Sleek waterfront museum features modern & contemporary international artwork & educational programs.
Not ADA Compliant. I have Autism and Miniature Seizures/Epilepsy. Theres a Colorvision exhibit that needs to come with a seizure warning for photosensitive and epileptic individuals. No signage on the front desk OR anywhere near the exhibit indicating that it may cause sensory overload or worse yet, a seizure. I tried looking for any sort of signs that indicate this would be for people who are photosensitive. I went in to ask the worker at the exhibit if this was safe for people who are photosensitive or have epilepsy. The person only spoke a language I didnt understand and they didnt understand what I was saying. I took a quick glimpse through the window to make sure it was something I could do and immediately had a miniature seizure/sensory overload. I could not function for a good 3 hours. My vision was blurry, my nerves were very fried, my body was trembling, and all I could do was look at the floor. I went elsewhere to recover since the entire place became too physically painful. This is a direct violation of the American Disabilities Act. Someone else in a more critical condition could seriously end up in the hospital. The people at the front desk were nice enough when I voiced my concerns even though I was in a very altered state and hopefully this gets fixed soon.To the business: PLEASE put a seizure warning both at the front desk and by the offending exhibit. Thank God this was mild and I didnt need to go to the hospital, but it was certainly inconvenient.
A great place to see some of the up and coming Latin artists and it is a large and beautiful space. However, my experience was that it was relatively empty and lacking in content. Fell very short of my expectations for a city that hosts such an amazing art scene. The Frost Science museum next door is much better. Wish I couldve said better things about PAMM.
New & Permanent exhibitions displayed regularly; Both indoor & outdoors.
The museum is in a great location. You can walk around the area and see government cut. They have a Resturant there which it looked like people enjoyed. The gift store has a nice variety and really nice people. The whole museum takes 20 minutes. Half of it was closed so maybe it’s better other times? The parking was a mess. Most of its dead end parking which makes headaches with traffic. We were covered in mud. Dodging potholes. Rocks in shoes. Car needed a car wash. We were at the museum for 30 minutes total and paid $20 for a muddy mess. Then another $20 to wash the car.
It’s a great small museum. It took us an hour to go through all exhibitions, probably because many areas were closed. Make sure to check what exhibitions are open to have certain expectations. We got there in the morning, so there was no line at all and the museum was pretty empty
$15 for parking garage filled with potholes that will destroy the underside of your car. Not sure why it’s been left unrepaired like this. Park at your own risk.
Nice pieces, good location sitting on the water, excellent place for photos
Good sized museum - lots to see but not so overwhelmingly large. A range of artwork with some interactive ones like a neon light room that you could walk through.
Amazing place, very short, but nice + the area surrounding it is gorgeous
The museum is easy to find and parking was smooth. Its very organized and easy to navigate. Also, the location is so pretty we walked around outside and sat by the water. Definitely one of my favorite museums in the city.
something cool to do literally, the miami heat can be unbearable so some a/c and art
The Marisol Warhol Show was wonderful, so glad we came to see it. It goes chronologically through their careers from the point when they met in 1962. A Must See! Ends Monday September 5th!
Beautiful art museum with plenty to see. The Andy Warhol & Marisol exhibit and the Chromosaturation exhibit were the highlight. Even better, we found out we had free entry with a Bank of America card, first weekend of the month. Once we left, we went to check out the cafe. While we decided not to eat there, we spent some time in the swings. Beautiful Sunday afternoon.
Loved the Marisol and Warhol side by side exhibit.Pérez museum has a nice architecture surrounded by plants and beautiful bay views. Such a nice break on a Friday, not too crowded.
It was a good experience. I am not really into museum stuff however it is one of the thing that you can do in Miami. Adult $16 and student $12 however here is the trick. If you are bank of America card holder you can enter for free first weekends of every month. Just show them your card.
5 star scenery.. 2 star display.Ok I’m going to sound very *art critic* here BUT … in my opinion, the most impressive aspect of this museum was the building’s exterior. My husband and I spent an afternoon strolling through downtown Miami and were excited to experience the Perez display. Parking and entry is a breeze and ticketing is as to be expected. The museum walkthrough is seemingly large with a winding second level to the exhibit. The first portion of contemporary art was vibrant and well-organized in each space. As we progressed however, I wasn’t so much satisfied with the displays.Art appreciation is largely opinion-based, yet i think the majority of museum-goers are more impressed with works requiring a unique creative vision, keen workmanship, or a brand new technique. As an artist myself, i can appreciate art of all kinds….. but truly….. there not much talent to see here. The museum’s exterior, on the other hand, is a sight to see. This is a beautiful location with surrounding view of both downtown Miami and the Miami harbor. If nothing else, come for the view.
