Petit Boeuf in Lausanne

Ever since I went to "Le Petit Boeuf", I feel like a thief. Paying around 50 swiss francs for a filet of exteme quality, youll get more than you paid for. The staff is pleasing and the cooks are masters of their craft. Sauce is divine.Never before had I tasted meat prepared so well in Switzerland.

Déçue. Malgré les nombreux retours et commentaires positifs, nos expériences ont été plus que décevantes. Première visite, il y a 6 mois, nous demandons le même dessert que la table dà côté (dessert du jouret à notre grande surprise, nous recevons un plat qui na rien à voir. Nous informons quil y a une erreur et le serveur (peu aimablesoupir et en reprenant notre plat. Quelque minutes plus tard, le serveur nous ramène le fameux dessert du jour mais en portion très réduite (allez comprendre pourquoi). Avec une addition à CHF 150.- pour deux personnes, nous nous attendions à un service de meilleur qualité. Finalement hier soir, nous retournons au petit bœuf à loccasion dun anniversaire. Suite à ma commande (des pâtes à la crème, jambon et moutarde), je constate que des champignons ont été ajoutés. Nous demandons la raison de cet aliment en plus et pas mentionné dans la carte et le serveur nous indique que le cuisinier a trouvé des champignons dans son frigo et a voulu me faire plaisir. Mauvaise idée étant donné que je ne supporte pas les champignons. Ils ont donc eu lamabilité de refaire le plat pour quau final, je retrouve un bout de plastique dans les pâtes. En montrant au serveur la trouvaille, il nous explique que le cuisinier na pas fait attention en ouvrant la moutarde (comme si cela était normal). En plaisantant, un ami indique que ça mériterait un dessert gratuit mais comme cite le serveur : nous ne faisons pas ça ici. En revanche, mettre du plastique et rajouter des aliments dans les plats est quelque chose dusuel faut croire.

Trotz Reservation (Gruppe von 10 Personenmussten wir sehr lange auf die Bedienung und das Essen warten, trotz mehrerer Serviceangestellten. Die Qualität der Speisen war eher durchschnittlich und der gemischter Salat unterschied sich lediglich durch die Zugabe einer Tomate vom grünen Salat. Allgemein machte das Restaurant aber einen guten Eindruck.

If there’s a moment that I want repeated over and over again, it’s this great place.Good beef, high quality. I love it! Beef are wonderful pieces of meat with special taste and you bake by yourself on the table.Best accompanied by homemade double fried chips and many kind of delicious sauces. I love the service and the chef is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality! I highly recommend this place.

Dishes were very good, meat was cooked to perfection, one small minus for sauces - a bit too salty but otherwise food was very correct. Moreover, the portions are not like they used to be, they are smaller and only one serving is offered. Service is a total disaster; very rude and impatient. We would like to come back again for food, but sadly probably we won’t - there re many other places in Lausanne with good food, polite service and more modern interior (this one looks like canteen from 60s, time to renovate guys 🙄).

Didn’t like the meat. It was below average, the waiter was a bit rude. Not worth it. Ordered the entrecote, braserie for 2 and carpacio .

The steak wasn’t great and it was extremely overpriced. One of the waiters was very rude and the menu was very misleading.

Best beef tartar ever (Natasha). The freshness of the meat and the flavor combinations are out of this world. The restaurant itself is very cozy and welcoming. I loved the buzz in there, the liveliness was amazing. Salmon tartar tasted ridiculous. Will definitely come back.

From outside it seems pretty underwhelming... However the food is really good! Served quickly and they are super friendly. I recommend if you like meat!

These guys know what they’re doing when it comes to beef tartare and filet de boeuf! The restaurant was packed with all tables full at 8pm on a Friday. Really great food!

Excellent meat! Cost and relaxed atmosphere. Perfect restaurant to go with good friends and family and enjoy a good meat based meal! Prices are very good for Switzerland and for the meat quality!

Nice atmosphere and environment in a summer time sitting outside should be nice. BBQ beef is nice. Dessert is excellent! Lovely French restaurant. Will come back.

A must place for meat lovers!

I was here on a Saturday night and it was very busy, I had the feeling that one of the ladies from staff rush me a bit with my order.Apart from this the food was excellent.

Such a lovely little place, amazing food and the service is delightful. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and their suggestions are super yummy! Would definitely visit again!

Excellent service. The beef quality (of the dish we orderedwas below expectations, Steak & Fries or tartar that everyone else in the restaurant ordered definitely looked better. I suggest avoid the "Agentina specialty BBQ" but go for the t-bone steak instead.

One of my favorite spots for meat! Their Natacha Tartar is out of this world! And the fries! And the spicy sauce! Going back tonight!

Petit Boeuf is one of the top restaurants in Lausanne. The service is second to none. The dishes (very meat based as the name suggestsare superb. Definitely go for the (flambédtartare Natascha, the brasier bbq-on-your-table is also divine. But the service outstrips any other restaurant by far. On the pricy side but well worth it!

Restaurant really good for the meat. Typical dishes are the charbonade and the Tartare (raw meat with egg and spices),which is extremely good. The place is small so is better to reserve with several days of advance, especially for the weekend nights.

Amazing meat! Maybe the best in town? I prefer to go there in summer so I can eat outside, otherwise you smell like hell afterwards... Service is good, polite and friendly (but sometimes slow).

Amazin meat sauces take the brazade for 2 persons, thats the speciality and well it just deserves that reward

Excellente place for meat, tartar and a bit of a show from the staff. Expect a noisy crowd and grilled meat infused atmosphere.
