This 197-m. TV tower offers an observation deck, a restaurant & a dinosaur exhibit.
Nice view
Didnt work, quite close to the city. It can be visited together with zoo, it is on same place.

Majestic locationHighest building in Hungary 🇭🇺Parking nearbyPleasant hiking 🥾 trail
Monumental tower but view is obstructed.
Brilliant view, the restaurant has good food and a nice staff.
Visit this place every year. Great place to see the whole Pecs city. There is a restaurant and above a terrace to see the magnificent view. On a clear day you can easily see over to Croatia and to give you a little secret what they dont tell you: if you go up in the evening and look over towards the city at the furthes point you should be able to see the street lights writing PECS across the town. Amazing.
I love the view and restaurant . We ate sundaes, the price was really affordable and taste delicious. The service was 5star!! Thank for the great experience! I highly recommend it!
Must see views of the town and surrounding countryside. There is restaurant and lift.
Crazy scary experience, but a mesmerizing view over the entire region!
Nice View over the city of Pecs
This was opened in 1973 you have to pay to use the lift. The restaurant supplies good traditional Hungarian food with glass observation lounge. There is an observation platform which is higher giving 360 views.
It’s quite normal environment. For me personally not much to see and not really worth it if all you want to see if the tower. You should also consider going around sunset! However, there are various spots on the way to and back from the tv tower that gives you a closer view of the city like the Nike tower. There are also places around the tv tower you can go hiking or pick nick. There’s a student discount too for students.
Excellent view to the city and to the entire area.
The view is great, but nothing special. It us quite old lookink
The view is awesome, but the place is in a terrible condition.
Dirty, ruins. Tower opens an hour before the restaurant. It was a chilly spring morning. We asked if we can wait in the restauran until they open in 10 mins (as there is no place to hide from the wind). They refused it so we did not consumed anything. Worst spent 1300 HUF per person for 10 minutes.
Staff is super friendly, the food is good, the view is amazing. Worth a visit
Well worth the visit, the view is breathtaking! If travelling here using public transport, make sure to check the possible return times, as we had to walk back down, which took a while, but lovely to see more of the area that way!
The view from the tower is absolutely stunning.
A nice place to visit, when you go up the tower you can eat in the resteraunt there and see all around pecs for miles and miles...
The place like a walk on the clouds, you will feel stress release and comfortable and you can see the whole city.
It was great experience. In tower they have restourante where you van wat and drink. The staff was super friendly and nice. The view from above is great. This is the place you just must visit when you are in Pech.....
Pretty good view but the decaying soviet TV Tower was worth seeing alone. Had a decent ice cream at the top.
Terrible service. It says here that they’re open till 20:00. The guy in the ticket booth said the kitchen closes at 19 but if we go up right away, we can order. We arrive 19:01 and they refuse to serve us food. Only desert and drinks. We came to eat. I had to buy a slice of cheesecake because i was starving. So basically we drove 40 min and paid 3600 for a slice of cheesecake.
Built between 1968 and 1973, there is a restaurant and a lookout at the top of the tower. Great views to the city of Pécs and to the Mecsek mountains.
The view from the top is just breathtaking (when its not cloudyThere is a parking place as well the entry is not free.We just decided to come down on the stairs my legs was shaking in the end 🤣
Likely the tallest Hungarian building.Parking lots are free. The entrance is approximately 4€ (Aug 2021and the viewing platform is open til 9pm on weekends.Theres no panoramic spot below the tower.
This should be a 5 stars place, instead you can cry when you arrive up and see it.Like a forgotten comunist building. To bad as the view is so nice. You can see so far from up there. To bad nobody doesnt take care of it.
What a great view. Much better than expected. Elevator takes 5-6 people up at a time. On the top there is an open air viewing deck and an indoor restaurant. Great program for familys too.
I think its nice and worth the trip. It is little abandon feel like, bit the view is great. Also very windy up so bring some jacket up. The restaurant doesnt seem like a fresh place for eat,bit we didnt try the food because we came late as it was closing.
