A menu of kebab wraps, plates, & Turkish pizza with standing seating in a college neighborhood.
Great food! I really like the beef plate
Nothing hits the spot like a late night gyro.
Just moved here and Penn Kebab is already my favorite spot. Friendly staff and a good amount of awesome food for the price; cant beat it!
I have had nothing but good food here. The beef wrap is phenomenal, but the chicken is a good option too. The vegetables inside the wraps are always fresh and very flavorful. The price is very reasonable for the amount of food you get, especially if you spring for the fries inside your wrap. 10/10.
Tried chicken wrap and iskander something... not too good and very salty
Great taste, Fantastic prices, fantastic quantity, and amazing service. If your eating out alot and its becoming costly and expensive I would highly recemend this place
Always been a favorite of mine. I recommend getting fries inside your chicken wrap, it is very good!
The lamb kebab bowl was delicious!! Friendly staff.
For a first time experience, I was not surprised by how amazing the food was. I could tell from the get go that it was already great just by the smell of the food. Plus it doesnt hurt that food is halal. Pretty good beef wrap and fries. Would definitely get this again.
My comfort food at State College!
I eat here close to twice a week and it is worth every penny!
Memmet and Sayyid (I hope I’m spelling both correctlyare great people who make great food. Would leave pictures, but my friends and I finished the food before I decided to write this… Definitely recommend :)
Food is always fresh. Doner(GYROis the best. Highly recommended
DELICIOUS beef & falafel wraps, also amazing baklava! Quick service! We will be back.
Went there first time today, great food and good quality definitely will be back again!
I highly recommend Penn Kebab (418 E. College Ave, State Collegefor its absolutely scrumptious beef wraps. They are a perfect combination of toothsome, crisp & crunchy, chewy, seasoned, beefy, cool and warm deliciousness. The falafel wraps are AWESOME too! And did I mention - Theyre both gigantic! If you havent tried this place, PLEASE DO SO!
The owner is very nice. He always offers us tea whenever we visit. I highly recommend beef döner!
Their wraps are tasty! Beef gyro is my favorite, you definitely get more than what you pay for.
Normally, I would just talk about how the food here is fantastic (I usually get chicken with bulgur rice), but I found my umbrella in there today after losing it about two months. Sait (the ownerhad been saving my umbrella in the window sill for all this time. Hes an upstanding and honest guy, and he deserves your business!
The food is amazing!I had the beef wrap with fries added into it. The portion was huge (see the picture for reference 😂). Definitely 5/5.
The food is absolutely delicious, the service is really good, they are super nice in there. The portions are huge and a steal for the price. Also, their fries are FRESH, yeah, FRESH!!! I love it very much.
Food was fantastic! My sister and I got beef and chicken to try both. Beef wrap was superior, but chicken was still pretty tasty. Wraps were huge! So much flavor too! Baklava was to die for. Server was fantastic and friendly. Highly recommend!
The food was absolutely delicious and was very authentic. The man who served us was very nice and charged with us for a little bit. This is a good place to go when your very hungry and can fit a whole lot of food in your stomach. When you go definitely get the aryan drink, it was one of the best Ive ever had.
Best food in all of downtown. It seems reviews complaining about not adhering to the posted hours and unfriendly employees (always friendly in my experienceare pulling the rating down. This is a terrible injustice. With food this good, even if the owner dealt me a swift kick to the groin, I would still give 5 stars.
In 2012 I took a girl to Penn Kabab and said I bet you cant eat two gyros with everything on them. She said I bet I can and she did. That girl has since become my wife and the mother of my children. Thanks Penn Kabob. Also, we havent had a better gyro since.
A hidden gem of state college. The food is unique to this area. It’s fantastic. The portions are generous and the price is tuned perfectly to a college audience. It is everything that a college town eatery should be. If I could give it more stars, I would.
Food was great, the guys were fun, I highly recommend this place!
I really wish I had the opportunity to review this place. Although it said it was open until 8pm, I arrived around 6:45pm and it was already closed. It was one of the better rated places in town, but they do not hold true to their posted hours.I recommend calling ahead of time to ensure they are actually open during their posted hours.
I stopped in recently for some quick food and Overweight guy with accent Was Very Rude ! The food was worse than Hospital Food! I got an upset Stomach within 15 minutes! I would save your Money and Go eat at a Truckstop!
