Perurrican in San Juan

I was very impressed with the decor and large gold doors in the main entrance. You may use Valet or try to find parking close by. Uber and taxis may take you like 5 to 15 minutes from most hotels in the area. Perurican made me feel like I was entering another world back to the Indigenous days walking in. I honestly have to say this is one of the best ceviche and local fusions in the heart of Santurce Puerto Rico! Grace was our waitress and was very pleasant making sure we understood the menu and recommended some great drinks and food to start. I always ask for extra lime to add to my ceviche and seafood and didnt need it here because there dishes are delicious & taste spectacular. I went with the traditional pisco sour (ask for CoCo at the bar), beef skewers to start, ceviche a lo macho with leche de tigre. These were the freshest drinks and food I have tried in a long time! This is a must visit if youre staying in San Juan or visiting Puerto Rico.!! You will not be disappointed!! The dulce de leche / merengue style dessert was to die for!! Ohhh and I came back to try the seafood paella on a Friday for lunch and was fully satisfied and blown away by it!! Dont Miss out on this wonderful Peruvian and Puerto Rican experience !!

Great place and great food!

The food is delicious, the only bad thing is that the menu is very limited for vegans. manager offered 2 choices (vegan chaufa and vegan causa - both deliciousbut there is nothing on their menu for vegans.As a suggestion, please add more vegan choices, Ive been to Peru a few times and there are plenty of vegan or vegetarian choices everywhere, like the fresh mushroom ceviche, to mention one.The place is beautiful as well.

Kind of a hidden location, but has parking. Tastefully decorated. Clean facilities. Friendly staff, and knowledgeable manager who gave good recommendations on the drinks. Variety of things to choose from in the menu. The meal was tasty and beautifully garnished. It was a good experience except for the loud music of their private room that it could be hear from were I was, which was very close to the entrance. Also, even though it could be silly, I wanted to take some seashells with me (that were part of the ordered appetizersand the waiter offered to put them on a leftover box but never came back with it.

Food was delicious! Im actually Peruvian so was a little hesitant coming here, but I was just craving peruvian out here in San Juan. Service was amazing as well.

I love Peruvian food, this is a fusion of Peru and PR not a Peruvian authentic cuisine.

I have visited this place twice and the food and service are very good. They offer valet parking and is in upper Santurce area close to San Juan. Specially of the house is Peruvian dishes and son Puertorican style dishes. It has a bar for delicious drinks. If you enjoy this type food I will recommend it to you.

El lugar es muy acogedor pero el servicio es regular

Amazing decorated place with great presentation but lacking in service and execution.Who ever designed the place is brilliant, whoever is running it needs to be replaced. I went with a group of 6 for dinner on a not so busy Friday night. It started by waiting at the entrance for about 10-15 mins waiting for someone to come since we reserved a table. Service is extremely slow even for Caribbean standards. If you are used to American restaurant standards, be prepared to be annoyed. It took over two hours for our food to arrive, even after follow-ups. Even drinks on average took over half hour requiring several follow-up. When drinks did arrive only some would and we would again have to reorder. Food presentation is excellent but taste is so so if you know what good Peruvian food is.

Aunque los meseros fieron amables. Comida fria, carne levemente dura. Porción diferente a cuando estaban ubicados en el hotel. Que pena, el rest es muy bonito!!!!

We had reservations On a tuesday at noon, we called to confirm the day before, that morning we Called to ask what time they oppened the lady said 11am, so we decided to check out of our hotel early so we could go have drinks before reservation, on our way there we called for directions they told us they wouldnt open after 11:30 so we said no problem, we then called again at 11:45 since door was closed, lady told us to get a parking spot that they would open at noon, we came back at 12:08 door was still closed, then we called again the man i talked to said they were not oppening after1pm, all he did was to apologized and that was it, then we went to another local peruvian restaurant where we were treated very promptly and nicely, their inconsistency made them loose us as guest but was the win for another location

Excelente servicio pero no es mi paladar.

En mi última visita a Puerto Rico decidí visitar el Restaurante y la verdad quede muy insatisfecha tanto con la poca variedad de carnes que tuve que preguntar qué pasaba como con la atención. En mi caso soy alérgica al Marisco, me sentí con pocas opciones. Definitivamente creo que cuando estaban en Guaynabo era mucho mejor.

Comida super rica, ceviche y tacu tacu. Servicio bien

If you’re peruvian... you’re going to be very dissapointed for sure. I understand if people from PR and from other countries eat here and find it okay because they dont know the real taste. I ordered a few things to try out. Anticuchos are so plain. It just tastes like steak w salt n pepper. Huancaina sauce is not the best. Def stay away from their ceviche.. its so plain with no flavor. Lastly their chicha has no sugar, I asked the bartender is they add sugar to it and he responded “would you like me to add some” I was dissapointed.

Ayer sábado fue la peor experiencia de mi vida.Cuándo llegué con mi família nos atendió luigie,(el mejor de los meseros.)Luego el dueño lo envió a cubrir una actividad privada que había en el salón dejando el resto del restaurante en manos de tres inexpertos que no tenían la menor idea de lo que estaban haciendo.Para resumir, a la mitad de la cena nos paramos y nos fuimos. y el dueño ni se enteró pues estaba sentado de espaldas al público hablando con su pareja.YO NO VUELVO NUNCA MÁS.
