All is great for families who decide to stay in this hotelFood is good quality, had lots of choices for fish ,meat and even vegetarian menu.Good choice for kids menu too.Thats all good in main restaurant.In "sardine bar " bad choice for kids food. Literally nothing to eat if you miss the lunch.Kids club good. Fun swimming pool , but a little cold, could do a heat up.Have separate kitchen and even cereal for baby (open 24 hours)VERY IMPORTANTHOTEL HAVE LOTS OF KIDS IN BUT IN SHOWER VERY SLIPPERY FLOOR AND ITS A GLAS EVERYWHERE. After I pointed this, that my baby felt down and badly heat her head, even I hel her , they told me I have to ask for floor mat.Come on if you know that problem fixit or put through floor map in shower straight away.Although we had a good family stay. 👪

Amazing service from the moment you arrive, with staff collecting your cases from your transfer and taking to your room. Plenty of outdoor space to sit around, never struggle to find a sunbed as there is 4 large pools. Staff friendly and always on top of service, hotel is gorgeous and really clean. Lots of greenery, Rooms perfect size. Private walk way / train to beach ideal. Entertainment ok with a variety of stuff but more for kids . only thing i would say is that if you was a fussy eater, not the ideal place as most of the food was Fish. Bar staff are always so friendly, especially diogo and a few others who i didnt catch the name of

Highly recommended! Five star luxury, family friendly and great for allergies and food intolerances. Everything is clean and modern, comfy beds, wonderful facilities, loads of entertainment, different pools, all close together. Lots of shade and plenty of places to hang out, even though we went in school summer holidays, we can always find a quiet spot. The staff though are what make this place, absolutely wonderful. We arrived late due to coach delay and they let us skip check in, dump our bags and get food before the buffet closed (10pm). Waitress Katarina helped me figure out the allergy labels. Which were really clear and she made sure I got fed safely, she made me promise to tell reception when we checked in, very caring. After food they had figured out our bags and they were waiting for us in our room once we checked in. They take allergies very seriously, I am coeliac and told them at check in, the manager (Mikhalacame out and explained I was added to a list and told to give my name and room at each restaurant so they could make sure I was safe, I had loads of gf options and they could tweak other dishes. Staff knowledgeable on gf and cross contamination too.One evening my partner was taken ill and all staff were amazing, they couldnt do enough to help us when he went to hospital. Phoning ambulance, translating everything, booking taxis. The manager Mikhala was so helpful and was there in a shot when my partner collapsed, and kept checking in with us after. Later on they even sent a massive selection of food for me and the children to our room including two big plates labelled gluten free for me. Im not the sort to go back to the same place but I certainly would here I felt incredibly safe and totally understand, looked after and pampered.Just such a wonderful place, full of lovely staff, highly recommended.

We were moved here after sister hotel we were booked with closed for renovation. It proved to be an ideal move. It is such a lovely, clean relaxing place to stay and staff are amazing. Bedrooms are immaculate and comfortable and everywhere is nipping clean. The grounds ate beautiful and well cared for. Just loved it.

Currently at this hotel and I have got to say it is amazing! The cleanliness is very high maids in and out rooms all day changing towels and bedding and are also very friendly the bar staff are very polite and welcoming it also has a great layout so many places to sit down the scenery is also beautiful i would definitely come back to this hotel one of the best I have stayed in by far !!!Only thing I would improve is breakfast of a morning it is average and can be improved and the fries are also very cold during the evening overall a great stay well worth it!