Took my son to Miami for a fun Father/Son day trip and he had a blast. He thought the museum was very exciting and pictures/art were amazing. Thank you for the experience!!!
This is a great little art museum. Its the perfect size as it wont overwhelm you. There is a cute cafe and restaurant with lots of awesome outdoor seating. Plus you can walk to the park right next to it.They do have a military discount.
Great exhibitions, friendly staff. Parking lot can use help, same with the hanging planters looks a bit abandoned on the outside.
Pretty great art museum all things considered. Miami’s culture for tourists isn’t always that great imo, but this place really delivers. Feels like they could use the considerable empty wall space they have downstairs to display a few more works for their collection… but well curated otherwise.
Amazing experience and I don’t even like art museums
Wonderful waterfront environment and architecture design, nice and friendly staff and people. Poor and sad experience finding the parking spot, the artworks inside were also ordinary and not touching.
Great museum! I love their exhibits, the museum is much bigger then it looks from outside
Very educational, history and arts. Beautiful.
Found the museum very interesting and beautiful. A lot of the artwork requires you to read the description since the art, at first glance, might seem a little uninspiring at first. Gave it 4 stars because the workers there were very rude. Followed me and my boyfriend around as we looked at the art and told us not to touch the artwork even though we weren’t. The experience could’ve been more inviting because of the employees but overall if you come here for the artwork you will have a good time
Highly recommend saw this on tictok I fell in love with the sea life. A great spot to go to during the day before dinner. Good for photos/ selfies. Affordable budget wise! I went twice ❤️
Veterans enter free, miami based pricing for merchandise in the lobby, exceptional architecture.
Its free admission the first Saturday of every month. Its two floors, elevator access. The have a Andy Warhol excibit which is cool plus much more art. The have an indoor/outdoor cafe with beautiful view of the ocean. You can walk the outside grounds and enjoy the ocean view and take pics of sculptures. Its a good family fun time. You can eat at the cafe or bring your own picnic. One thing I always look for in public places is a clean bathroom and theirs was super clean.Highly Recommend
The building is beautiful on the outside, pretty average on the inside in my opinion. The art/Exhibit that they had are very good, but unless you are slow as a turtle — You shouldn’t be here even longer than maybe 40 minutes.Pretty unacceptable for a building this big. Style over substance strikes Miami again.Since my wife and I don’t have Membership to the museum. General admission is $16 per ticket. A bit much in my view, seeing as you’ll have to pay about $10 dollars minimum for parking.Go once and maybe comeback once a year after that…🤷🏾♂️
Great experience for visitors. Enjoyed both indoor exhibits and outdoor installations. Possibly my favorite modern/contemporary museum on the East Coast.
Great exhibits, a little high priced at $12 considering the science museum with an aquarium right next door is $16.
Went to this museum with my sister for my bday weekend n we loved it. Was very eccentric. A nice place to check out while in the area.
The selection of Latin American Artists is fantastic. Contemporary art and interactive experiences for the family. It is located in a gorgeous setting in downtown Miami. Definitely a great experience for all the family. We celebrated my fathers birthday taking him for a tour of the city in a private van and this place was a joy for everybody.
The museum has a very special permanent collection that is primarily focus on modern art work. The exhibition spaces are very roomy with plenty of space to sit and contemplate the pieces on the walls. The only thing I did not love is that the visit felt short, almost as if there were not that many things to see.
I would like to give it 3.5 stars because although the content (artof the museum was impressive, the size of the building revealed little art. Two floors with art very spread out. There was a section closed off that wont be open until April 15th. Nonetheless you be in and out in 1hr. I expected more. The cost without discounts could be considered not a value. But some of the pieces were very impressive. The location right off the bay, govt. cut, boats (ships), bridge, etc. makes it a worthwhile trip. Building and grounds impressive. Its right next to Frost Museum (dont miss that). The museum has a cafe and bookstore. Parking flat fee $15. Not crowded which I liked the most. Masks and social distancing encouraged.
Outside museumIn terrible shape, hanging plants are dead, Wooden seats seats need to be treated in very bad shape, trash inside the plants, garbage bind-containers paint peeling off.Cement floor needs to be pressure washed and cleaned. Cement pilings have cracks from the ceiling to the floor. Everything needs a good scrub down. Plants in floor planters are almost all dead.Really sad to take visitors to this place somebody has let the ball drop big-time here. Hopefully someone can bring it back to the exclusive place it use to be 😞
I love this museum although I didnt get to go inside as the day I went was a Tuesday, it wasnt open. I got to enjoy the art pieces outside which made me very happy. I got some good photos for Instagram. Great place for photos!
