It was pretty quiet when we arrived, ordered 2 dishes each for table of 6. Nine of the dishes arrived fairly quickly but we had to ask again and again for the remaining three, with waiters looking confused and asking what we were missing even when we reminded them for the third/fourth time. The final dish only arrived two hours after initially ordering, with no apology. On top on this, my friend specifically requested a vegan menu (separate and only provided upon request for some reasonand then was given a dish cooked with butter... All this at a pretty high price means we probably wont be back.

I really enjoyed the food here a couple of summers ago but the disorganised booking team has almost put me off going back! Firstly, I called and asked to change my booking only to find when I called back to change the number of people that it had never been changed and nothing was booked. I called again and was told ‘the manager will call you back’ (they never did). Then I called back again today and spoke to someone who took all my details and said she could complete the booking, only to change her mind at the end of the call and say it was ‘actually quite busy’ and she would need to call me back. Not wanting to wait for no reason again, I checked online and there were multiple tables available? Waste of time.

I visited as part of a booking with a large group. My friend informed the staff before that one of the party (mewas vegan. Their “feasting menu” included one dish the waiter described as vegan, a tomato salad with cheese on top. I don’t expect any restaurant to have to cater for vegans, it’s up to them. However, to accept a large booking at a set £45 a head, knowing in advance that one of the party is vegan, and then show inflexibility and near unwillingness to work with the ingredients and kitchen talent they have available is unacceptable. The spoonful of chickpeas I was given (and vegetarian sides I was willing to nibble onwas delicious but only came as a result of prolonged efforts explaining to staff long after everyone else had been served.

The food was good, a little bit over priced but raw ingredients are good quality and I know how expensive they are in the UK.The dishes are just a bit simple for high standard restaurant London prices (orasay ; noble rot ; salon etc)2 on 5 dishes that we wanted were on the menu but out of stock at 1pm when it seems like no one was here before us today. Disappointing. The recommendation of 5 dishes is a bit much. We couldnt finish everything. Means that portions are quite generous !The service :Quite hard to get some attention. Seems weird to them to be called or to take completely empty plates out of the table. The beer I was served first was warm. When I asked for a colder one. He brought me another slightly colder (probably from the back of the fridgebut still not cold. And left the first one on the table... A bit weird service. Not bad but.. weird.

Delicious food and service was pretty efficient the night we were there. The server seemed to be on top of things and everything arrived in good time. Some of the best food Ive had in London in a really sweet neighbourhood restaurant.

Terrible service. Slow. Missing items. Raising your hands like to school to get attention to make some sort of order. We had to ask so many times for drinks and ask for reminders for drinks that we ordered. Even after constant reminders drinks arrived wrong.Food and dishes sounded good and tasted decent but execution seemed very rushed as there was only 2 staff members for the floor. The beef sirloin kebab was still raw but having waited so long there was little resistance to ask for it to be redone. We were aware that food comes out when it comes out but waiting 30/40 mins or so in between some bread and babaganoush (which was tastyis not reasonable. We also waited 30 mins previous as they had lost our order ticket and had to redo it. Some People had finished food before another persons food had even arrived. We saw the kitchen had been closed down and still had a meal missing. We asked and was told that they forgot to put that order for the Octopus through. And so another 20 min wait so that one of our party could have their meal which was at 10.45pm!To top it off when the bill came…we were feeling a bit ripped off as they still expected us to pay for the full bill for items that were missing or items that were mistakenly put onto our order. For what they charge you expect at least a decent level of service.Disappointed as we was looking forward to the meal but having seen how badly organised and the service is run, it seems difficult to even attempt going back

Good food but - once again - sleepy service, and an insane price for two 500ml carafes of wine: £24 each! And they were undrinkable.

The food was amazing and the servers were nice enough but the service and organisation was dismal. We arrived at 9pm and weren’t given water glasses until 9:45. We also had to ask the harried looking waiters for cutlery, a single water refill and napkins. The food, which “arrives when it arrives,” didn’t arrive in any sort of cohesive order and, in the case of our friend’s chicken, just didn’t arrive. At 10:30 we were informed in a panic that we had to move inside immediately or the restaurant was at risk of a fine. We refused, as we had been given no warning and the room inside was boiling hot and we preferred to just leave. This cued an unfortunate back and forth about whether we could cancel the still not arrived chicken. The waitstaff seemed distressed, understandably, as they were dealing with a dozen tables that had seemed to similarly lose their patience and were ready to leave.Disappointing, because the food was delicious.