My main issue is with this being branded 5☆. At is a 4☆ at best and that is just because of the facilities and services that it offers not because of the quality.Lovely location, great rooms - though no where in the room to sit down and play games as a family - friendly, helpful staff, clean grounds and clean pools.Now for the not so good.stuff.Not enough sunbeds to go around so you will not to be an early riser to get one. Plenty of space, particularly to the side of the "quiet" pool for more beds.Hotel is built on quite a steep slope, so if you are at the top it is quite a long trek up and down the site.There are no facilities - toilets, bar etc near to the quiet pool. These may seem a strange comment as the main restaurant is right behind the pool, but there is no bar in there and the toilets are shut when the restaurant is shut. If you are on the far side of the pool, you either have to walk all the way around the pool and down the main steps and then around the snack bar (goos 5 minute walkto get to the bar and the toilet, or take the side exit from the pool and walk around the Snack bar a little longer than above. There is a slightly shorter route across uneven ground. Small point but just needs more thought.On all the days we were there, only once did someone come around with a tray of sangria and even then he ran out before he got to the far side.Cant comment on facilities at the bottom pool as we didnt venture down there.Food - plenty of food, but long queues for the specials that were being cooked. Often items were missing as staff would take away bowls to refill them rather than bring one to fill them up. TIP ask for a jug of sangria which will reduce the number of trips to the bar.Food was often tepid when it should be hot and warm when it should be cold.We managed to book into Fuigis the Italian restaurant on 2 occasions. I had the sea food linguine - very disappointing sea food was obviously not fresh from the local market the crab in it was even crab sticks! The 2nd time we went I had Peperoni. Very basic and bland flavour. All in all not impressed.Drinks - all good. Basic brands but plenty of it.Orange juice is not pure - though there is some that may be available.Lots of plastic cups - I understand the need for less glass due to breakages,.but single use plastics is not the answer.Bathroom towels are rough and scratchy.Not enough seating for the "entertainment" at the blue crab bar. Once again no table service.Great kids swimming area, didnt use the spa so cant comment.All of these things are very minor and we still had a great holiday, you just have to approach it with the frame of mind that it is a 3 - 4☆ hotel and no where near a 5☆ hotel

We had a lovely stay here. Its credit to the company that instead of building another giant multistorey block, they built a dozen two storey structures. It gives the place a pleasent campus feel.It was a great place for our little boy, he particularly enjoyed the pools. However, they did get very busy and, despite the notices, there was the inevitable battle for loungers each morning.We enjoyed the entertainment team. They were professional and well rehearsed.Also, I was pleased that the WiFi worked well and was free to use.The staff were friendly and the food was good.

Really dirty hotel. Terrible service as they cater to the masses. Internet on and off. Floors sticky. Struggling to get towels for the room. Airconditioning not working in room and took two days to get fixed.

I am currently at the hotel (it’s amazingand have just had a facial and body massage with Sophia at the magic spa I have to say it was an amazing experience I would literally fly in to Portugal just to have another one 😍 I cannot recommend highly enough. It was literally surreal. Thank you so much Sophia 💕

Just returned after a 14 night stay. The food was a total highlight. I have coeliac disease and everything was well labelled and support was there to ensure my needs were catered for. I was very surprised that staff members were as knowledgeable as they were.My kids had a great time in the pools and enjoyed the varied entertainment and the dedicated childrens areas. Bouncy castle was a daily joy for my son.Beach was a short walk or you can get an amazing train from the hotel to an area further up the coast.Everything was clean and tidy. The only reason not to give it 5 stars is the single use plastic. Rather than having plastic water bottles, the hotel should install water filling stations. Holidaymakers can then use their own bottles or the hotel can provide one to use. This would cut down on a huge amount of waste, much of which wont make it to recycling despite thier best intentions

I have just arrived home from 10 days at the Pastana Blue, and it has been absolutly amazing. Fresh clean rooms, great food, many great pools. The animation team, ie the entertainments team were so so good. A team of very talented people, comprising acrobats, dancers, child wranglers and a live band too! My kids, Jake and Aiya, made a special bond with many members of the team, esp Fabrizio, Artur, Rebekeh, Chris, Porti and Gabi to name a few. I cannot praise the fantatsic attitude the team made for all the kids enough. Some memories were made here that will endure for my entire family for the rest of our lives. If there is a hotel to recommend in Portugal (Algarveso it will be this one. Location is great, Service is on the highest level, very professional at all concerns. It was a pleasure to join this fantastic hotel, from the first to the last second. Kids and we as parents could relax to the fullest. It felt like home, much better under all the helpings hands. Service, quality of food and drinks, entertainment, cleanness was brilliant. Special thanks to the Band of the hotel, amazing you are!!