A run down small tower, with questionable safety standards.
A decapitated mid sized tower with a mediocre observatory deck. Dont accept cards, NOT worth the trip. Better off stopping at other scenic Hill sides.
Its quiet far away from the city but the view is worth everything especially in a sunny autumn day, you can see all the colours of Autumn from above. It costs around 1100ft for the ticket. There is no frequent bus services, since Pécs is not a big city it makes sense. There is bus every 2 hours. This place would take approximately 1 hour to finish. There is also a café/restaurant. In case you dont want to wait for the next bus, you can follow yellow triangles on trees and reach to zoo.
The place is absolutely beautiful and simply amazing. Located at the highest point of the city of Pécs, making going up to the tower will be a lot of fun. You have to pay for 1100 HUF to go up. They have a direct bus here from the Pécs central train station 5 times a day. But you can walk from the tourism area Tettye Hill for adventurous experience. You will also crossing the camping ground and the Zoo near this tower. Recommended to go at daylight because at night there will be not much to do.
Perfect view!! A definitely must see..
Beautiful view! 1.100 HUF per adults. Highly recommended to all who wants to see the city from above and the forests. If the air is clear you can spot Croatia and the lake Balaton, too. The staff in the coffee /restaurant wasnt too nice, had a pokey attitude... The waitress was upset because we asked what beers they have... She sait its on the drink cards shown.
Nice view on Pécs. But the cost for a lift was overpriced - 1100 forints.
Nice landmark, gets lit up and beautiful at night. Got an elevator to take you up inside where youll get a really great view of the forest and the city. The restaurant inside was great with really nice and affordable meals (careful not to eat too much so you can walk to the elevator and get down). Restaurant staff were really friendly too.
Brautiful view from the top. Nice restraunt with vegetarian options!!!
Last outstanding relict of communism/socialism and highest building of Hungary.Way up is a little bit spooky, but give it a chance.Interior is pure 1989, even if it was renewed. Just had a cake, recipe from that time.Waiter friendly, some windows half blind. They are thinking anbout new attractions in this area, but will take time.
Nice place if you want to relax.
This was awesome to see! Especially at night because this tower changes colors! Very nice view!
Absolutely amazing site, visible from anywhere within a 30km radius. The TV tower itself is an enormous socialist building, that offers a great view from the top, as well as a somewhat retro restaurant. There is an entry fee, but the view and to sit and have a coffee or a meal upstairs is totally worth it. Parking is easy and free, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. The tower is lit in various colors in the evening, and it is probably a good idea to try to catch a sunset from here (I did not have the opportunity, but will come back to do so.)
Short drive from Pécs to the tower, the road signs arent the clearest but with Googles help we made it there. Very quiet there in winter so plenty of parking. You have to pay to go up the tower in a tiny creaky lift but there is a good view for 360° around. It was very windy and -4° C and extremely uncomfortable on the open viewing deck. We only stayed for a few minutes then went down one floor to the restaurant where we could warm up and have some hot coffees and other refreshments and still enjoy the view. The windows here arent in the best condition so although there is still a view, its not as clear as from the platform.
I can truly recommend going to the top of this tower. The view from up there is absolutely stunning!
Must see! Not sophisticated dishes. In restaurant time just stop about 30 years ago ;.
You can feel the post-communist quality in the infrastructure starting with the road quality driving up to the tower from the city. From the parking lot to the restaurant and panorama terrace above, it could all be modernized to welcome the new world. It still is a memorable unique experience!
Very good experience the tower was great experience. The restaurant was very good food drink excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. Most staff could speak different languages which was great. Disappointed by the lack of post cards and information leaflets on the tower. I also noted work going on to refurbish the old restaurant and viewing block it will be great experience when it is done. I will return to see it is as good as the old one.
Beautiful view over the city and the food os also delicious in the restaurant.
