One the of the biggest Pempek franchise in this city. You can find it almost everywhere including on the airport. So if you have to fly, don’t forget to take one before you go. It is a famous oleh-oleh of Jambi. The taste itself is delicious. I think dine-in on this outlet also good option. The price is expensive though, the packet start around 280.000 but the decent one to bring back home is around 350.000 per packet.

If you happen to visit Jambi, eating at Pempek Selamat is mandatory. Being said as the most famous pempek in Jambi, you could find the store branches in almost every corner of the city.Therere lot of options to try, from pempek, tekwan, lenggang, model to various kind of fish crackers. All was cooked perfectly. You could taste the freshness of the fish and the cuko was also good (not too thick with mild spiciness).You could also order some frozen pempek for a gift alongside with other signature gifts from Jambi, such as fish crackers and lempok durian. They gave a lot of package options, from 10 pempek to 200 pempek. But you better asked the price before ordering because they didnt give any pricetag on the menu.I knew they also open a small store in the airport lounge but the price is slightly higher there. So, if you really want to bring some pempek for a gift, buy them in another stores outside the airport.

On the way home we used to stop here for couple hour to enjoy the pempek...we love to eat here because the place is near the air port.