Overall, I can describe this hotel as 5 stars for kids and 3.5 stars for adults. This hotel is totally family oriented. We stayed at this hotel for 12 days and I can say that we had a great time. The hotel has a soccer field, so my son enjoyed playing soccer all day. Very well maintained new hotel, food was great, people are nice, train goes to the beach. The beach itself is very nice and clean. The magic show was the best. I would definitely recommend adding more sports activities for 8-12 year olds and fun activities for adults.

Great venue with decent pools and little wait for drinks at bars

Arrived just a few days after it opened. Claims 5 star, struggling 4 at present. Could see improvements over the week If food was uniformly like the turf n surf restaurant then maybe 4.5. Many mistakes by reception, including we lost out on one decent meal in said restaurant, and a delay of 30 minute for another. No local info in room. one train every 2 hours to beach, but not to downtown.Adults only pool area but NO adults only dining area. 5 star we expect children to be quiet or invisible. Took 4 days to get a regular supply of OJ for breakfast. Same for food labelling.. in these days of allergies etc, food labelling... Is a must. (We pointed out this Monday lunchtime... Ie you need labels due to allergies, diet choices, religious reason, plus to identify the "mystery meats". That they caught up was good, that these points had, to be pointed out then the very slow response is not 5 star.We saw bullying of 2 staff in public which we reported. 5*? (A senior manager intervened both times )Its not the first hotel the Pestana group has opened.Limited choice of teas for breakfast, coffee was self service from a machine 5*?. Coffee from bars hand made and much better.Decor, landscaping, architecture all lovely, but views poor.. Can see a strip of sea to West from top of site. Staff friendly, animation team enthusiastic... Town of Alvor is unspoiled but hilly away from the docks. We met many guests there, all having lunch there in spite of being on all,inclusive deal. ......For what we paid it was good value, but full price?? Think of it as a relatively upmarket family resort, and you wont be disappointed.Went bak a few months ago (June 2022).Staff were helpful at all times BUT It has sold out to families, 4 of the 5 pools allow kids. No adu;lt only eating areas in any of the restaurants. "Entertainment is Europop/ Best of Blackpool" Most coffee is from a machine- only I found one barrista service in rhe bar by reception . Staff lovely, food better than before . No room service The 5 Stars is self awarded. if you want a quiet dignified 5 star vaction, go elsewhere, it has really slipped donw markket Not just our opinion. Other who were revisiting had the same thoughts. By far not the poorest All inclusive, but very disappointing after our first visit.

Not suited if you want a relaxing holiday as couple Due to so many noisy screaming kids. Me and my partner decided to book this hotel resort for our holiday this summer and it was the best decision we made! Fantastic place to stay! The place itself is stunning, the staff are very friendly and have very good communication with all walks of life. The entertainment was good, great from a childs perspective, but still good for the adults. The walk to the beach isnt far and its definitely worth doing. Lots of different foods and drinks to try as they cater for pretty much everyone. We would like to thank all the staff at the hotel for making this stay very special and we would like to wish the people weve met all the best and we thank them for the laughs! Its been a blast and we will definitely be coming back in the future! Phil & Grace.

Visited as a couple during half term for 10 nights. Wow, this hotel is exceptional. Usually a bit dubious about AI hotels but could not fault Blue Alvor. Food delicious and varied, Surf & Turf a la carte was lovely and had no problems obtaining a reservation during our stay.Check in quick and easy. Room was exceptionally clean and decorated beautifully. Walk in shower was a lovely bonus! Drinks were strong (including cocktailsand the adults only pool was a lovely, tranquil touch when surrounded by young families :Staff work extremely hard to maintain the high standards at this hotel and it definitely shows. Trying to book in for Summer 2023 & the hotel is fully booked so it just goes to show how popular this hotel is. Only downside was the sunbeds are a little on the uncomfortable side but never had any issues getting a sunbed at the adults only pool. A short walk to the beach and shuttle train into Alvor was handy. Would not hesitate to recommend to both families and couples and well definitely return (if we can get in!Well done Pestana, you made our first trip to Portugal not the last x