Nice museum of modern and contemporary art. Colorful exhibits looking great for taking pictures and relaxing in general. You can also take a nice walk afterwards in the park 😉
Allied with Power showcases a wide range of practices and thematics, including abstraction, representation, politics, spirituality, and race. Collapsing national borders, the artists in the exhibition ally with power, representing a kaleidoscope of voices that declare their authority. MUST SEE
I brought my 12th grade class to Perez Museum and it was a fabulous, informative and inspiring trip! The students were so engaged In Everything that Lori, our guide, taught us. She helped the students think out of the box, and got all of us to view art in a more open, intellectual and gut moving way! The art is powerful and placed in an environment that enhances the sculptures and paintings and photographs and allows the works to breathe. Very impactful! We are scheduling a return trip! A MUST SEE!
More than 15 galleries. Good balance of artwork of various mediums and styles. Refreshing art quality and curation. The staff here is helpful. The area around the museum is also beautiful. Well worth a stroll or meal at the cafe. Part of Bank of America first weekend of the month.
Better to buy a membership this place is great plus it gives you entrance to all 1000 museums around the United States so it’s worth it it also gives you discounts I’m parking food and gift shop you won’t be disappointed with this amazing museum and the setting in Miami will be a memorable one you can even see the cruise ships leaving Port if you come at the right time what an amazing sight to see
We enjoyed the museum! Nice exhibits. Nice facility. The Verde was good too! On the other hand, we bought some items at the gift shop and that was a suspect interaction. As soon as we picked up an item, the sales attendant came over to us and offered to place our item behind the counter. Its a nice gesture, but that "service" wasnt offered to any of the other customers who had items in their hands. I felt singled out to say the least. The parking was also a weird interaction. The garage was full and the attendants were letting 1 car out 1 car in. We were up next to go in once another car came out but the garage attendant approached us and told us to park somewhere else because the garage was full. We said we would wait until a car came out, and she told us we couldnt wait and that we had to move. Well, by time she finished explaining that, a car pulled out. If she was trying to avoid a line building up (which I get), she should have went a few cars back and told them to go. If we would have moved, then the car behind us would have went in and that would not have been fair... But anyway ... Get there early for parking.
Spent a lovely afternoon visiting the different exhibitions. The gift shop has products for every age. We tried to grab a coffee at Verde but it was closed due to an upcoming event. There is a path to walk along the water. The Frost museum is right beside it, you can do both on the same day!
The location is wonderful. Beautiful grounds outdoors to sit and gaze at the bay and a lovely place to have a snack or eat lunch outside at the museum restaurant. The building is pretty cool, although it looks like many of the upside down trees are not thriving. We were disappointed by the art collection. Art of course is a very individual thing but for us much of what we saw was unremarkable.
This museum is so contemporary. I love it how it is never the same when I come back to visit. Also, the Latin American artists that find a way to enter here are amazing. A must if you come to Miami.
Beautiful museum. Architecture of this building is amazingly beautiful. However, exhibition was little bit disappointing. I cant understand their policy not allowing photography or videography beside using cell phone (nothing to film to be honestI will give a shot again with another exhibition in the future.
The museum is unique and interesting from the outside. The building had many points of visual interest with plants all over. The interior is open and bright. The staff are friendly and helpful. The galleries are well laid out and cohesively curated. The flow is dictated by COVID precautions but adds to the continuity of the experience. The museum presents works by people of differing backgrounds and perspectives. This broadens the appeal and deepens a well rounded visit for guests.Outdoor and indoor spaces are incredible. When you arrive at the museum you see lush plants and plenty of shade. There are spots with water views with plenty of shaded seats. There is a cafe for drinks and or food. The museum store has an impressive selection of quality items. I personally liked the vinyl sold in a partnership between Miami local shop Sweat Records in Little Haiti and PAMM. There is a variety of various artists like Clarence Reid with varying presses - some color. A neat find to help support local and take a PAMM memento home.
As a local, this was my first time experiencing PAMM and I was so pleased!First of all, big ups to those that decided to provide free entry for active military and Veterans! I’m a member but I took my parents who are proud Veterans. The staff was so nice and the exhibits were truly breathtaking. I really enjoyed “Allied with Power: African and African Diaspora Art from the Jorge M. Pérez Collection.” Amazing paintings, photography and sculptures. Thankfully, they had the collection available in the gift shop so I really only took a few pictures to post here. The day was beautiful and we enjoyed the café right after a walk around the building. Truly a wonderful experience!I like the timed entries but just wished my slot didn’t include anyone “doing it for the ‘gram” because it takes away so much of the experience and the art itself. Taking a selfie with a piece representing slaves jumping into the ocean during the slave trade is not something to giggle and throw up a peace sign for social media. Whew, chile They need to be stopped.
Good museum with stunning architecture and greenery. Great for a cultural day in Miami. There is also a good restaurant and cafe located on the property. The museum is integrated with the park which is very nice, one can take a stroll around outside after visiting the exhibitions in the museum.