Food was delicious, really great flavors and pairings. Bread lacked olive oil and turned out dry and not great. Average cocktails. The service demonstrated real organizational flaws. We arrived at 9 and were seated on the terrace (inside had an open kitchen and was oppressively hot). When we ordered they warned us that dishes would come out staggered, we were still not expecting to wait up to an hour between the main dishes. We had to ask repeatedly for water glasses, cutlery and napkins. At 10:30 on the dot, having still not received one of the mains, we were abruptly told that we had to move inside immediately as they risked a fine. Given the hot atmosphere inside and the bad service we preferred to leave. The servers while nice enough talked back and tried to oblige us to stay and wait for the last dish.Having worked in service for years, I can understand the stress that bad management can cause. There was not an unreasonable ratio of tables to staff so I think some simple organizational changes could allow the delicious food to remain the memorable part of the night.

This was a really disappointing meal with my friends. Wet seats that made our clothes damp and smell, zero atmosphere, in attentive and slow service and dirty prosecco glasses. The price of this neighbourhood eatery is redeemed only by the lovely food, but with prices as high as they are you do expect it to also be a nice experience. There is a lot Peckham Bazaar should do to fix things - get some nice cocktails, play some music so we dont just listen to cars go by, and make it a meal to remember, not the one Im hoping my friends quickly forget.

The food is 5 stars and every dish is delicious, but they seem to have doubled the size of the restaurant but not the kitchen or hired any more waiting staff - so the service is now poor. Really hope a few recent bad reviews make them realise it. Otherwise some of the best food in London.

Was greeted by a trainee manager who sat us down and took our drinks order . I had a bottle of the ipa , one was enough as it wasnt very tasty and very over priced. The food came and the octopus was really tasty . Greek salad . Skewered kebabs and bread were all good . The food seemed to out all at once which made us feel rushed . All in all it was OK at Peckham Bazaar .

Unbelievable food and setting, such a hidden gem. However after we ordered we were completely forgotten, we ordered 5 dishes and they only brought 3, then brought the wrong main and never brought the other two mains which we really wanted. When we told her she’d forgotten the last two we’d been there for 2 hours and were so tired we didn’t want it but instead of letting us decide they rushed it out and so we had to pay for it. No apology and we had to ask for the missing meal to be removed. They didn’t clear our empty glasses or offer us new drinks. Such a shame considering how unreal the food was !

Amazing food! What more to say? We ordered 5 dishes as we had been told they are quite small and the idea is to share. The plates weren’t that small at all and 5 actually seemed too many, even though we turned up starving. The freshest food, cooked to the best standard, definitely could outdo many upmarket restaurants on the menu. Very creative and will definitely be back. Keep up the good work :)

A gem. Charcoal grilled everything with some exciting Greek and Croatian wines. Service with charm. Delight on a plate. Neighbourhoody if thats a word, rooted in its place and time but never overstretched. Ticking boxes you didnt know existed to the point you wonder why not everywhere has a local beauty like this. Enjoy.

Delicious food however the portions were over half the original size but at the same price. Also investing in more staff would greatly improve the service. Has the management changed? As this was a great restaurant before.

was happy to finally try this place on a tuesday night. we made reservations which is definitely the way to go as it was absolutely packed! food was wonderful (the octopus was the most memorable for me). service seemed a little overwhelmed as it took a while to get our bill, but that’s understandable during these times so i can’t fault the restaurant for something like that! we will be back!

Rammed, so clearly popular. We sat outside and it was a clear night, so pretty cold if thats where youre seated - but spring is on the way, so hey. Food? Not spectacular, but well presented and tasty enough. A little soft (hummus, tzatsziki and other "pastes" take centre stage with flatbreadsand maybe not enough meats & bite, although the lamb was very good, if pricey. It feels a bit damped down from the Peckham Bazaar of old, which is a shame.

Such a lovely evening spent here. Wasn’t sure what to expect as the location feels a bit out the way, but as soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and seated in a lovely, warm, low lit room and served immediately. Food was incredible - best Greek salad I have ever eaten (trust me), and fried red mullets were so tasty, only wish I had a bigger stomach to eat more. Staff were also super accommodating to my boyfriends nut allergy. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant - can’t wait to come again.

Whilst the food was pretty good this was very much let down by value for money and the service.Service was very slow and we had to wait for one of the most expensive dishes about 15 minutes after we had finishes all our other meals. This came out cold.Service also was a bit odd and pretty uncharming (especially considering the addition of a charge to what already were expensive dishes). The room was cold. Theyve also added a very ugly roof to the patio.