The staff make this holiday and the cleanliness and vibe of the resort. I would have given it full stars as my only gripe was that all of the sunbeds are covered with towels before 8am! We sat and watched 8 beds that were all together with towels on from 08:00 to 16:00 when the people returned. It was annoying to watch new arrivals with families having to walk away from the poolside as they could not sit down, not due to lack of spare loungers but the fact that many were covered with towels from people who had no intention of using them for hours while they went on excursions, this was contrary to the posters up that state a 2 hour max for towels on sunbeds with no one on them, but this wasnt enforced.Apart from that is was an excellent hotel with the staff from cleaners to managers always ready to help and smile. The food was excellent, not to bad queue times at the bar but i could see it getting busier as we left.Rooms were always cleaned daily and had good sized bathrooms, no complaints!Overall a really great trip for a us (married couple and two kids - 11 and 8), would definantely return.

Stayed here last year for a family holiday it was five star all the way staff , accommodation, food, entertainment absolutely everything was perfect can’t wait to return in 2 weeks for our second stay 🌞

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The food is awful and the hotel is totally understaffed. As a star rating this is no more than a 3 star and dont be kidded its anything else. I am having to eat out not what youd expect for the price paid for this.Theres also not enough beds around the pool. No communication of what if anything goes on in the hotel.One day my room was not made up with explanation.If your booked in this hotel try and change before your as disappointed as me.

I stayed here with my husband and 6 month old baby in late May 2022. Heres a summary of some of the main aspects of the hotel:Accommodation: 4 starsDecent room sizes with modern bathroom. We were able to put baby in a slightly separate area of the room and could draw the curtain so it felt like his own space. Good black out curtain covering sliding doors. The rooms are connected by a main corridor and the door into your room isnt very soundproof so the baby was disturbed at times during naps; for me, this was quite stressful. On the other hand, the venue is really beautifully designed and its lovely being in the different seating areas during the day.Staff: 5 starsAll staff were very helpful and polite! Nothing was too much to ask and they were incredibly accommodating with requests. Most spoke good English!Food: 2.5 starsFor me, food is a really important part of going away and the main restaurant wasnt 5 star. They did change the selection each day but the meat felt very cheap and in the end, I avoided it all together. The vegetarian options were quite limited, aside from salad, pasta and soup, there were maybe a couple of dishes to choose from. The snack bar was, in my opinion, very poor. The options were limited and the day I did try a sandwich, the bread was stale as it had been out for too long. The snack truck served cheap hotdogs and burgers (including veggiebut I ate them daily as they felt like a guilty pleasure! Breakfast was my favourite meal and there was a good selection available! Desserts were also really tasty. Drinks were served generously and overall the quality was great. We werent able to eat in any of their speciality restaurants as our baby was always asleep before they took reservations and we had to dine in to get to use them. The restaurants looked beautiful and Im sure the food wouldve been good there!Facilities: 5 starAll kept clean and beautifully presented. We didnt use the baby room but it had a few toys for a younger baby. A lot of the guests we spoke to with older children were having a great time as there was lots to occupy them!Location: 5 starAs its all inclusive, you may not explore. We did for one day. Within a 20 minute walk you can access 2 beautiful beaches...one larger stretch and one very picturesque cove. Both have toilets and restaurants. We also walked into Alvor, which took about 25 minutes, and there are lots of places to eat and drink.Overall, this hotel was lovely to stay in and generally we had a really good time. The food and noise in the corridor were the biggest let downs, but if youre not travelling with a baby and youre expecting food to be ok rather than 5star then Im sure youll have a good time! Lots a lovely photo opportunities and great facilities.

Superb hotel, the kids had an amazing time. Great activities for them throughout the day, very safe. Staff extremely friendly to us and the kids. Would definitely recommend and will be back. Close to zoo, water park and beautiful town.

Our family holiday was fantastic here, had one week of great hospitality, all staff were excellent with their service and brilliant with our 3 and 5 year old. We enjoyed it that much we were going to book for May next year again but its all fully booked already. Staff went above and beyond when my partner mentioned it was my 30th birthday and we went back to our villa to a chocolate cake and some iced champagne for no extra cost. Pools were clean and there is lots for kids to do. One thing I could fault was the door to our villa, you could lock it from the inside but if our little girl pulled the handle down it automatically unlocked. Hopefully we can return again next year.

