People Restaurant & Cocktail bar in Prievidza

A popular cafe in the heart of the capital great for breakfast, where you can also have lunch or a cocktail in the evening. Although the menu is filled with quite specific dishes and is best suited for breakfast or coffee break. The cafe is located in a beautiful historic building on the ground floor with large windows. The interior is modern, but there is clearly not enough space, perhaps due to efforts to make as many seats for guests as they could. The staff is very nice and professional, they take care of and listen to the wishes of guests. Prices are above average and do not match the quality of the dishes, but rather confirm the excellent marketing of this posh place. It can be overcrowded, it is better to book in advance for the weekend.

JUST PERFECT, I cant believe that I could not see this place before. Everything you order is amazing. I strongly suggest humus and black bread. Customer service excellent, staff friendly, lovely, smiling and welcoming. Even they gifted us sandwiches because we had flight in the same day… cant find words to explain extremely satisfied!

Great place for beverages and good quality food. With cocktails someone will suggest you best ones to start and to proceed 🤣 But cocktails here are really great

I ate here on Sunday night. The food as well as the cocktails were excellent, however, the overall service was very underwhelming. The staff could have been more hospitable, attentive and friendly. I was ignored for several minutes when I tried to pay and when finally a waitress came that I never saw before, I didnt even hear a thank you and goodbye from that person. It was already later in the evening and the restaurant wasnt too busy, so theres not really a justification for such an attitude. I am used to the Slavic type of customer service but if you have 4.7 starts on Google Maps you can expect at least above average service.

My number one restaurant in Kiev. Normally Im quite critical, but for this restaurant, I have to say they deserve at least 6 stars. All of the breakfast and food offerings are fantastic (definitely try the mushroom soup, followed by pitas with grilled veal). I know because I went there repeatedly during my stay in Kiev. The waiters are very respectful and kind, fast service, great atmosphere. Absolutely recommended.

We visited the place for our last dinner in Kiev and it was fantastic! Very attentive staff, our waiter Bogdan was friendly and explained us the menu, the food was superb (tried both salmon and veal tar tar, mushroom soup and hoisin burgerand cocktails were great (French 75 mmmm 😋! Highly recommended and will be back :)There was a small mistake made by the staff as they removed one of our plates before we finished it. When we asked it back, it was not possible to bring it back due to establishment’s hygiene rules. They hugely apologies and gave us sandwiches for our flight as a complement from the restaurant. We really appreciated the gesture and an ability to manage a bit of a tricky situation. Well handled :)

I went there while visiting because friend recommended it . Boy was she right . One of the best avocado toasts I ever ate . Friendly service speak perfect English and seats Outdoor so corona safe . Highly recommended

Giving 4 stars only for the reservation and very original design. We’d booked a table as there was of our friend’s birthday , but as we arrived the staff wasn’t very friendly and minded their own business. On addition of the noise from very busy street on the terrace. So unfortunately we left that time, maybe will give them another try in the future.

Simply Wow. This place deserves a 5 star or more! Found this restaurant at the last minute and it was a chance well worth it.Had the humus with shrimp, vegan burger and veal cheeks. Humus was so flavourful, each component of the dish comes through, hands down one of the best humus I ever tasted.Veal was oh so tender complemented with mash, and some greens.Vegan burger, I had to second guess if there was actual meat in it. It was so good that could taste no difference to actual meat!Great food great service.

The place is very nice and they have very original dishes and drinks, however I would say we had to wait too long for getting served even considering there were only 2 customers. The prices are a bit too high.

Came for an early breakfast, the shakshuka and ‘croquet madame’ were absolutely delicious and filling. After we finished our meal because we are first time customers they surprised us with a slice of cake that was to die for. The waitstaff was also very pleasant and attentive.If I could I would give them 10 stars

4 star for food, its decent but small portions and pricey. 1 star for wait staff. Laziest people Ive ever seen. Tried to get their attention for 10min to order a glass of wine. They all just played on their phone and talked to each other. Finally told one passing by my table what wine I wanted. He acknowledged. 10 more minutes go by and see the waiter talking to other employees, going on breaks, etc. Go up to bar and asked for the wine I ordered, got it in 30 seconds. Then bill comes and they charged me for the glass of wine the waiter never brought. Then argued with me about it. Finally another waiter agrees I was right and took it off the bill.