We had a meal for 4 sitting at one of the outside tables, it was freezing, so exposed! The outdoor heaters are woefully inadequate and PB needs to invest in some high quality gas heaters, if they want to open this part in the winter months. The menu whilst varied and interesting, is way overpriced for the volume of food that you get served. Small meat portions and accompanying food for a price tag of £18.50 (sirloin kebabs ), makes it pricey ! Taste wise - average ! My companions were Greek and it was really embarrassing to see a £10 Greek salad coming out in a cereal bowl, we actually thought that this was a single portion and 3 more would be forthcoming, alas no, that was it ! !The desserts are also way overpriced probably about 50% inflated. Disappointing and I would recommend going to lots of other Peckham restaurants that offer great food and value for money rather to Peckham Bazaar! An over all price of £125 with no wine is not good value !

I dont normally write reviews, but we had such a lovely evening I thought Id pop one in! The food was delicious, I cant remember when I last ate so well! The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was low key but warm, which was perfect for an evening out with the family. In particular since we barely drink and didnt have space for dessert, the value was fantastic — at £20/head we left stuffed! A must try.

Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in London. Every dish is unique, flavorful and interesting in its own right. The date molasses ice cream and chocolate tart is probably the best dessert dish Ive ever had too. Overall 10/10 every time and cant wait to come back again soon

Lovely place. The outdoor seating is so pretty as is the restaurant in general. Staff were nice - the beer we initially got wasnt that cold but they immediately replaced it with a super chilly one.The food is really good - we liked the babaganoush and the chicken best! Really recommend them both. Plates are intended for sharing so they arrived as they were cooked, but we had our first dish really quickly and all in all spent 1.5 hours there eating, drinking and chilling.

The food is very nice, and the staff very friendly but its a bit over priced for what you get and they need to work on their timing; my partner had received and eaten her main course before mine even arrived and that was after waiting ten minutes for mine to arrive before being told "it takes a while". Drop the prices a bit and make sure plates are ready at the same time and it will be great but until then I wont be going back.

Fantastic vegan options. It’s one of the those understated restaurants where everything you put in your mouth makes your eyes roll. There’s a highly skilled chef behind this. Only reservation is that the price was too much at £169 for two, given there’s no expensive West End property rent to pay (although it did include two bottles of wine)

It used to be one of my favourite restaurants in London. It’s still very good, but no longer excellent. Most of the dishes were great, except the fish main (burnt and paired with too strong a sauceand the dessert (the bakhlavas felt a bit old). The main issue is the service. The waiters were a bit confused (we lacked a plate and had to pick one up from the table next door for lack of attention; for a table with three people we got two slices of bread with the baba ganoush), unprepared (could not give advice or describe the wine), and the order in which the dishes were served did not take into account the strength of flavours or the wine pairing. On a positive note, they put a lot of effort in the outdoors ambiance and heating, and the prices are fair.

The food is delicious! Absolutely amazing! It could be a very highly rated and expensive restaurant, but it is just a very cosy, friendly and local restaurant. Yes, you do have to wait a bit more than in other places, but it feels like each single dish is prepared individually, with lots of attention to the flavours, cooking time and presentation. I would definitely recommend, just keep in mind that the average waiting time is higher. If you go with that in mind, you will absolutely love it!

The food is excellent, really delicious. I loved the beef kebab and courgette fritters. The portions were much bigger for sharing plates than I expected. The place is cute and sitting outside in summer was great. It’d be 5* if it didn’t take ages for the food to come out. The wait between dishes was just long enough to turn my hunger into hanger. I gave this feedback to the waitress and the response was “we’re really busy, nothing we can do about it”. Engineering a faster-to-serve menu is entirely within your control. Also, the wine is expensive - £26 for a carafe of mediocre wine. I’ll go back midweek on a Tuesday when it’s hopefully quieter and the service faster. The main host (malewas really lovely and welcoming. A few tweaks and this place will be amazing.

Outstanding plates of food. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. Its been on my to-do list for a while now, but finally I went for lunch. Surprisingly few people dining for a Sat lunchtime, but it is off the beaten track.Service hit and miss, one waiter seemed new and when I was ready to order there was no waiter to be seen for several minutes. But a different experienced waiter looked after me thereafter, with excellent knowledge of the the wines and swapped some ingredients to my taste.I had the cuttlefish and feta salad. Both packed with flavour, cuttlefish beautifully cooked. Recommend 2 dishes per person. Will return.