What a fantastic hotel to stay in! Never experienced anything like this in my life. Enjoyed the drinks on arrival! Staff were always polite and friendly and made us feel welcome. Most staff were also bilingual speaking at least 3 languages.Upgraded to a premium wrist band for only 35 euros as peach snapps was not included in the all in but the premium cocktails were worth it.The entertainment team were amazing but I felt it ended too soon around 10pm however it was one team that ran the whole hotels entertainment, from kids club, daytime entertainment, yoga, water polo, bingo and evening entertainment.Rooms were clean, grounds spotless you could always see someone doing something from pulling up weeds, picking up empty cups. Our balcony door was broken on arrival, we reported it and maintenance came and fixed it within 20 mins.Food was delicious! If you want to try out the posher restaurants book them as soon as you can. The Surf and turf restaurant was mouth watering my steak was cooked to perfection. Luigis was a little disappointing only due to me hoping they would have calzone on the menu but they didnt. Also a family member had ravioli in a peanut sauce, this did not go well together. Felt like they needed a childs menu as my 3 year old did not need an adult size pizza or nearly a whole chicken and this could have reduced waste.Would definitely go back again. Gutted to be home.

Stayed here in may 2022 for 3 night and payed the extra 10 euros a night to go premium with the drinks, which was a waste of money. Room was perfect and spacious and a small fridge which had complimentary water and juice in it. Food was very nice with alot of variety to choose from and during the day there was a van for burgers and hotdogs.A good variety of cocktails which were strong and very refreshing but they were better presented at the crab bar beside reception.Overall I would stay here again 👍

AMAAAZING!!When we booked, we had mixed feelings as we read the reviews, but what a lovely surprise!!Ever since our arrival, everything was spot on!! The room perfectly clean, the bed... I wanna live here !!! Rooms are gorgeous, pics not making justice!Food cooked to perfection!The staff, well... the best part of the experience... absolutely amazing!!! With special thanks to Mihaela and Surendra, our stayed was much special because of them. We so look forward to meet you all again. We felt like home, but better!Kind regards to all of you !!❤️

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the grounds are fabulous and the staff are so friendly and helpful. This is absolutely one of my favourite places that we have stayed in. Catered very much for families but also great for adults on their own.Things I loved the most with a family.Walkway to the beach. Its about a 10 minute walk, for hotel guests, signposted along the way. Great for an early morning walk (especially with the buggy). You can walk for miles along the beach on a board walk.Kids area with a bouncy castle, ball pit, climbing wall and toddler bikes. You dont need to book it. I stayed with them. Food and snacks available.Baby facilities- Our 18 month old woke during the night the day we arrived. She wanted a bottle and I didnt have milk. I went to reception and they showed me to a kitchen, open 24 hours, for babies, which had a fridge of milk, baby cereal, toast, steriliser, microwave. Life saver. .Food available all day. Loads of differant resturants, a food truck, a snack bar.Kids pool is beautiful. Sun loungers are a lovely material. Not plastic.For older kids there is entertainment in the evening, a soccer pitch, tennis courts, volley ball court, basketball, crazy golf.Beautiful holiday, beautiful hotel, we will be back!

We have just arrived back from a 10 night stay at this hotel, well what can I say, we had an amazing time it is a beautiful place with beautiful people who work there, every single member of team couldnt do enough for you so helpful and always a smile on their face, would like to thanks to Diogo the bar man from sardine bar for keeping my children entertained with the cocktail making it really made their holiday

My family and I had a lovely time at this hotel. There was plenty to do in and around the hotel for families & couples. (Bars& shopping in Alvor, Zoomarine and splash and slideThere was entertainment every night, indoor and outdoor pools, steam room and sauna. Its very clean and kept well in maintenance. Id highly recommend this place. The staff are friendly and helpful. Ill definitely be returning here again.

