in Downtown Portland. My Hawaiian Bento was a little salty. I think the stewed pork and mayo combination created a little salty taste. Food portion was perfect for me that was not too small or large. My favorite is Lychee Ginger drink that is very refreshing and tasty.

Love the friendly service and the food. My favorite is the Crispy Chicken Bento! I have tried multiple dishes and find them all equality delicious.

I got DoorDash Delivery. Avocado chicken salad 🥑 🍗 🥗 and Thai iced tea. Super easy process. The delivery driver was very friendly and charismatic (Ashlie was her name according to my text alerts). I don’t always even get a smile from delivery drivers 😅 The food has the cute piggy food cart sticker and when I opened it up is smelled delicious 🤤Tastes delicious as well! 5 out of 5, I will be ordering from here again 😊

Excellent presentation and quality and flavor. Strong coffee. Cheap beer. I havent tried the cocktails yet. Very chill pleasant vibe and a balcony. The attention to details in this place is amazing. A lotta people doing take out, however its a great place to spend time.

Love this place!This is my second review after eating here twice a week for a few months now. Its still a very nice little place. But let me tell you about their Orange Chicken Bento. It is the best!I have tried their other foods and its great. But I just cant step away from the orange chicken.There was a few times when the chicken started coming a bit uncooked. Like the flour mixture was not cook well. It was all fixed when I asked for extra crispy chicken. It comes out even better!

Their sandwiches are perfection; the buns make it! Pictured is the Mr. Miyagi with an aioli sauce that’s heavenly. It is accompanied well with a dragon fruit kombucha.

not impressed with the service. 6$ for a tiny portion, and 3$ for a sip of thai tea. at this rate, they are making nearly 1000% profit. would not recommend to anyone unless you just ate a meal already. not sure what the hype is all about. "happy hour" sure didnt make me very happy.

This is a small little place food was really good. A change from the normal breakfast. The people were a little friendly but didnt go out of there way to greet us.

The food was delicious! And the peach beer amazing. A bit pricey for the portions, but flavor & quality was amazing. The vibe of the place is cool, & cozy. Would definitely return.