Very much liked the beef wrap. I have tried the box or the platter. They are also good. But to me, beef wrap is the best. Chicken one is also good. The food is too filling and heavy. You will be satisfied.
Awesome food and huge portions! This is honestly some of the best food Ive been able to find in State College, and the service was fantastic. Would go back in a heartbeat.
My familys favorite place for middle eastern (Turkishfood. Love their yufka wraps, falafel and bulgur rice. The in-store turkish tea is real treat too!
On a road trip and drove 20 miles out of our way here. The food was not close what I was expecting at all, it was edible but very thing else was off. The falafel were looked like pre made disks and "yellow" rice had weird texture, chicken tasted italianish with marinara sauce.. I give it a extra star because owner had good attitude and its in college campus.
Been going here since they opened in 2012 and the quality and service from the owner Sait has remained excellent. Great value for such a great tasting and authentic product.
I love the bulgur rice with falafel in here. Just a heads up on the baklava that its not very fresh as its frozen and they get it from turkey. However it still tastes good and is pretty good by the standards of state college.
The best Turkish restaurant in state college. The food is very delicious and the service is amazing. Would recommend to everyone.
Food is OK but I simply cannot be bothered to deal with the guy who works there. I once made the mistake of asking for falafel when it was out of stock. Instead of politely explaining the situation like any normal person would do, I was yelled at until I left the restaurant. I guess they dont want my money.
Great price, huge portions, awesome owner/operater.The "guy with the moustache" was more than friendly to both my wife and I. Even though we commute we will definitely make time to come by more often.Great sober or "less than sober"
I went there with a friend for the first time with lots of excitement to try Mediterranean kabab and pide, but the person with mustache behaved so rude and the way he responded like he is scolding or about to attack you. We both were very surprised and couldnot enjoy the food. We will never return to this place anymore and will not recommend anyone. Very worse customer service.
Yo, Penn Kebab is awesome. Need to expand the delivery area to the 16803-ers. Otherwise, I am a big fan of this place. During my time as a student, I would walk by and admire the smells and visual of a rotating column of meat. Finally, stopped in and was greeted with friendly service (and have always been during my occasional stops here). The wraps are nicely prepared with fresh made wraps, salad (lettuce, tomato, onion), yogurt sauce, and then of course your choice of chicken or beef/lamb. Cant go wrong with either.
Arrived late in State College. Few options for late-night dining. This place was open and buzzing with activity. Ordered a vegetarian falafel sandwich. The (thinpita was made on the spot in front of my eyes! Fresh, delicious healthy food. Also, the mini-fridge had the usual drinks + some Turkish fruit-flavored soda -- nice to try something new and interesting. Thin pita breads are hard to find (and I live in a big city with plenty of mediterranean food options). This place not only has them, but cooks them in front of your eyes. A+!
Absolutely amazing Turkish cuisine. Friendly service and authentic quality. All the ingredients are top quality and fresh! You will never leave without a smile on your face after taking a bite. Penn Kebab is definitely worth your time and appetite.
Terrible customer service, do not eat here. That one dude with a moustache is the worse person i have ever encountered at any establishment. No professionalism whatsoever, if you have any dignity do not eat here.
Great food made right in front of you! Quick service, very friendly. Loved my beef sandwich, fresh and delicious!
Chicken wraps are the greatest. Fresh flatbread made right in front of you and so much flavor in the chicken. Kebab boxes with fries are also amazing. Never change, Penn Kebab!
Quality food and good service. I always get the falafel platter or wrap. Everything is always fresh tasting and spiced great. Can never go wrong here.
Food is average but horrible customer service. There was one staff person, chef cum cashier who was more interested in watching Arab TV channel. He was not interested to explain the menu.
Fantastic Mediterranean food. I highly recommend the beef/lamb wrap; its just the right amount of seasoning and sauce.Make sure you stick around to watch them make the wrap on the griddle. Dinner and a show!
I LOVE Penn Kebab! Their lamb/beef gyros are tasty and huge for the price. Their marinated chicken in the kebab boxes is simply wonderful. Ive loved everything Ive eaten there. Not really a sit-down kind of place, although there is a small counter inside and there are a few tables outside. If you are coming to State College and love Mediterranean food, stop by!
Try Penn Kebab! The BEST Turkish food around State College! Make sure to try their DONER WRAP an authentic Turkish delicacy made from the freshest of ingredients by professional hands right before your eyes! So the next time you are downtown State College stop by and take a bite of heaven!