Sadly only 3 stars this time.This is our second stay after enjoying the first (pre covidso much. We loved it, with two young boys under 10 we find the facilities good and the accommodation and staff to be welcoming and friendly.There are 4 restaurants including the buffet and the food quality and choice is always good.The all inclusive element is perfect for young kids with an abundance of juice, ice cream, food truck (burgers/hotdogsetc on tap.We opted to stay 10 nights this time as we hadn’t gone abroad at all over covid. The first 7 nights where blissful and exactly what we expected for a 5 star all inclusive family resort….that is until Pestana checked in, easy 200/300 people at one time for a local football tournament.First and main point about this is covid guidelines…my 10 yr old son was given into trouble for approaching the buffet for a quick sweet without a mask yet I can only describe the football tournament crowd as a pack….it was pack mentality with no regard to rules, cleanliness (cigarette ends everywhere), or lines….I overheard many guests having to have choice words because they just overran every line. Covid guidelines otherwise seemed to be none existent from Pestana. Hotel management were no where to be seen after being very much present before.They completely overrun the whole complex with the most outrageous, entitled attitude.They were running the halls, chapping doors at 2:30am. The standards also completely dropped, from the room turnover to the food. The service was awful, there was next to no food when we arrived for breakfast…despite the fact they ‘tried’ to segregate them. Plates were piled everywhere, I waited 10 mins for one clean spoon.They completely overran all of the sports facilities with zero staff to say otherwise, there was a booking system in place for things like football but when challenged they refused to vacate the pitches. The staff had to remove all of the bean bags which were dotted around for lounging, lights were kicked down….and let’s not even get started on the state of the kids club.I feel sorry for the staff as they were completely blindsided by it. Everything had been decimated and the staff couldn’t keep up with the replenishment.This in my opinion was a complete blunder by hotel management, this is not the type of facility that should accommodate group bookings of this size, especially in the present climate with covid.Shocking and it will definitely make me think twice about returning or recommending in the future.

Great staff, nice entertainment, everyone works really hard there and very attentive.If I do need to say something constructive Ill say the executive chef team has to work out better the food they do, some products are quite bad to eat in terms of quality ( bacon is leather, eggs are overcooked every daysmall details will give better feeling to the customers, is only my opinion.

Brilliant experience, enjoyed every day of our stay. Food is amazing, great variety of seafood and fish dishes, Portugese and continental cuisine for every taste. Nice local wines. Very helpful multi-lingual staff. Would absolutely recommend to couples with or without children.

5 star my arse.....one day is enough for me already, but lets see if they improve.Ok update after two days....I uprate by one star....the staff are super friendly, the rooms ok. The food and service are ok. The grounds and gardens are quite tasteful. Check-in experience is not good, be prepared for long queues and just for what I do not know.Its a good 3 star, maybe could be 4 star if they improved the meals and standard of food. Think canteen buffet service. For me not worth the price paid for all inclusive.A great place for young families, but not for teenagers.The Algarve has enough of these places now, the environmental impact must be huge. I guess not much benefit for the local area, as very corporate.A few days is enough. Would think day passes are probably better value.

Beautiful place!The service is excellent, I felt very welcome. But what I enjoyed the most was the entertainment! I would go see their shows agin and again and always be amazed!One of the performers, Darí, even teaches kids to do acrobatics! If it had been also for adults I wouldve done it myself %100, it looked like so much fun!Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Oh my God What a delightful experience this place has been!!!So much fun and crazy amazing beaches and weather.The shows where so much fun!And the kids in the group where over the moon with this guy Dari, who entertained and them Acrobatics.Would very much look forward to coming back.

Appalled by this hotel! We booked our trip through easyJet and when we checked in we was asked to pay €200 euro as a deposit which we did. After 3 days on our trip we realized we was being charged for our room each night and flagged this with reception. They apologized and said this was a mistake and they didn’t know we’d paid in advance and the money would be returned to us. When we was checking out we still didn’t have the £800 which had been taken so we flagged this again, the gentlemen at reception apologized again and said now we have checked out this will be returned in 3 working days and provided us with an email if there was any issues. We have emailed today to be told this is not there issue and to speak to our travel agent. It’s not our providers fault but they’ve kindly called to query and they have told them they’ve not charged us and we must have been withdrawing the money at 3am from the on-site ATR everyday. I’m appalled they are calling us liars!! We have spoken with our bank who can confirm the transactions have been manually keyed in! Disgraceful service we would not recommend this hotel and the travel agency are as equally appalled and won’t be recommending either! STAY CLEAR!

