Taylor greeted us and was an incredible host/bartender. The beers were phenomenal (kudos to the brewersand im really excited to see what happens to the space now that the market has closed. Keep it up persuasion! Youre doing great!

Great place,has a little bit of everything. The deli has great sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. This place is awesome.

Cool spot with great beer cooler for carryout, small grocery area, amazing specialty meat counter/ carneceria, kitchen serving up made to order food, and of course the in house brews served at the bar with patio space!Was able to meet the brewer and management, they were very cool humans. Ill defo be back next time Im near Modesto!

The owner of The Market and Persuasion Brewing, Patrick Chinn, is passionate about beer. He wants their selection to be exceptional. First, he started carrying more than 300 varieties of craft beer in The Market at La Comisaria. Then he partnered with brewmaster James Singleton and took his passion one step further; by brewing and serving his own beer. Their small batch technique allows them to experiment with flavors. The beers on tap range from: IPA, blond, nitrous, hefeweizen, ciders, sours and seltzers. Not all of the beers in cans are available to sample. Also, only three samples are allowed per customer. The beer tasted fresh and delicious. This could be a good date spot with a comfy couch located under the Persuasion sign and if the bathrooms are in working order. Brewing seating off to side of the market. Sandwich deli, carneceria, and market offers food you can purchase and eat at bar. Board games available to play. Variety of 18 different beers on tap at that time. Offering: IPA, blondes, nitrous, hefeweizen, ciders, sours, and a seltzer to name a few. Craft beers also available to purchase at the market. The market also offers an amazing variety of specialty seasonings.

GREAT beers. They also sell fresh meats, some Italian products, wines and deli sandwiches. Right nextdoor to Ohana seafood company. Excellent seafood. You have to visit both businesses. Definitely worth a visit.

The beer selection is great, the service is almost there. I know its undergoing new management so I cant wait to see it take off.

Their beers are great but the location feels a bit awkward. They pile a grocery store, deli, music venue and a taproom all in one place and it feels a little jumbled. Would recommend the meat counter if you want specialty BBQ stuff.

This little 100% grocery brewery is got my vote I never thought of putting a grocery store with a brewery but hey why cant you have a brewery with your grocery store and after hours when the stores closed you can make all kinds of cool food to search your guess and they can pay for them do you have a grocery store at your disposal right there what a great idea I like it I love you store youre doing a great job I know its expensive but will try and help you God bless good luck...

I personally dont really care for beer but my friends brought me here and it was really good plus the food which I do care for was amazing.

Came here for a live music performance. Loved the outdoor covered patio area with seating. Very chill and cozy. Set a nice ambiance.One thing to note is that hot food stops being served at 7 and last call for alcohol was 9 when we went.

Have been going to this place for years. I mean years way before they expanded. Best place for meat I believe. The owner is super nice.

They just started up and its a good start. I can tell you that the IPA and Blonde Ale are delicious. Going to work my way through their menu of fresh brews.

Great beer brewedon the premises and the deli is top notch. Over all awesome place to enjoy a relaxed time with friends. The meat market looks amazing too... We will be coming back. Cheers.

Great atmosphere. Loved their selection of beer on tap. They are located within The Market which has one of the largest international beer selections that Ive seen.

Update!They increased their own brewing capacity, and they are making really tasty beer. Its still a great chill spot with bomb sandwiches too.--OG--Good beer pub & I guess brewery. Unfortunately, they didnt have any of their brew on tap, but they had a great tap list w/ some standouts from most of the "sought after" brewers in the bay area/Sacramento represented. They also have sandwiches, and the tri tip was awesome.

Amazing beer on tap, "Striking Oil" which I believe is their own brew. Have to get food to drink, but their sandwiches are Amazing, so I was not disappointed.

Food is delicious beer variety is great, my only complaint is that the hours for the deli do not apply for business hours. Keep in mind that deli closes 1 hour before the store closes.

The staff is great!! The rotation on the beers amazing!! The market side of the brewery has the best beer selection in town. Also the tritium sandwiches are the absolute best thing youll put in your face!! I can go on. The meat market here has excellent choices for any occasion.

This place has a nice, wide selection of beers, but especially if youre into juicy, thick NEIPAs like me... This is the absolute best place in Central Valley and they have the Untappd ratings to prove it. This place even has its own delicacy store and food stand.

The bar has great beer. Ordering food is a little confusing since there is a sandwich side and hot food side. The hot food side was unorganized and couldnt get food out in a timely manner or correctly. We ordered a grill cheese sandwich and regular fries and a order of garlic fries. They brought a grill cheese with garlic fries. I told her the grill cheese was normal fries and we also had a order of garlic fries she took all food back.

Oddly set in a market/food hall but good beers. Recommend to visit if you are in Modesto.

Awesome place to get a beer and a sandwich. I love sitting out in their patio area. They have some unique groceries and local goods. They also have a good selection of meat cuts, canned and bottled beer. What more can you ask for!

Great place to hang out at! The staff is awesome, the beer is fantastic, and the environment is just right. Oh, and you can also visit the sandwich shop next to the bar and get yourself something to snack on. They also serve bar food which I havent tried but I can only imagine it being as good as everything else there. 👍👍

I had a good experience. I felt that I should of been asked if I wanted to sample some beers. Beer was very good though.

Inside the market, this place is cool. Several quality guest taps. Owner is awesome. You can grab some of the best cans on the way out for a reasonable price, too.

This is their third year anniversary and they did not disappoint. We tried three of their 14 beers on tap and all three were amazing. If you have not been here for the beer you might have been for their supermarket area. Either way you should come down here and support your local community and buying from local small vendors like Patrick over at Persuasion Brewery.

Great little brewery we came across while visiting Modesto, inside a grocery store! Super friendly and they let you sample!

I’ve been wanting to check this place out, because I drive past it all the time. We finally went the other night. There was a good selection of beers on tap, and we got sandwiches from the little counter next to it. Super yummy!

Owner told everyone to leave. Closed early for my party of 10 but let certain customers to stay.. Bad customer service and not friendly at all. Will never return to this place and will discourage anyone from supporting this business.

Best beer pub in Modesto for sure. Very relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Great soups and sandwiches.It is inside a small market with a great meat counter and a beer cooler that is spectacular. Love this place!

Cool local joint to have some California craft beer and some snacks. The attached grocery gives a good vibe, although it was closed when I was there. They only had 1-2 of their own beers on tap but plenty of others from the region. Prices are good and they let you choose form multiple sizes. Being an out of towner, I was pleasantly surprised.
