Pétrusse Casemates in Grevenmacher
Description
Privilege
Lovely underground maze... however, two months wait for an English tour seems a bit overrated...
Moreshort and interesting travel in the history.
Super endroitSuper guide touristique 🌟🌟🌟
History gem in the city. Guided tour with friendly guide whom was very attention full to our question.
MoreWe went there in June and it wasnt listed as closed. We had already paid for overpriced parking so we stayed in the city. Luxemburg is way overprotective, food is almost twice as expensive as in Germany. So is all the shopping. The culture is not worth the price. I recommend visiting Trier instead !
MoreFascinating experience that basically takes together the entire history of Luxembourg with one building.
MoreBeautiful place! A must visit if you’re in Luxemburg!
Mooi uitzicht vanaf de stad richting Vallee de la Petrusse.
A nice tourist attraction photo spot for people to clip good picture with an awesome background of the old world building structures! It gets crowded with tourists during early and mid-day. A mandatory place to visit and capture your Luxembourg 🇱🇺 travel!
Morestunning
This looks super beautiful from the monument square and along the pedestrian towards the Adolphe bridge.
MoreThe Casemates belong to the UNESCO World Heritage. They originated at a time when the Spanish were modernising mediaeval works and building large bastions, such as that of the Beck, whose platform is occupied by the present Place de la Constitution (Constitution Square).
MoreNice journey into the past of the Luxembourg Fortress from the XVII Century up to WW 2. Lots of Steps to climb. Not suited for disabled people.
MoreLovely to wander around. A bit of everything in the area, food, shops, etc
A must see in Luxembourg
Bring a light (the phone, lantern, etc.As some áreas are poorly lighted. As it is almost a cave and some spiral staircases, appropiate shoes help. Do not miss the views from both sides, specially the views of the Abbey.
MoreMuch less crowded than the other casemates and we accessed this from Grund. Beautiful, open, peaceful, and a view of the city.
MoreExcellent diversion
This place is full of history - VERY cool visit. Make sure you are ok with walking up and down step stairs ...