The breakfast was excellent, dishes vary and everything felt super healthy

It like a mix of international meals. I had the best chicken masala, hummus with shrimp and also found that mango salad tasted similar to papaya salad in Thailand.Kids friendly

What a great find, The Life of Wonderful People, I wasn’t sure what wanted to eatthe Waitress came to me and showed me the Menu and explained some of the dishes to me in English... I settled on veal with apple Demi sauce with mushrooms, sweet corn and bacon with bread on the side GREAT CHOICE and hot chili’s (noteextremely hot.... once the meal was served I was in Awe. The combination of flavors was amazing... the veal cut was cooked medium very nice and very tasty.. The coffee was very good too.. I recommend this Restraunt as a must go to if your in Kiev. Bon Appetite!!! enjoy

This isn’t a bad place at all. One would find here interesting food combinations and well rehearsed services routine. However to me it’s not as good as the “Favorite uncle” by the same restaurant group. You should come here and try the food to make up your own mind.

Cramped restaurant, hard to book a place. European cuisine with a signature approach to cooking. In this place is worth trying vegan dishes and cheesecakes.

Steak and eggs, Apple fritters, and double cappuccino - this was my lunch the last 2 days here. Great food and equally great service! If your going on a train they can even package food to go Love this place!

For our first night in Kiev, this was an amazing place. Great decoration with cocktails to die for. We tried the Aztec Negroni, Salerno Negroni and Scotch Milk. All incredible.Food is also great. Not the biggest fan of corriander in ceviche but overall we loved the place.

Deliciously innovative dishes put together in a truly unique way. The very pumpkin eggs Benedict with added grilled chicken is just amazing!Update: Sadly, pumpkin is seasonal and they only use the freshest of ingredients. In the summer, they still have the spicy shrimp hummus which is to die for. Basil lemonade is the perfect blend of freshness and sweetness.Tip: Book in advance as the place fills up quickly on the weekends. Breakfast is my favorite here and they serve it till 1pm.

Simply one of the best restaurants with health super food. My favorite breakfast item is quinoa salad with avocado (add chicken or shrimp). I’ve tried over ten different dishes and they all were amazing. The menu has large number of options for appetizers and main dishes btw. It does requires a reservation in advance, especially for evenings and weekends

Great place definatly if someone has a birthday they have an action (freeto surprise which is very nice. The food can be a hit or mis; some is good some is bad, just be critical. However hot choco has a nice balance of chocolate and not to sweet similir to a 70 to 85% chocolate bar.

Always lovely to visit, always delicious food and drinks, and always friendly stuff.I once had to wait for a friend for 30min. It was getting cold and people wouldn’t sit on a terrace anymore, so that’s where I was waiting. The stuff brought me lovely fruit tea as a compliment from the venue for freezing there although they knew I wasn’t sure we’d stay there when the friend would arrive so I wasn’t ordering anything. Love you guys.P.S. It’s better to book a table before coming, this place is always crowded

An amazing place with food by renowned chef Vova Tashaev. Everything is top notch: service, atmosphere, place. The food itself, is not just "top notch" - it is culinary taken to a form of art. Must visit when going to Kiev and actually one of the reasons we came to Kiev in a first place.

Wonderful food, - it is noy very expressive lookwise, but really delitious and creative. Taste combinations are to perfection. Trendy contemporaty interior makes it a nice place to spend a weekend night with friends or simply and evening. For my taste, in order to be perfect, it lacks some heart, sincerity. But overall, it still is a beautiful variant.

Wonderful experience in that "experimental restaurant" with awesome food, very professional and smily staff. As an owner of shops in France, i have a lot of respect for the manager and staff of the restaurant as i know that kind of service is hard to pull. Bravo :)

Nice place for a breakfast. Take the cheese pancakes, cappuccino or salmon. Great upscale crowd. Book the table in advance for the dinner.