Absolutely abysmal hotel. Rubbish litters the walkways and it is generally very dirty. It is extremely understaffed. Buffet food is ok but is not very kid friendly. You have to wait ages to get a hot drink and there is a small selection of cereal. Would never go here again. Also cramped.

Advertised as a 5 star hotel. This hotel is 3 star at best. Whilst the rooms are satisfactory, the food and cocktails are poor. The staff are unhelpful and if you walk down to reception to request something they tell you to come back another day!The hotel seems to use COVID as an excuse when it suits them but have around 20 people queuing at the bar for a drink throughout the day and night rather than offering any kind of table service.We were offered 3 bookings to the a la carte restaurants but after numerous attempts to book we weren’t able to go to any because they said that they didn’t have any tables.Despite being all inclusive we only ate in the hotel once during the week. We would definitely return to the area but definitely not this hotel.

2 amazing weeks in the hotel: staff has been very friendly and professional, great food, rooms were constantly clean. Position is perfect as the hotel has a private way to the beautiful beach. Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻

Brilliant family holiday!! Immaculate resort with very friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Main restaurant served fresh food each day which was always varied. It was also nice to have the option of two Al la carte options for 5 nights of our stay.5 swimming pools in total of which one was specifically for adults and another for children with slides and water amusements.Could not fault the place and all withing walking distance of a perfect sandy beach.Highly recommended!

Just back 6 adults and 2 kids had a great time hotel and pools top class not 5 star as we would know here but very good. Food was as expected there was always something there to eat . Staff excellent . Bridge to the beach great idea nice walk in the morning. Rooms good and towel service changed twice some days. Would not fault hotel, food as expected as I said but sometimes I dont know what people expect when away in another country also no delays and there was 8 of us to seat. Well done to the staff at the Blue they have dealt with the issues that seemed to be there at the start and are now up and running well.

We just returned from a week stay at Pestana Blue Alvor and we had an great time from start to finish. It’s a brand new resort, smartly designed and very well laid out. Plenty of space, sun loungers & relaxing areas. Plenty of pools and to all tastes: from exclusive for adults pool to a nice water playground for kids (with a great kids club!), all besides three very nice pools with nearby bars for convenient service. All staff is very friendly (Max F. at the Mercado restaurant really stands out!providing good and attentive service. The food and drinks offer throughout the resort was very good. The breakfast buffet has a varied offer and was very good, so was the dinner buffets. Light meals by the pool were also nice and the Italian restaurant was a nice experience. The spa and fitness facilities are very well appointed. The entertainment team did a great job. Overall this was an amazing week and would highly recommend staying here! Mais

Great family hotel with incredible facilities for family segment. A plan of activities designed for a week of fun and happiness, an amazing staff all around. Andre being part of the animation team, Maria is very kind at the bar and Mariana so helpful, sorting out a problem we had in the beggining of our stay. The food is great and the restaurants really stylish. I will be back for sure

Holidaying here now and we are having a fantastic time. Beautiful hotel and staff can’t do enough to make our stay superb. All requests met and nothing a problem. A special mention to Andrea (my go to personA real asset to the hotel. Also Daniella in the kids club which by the way I can’t get my kids out of as they love it so much. The animation team are amazing with really artistic and well choreographed shows each night. I would suggest families heading here to request a room in villa 13 as they are located close to the kids pool and kids club! Delighted we still have 10 days left. Will definitely book for Summer 2920 👌🏻

Fabulous grounds, fabulous scenery, gardens well kept and immaculate. Facilities are first class, however meals in main restaurant lacking in quantity, variety and to a certain extent quality. Example the soups on offer, tasteless. The all day snack bar restaurant is much better. That aside you cant fault the friendliness of the staff, they are all most welcoming. Sort out the meals in main restaurant and this place will be top notch.
