Kind and Fast food service, even though we were 6 of us. They brought coloring set to my children. All of plate was warm,nicely done.100%recommend beautiful place.

Pechkata Restaurant is a great place to enjoy Bulgarian BBQ. The sausages, salads and the Black Sea Fishes are delicious. The rest of the plates were ok. The price is good if you consider that you are in front of the sea. If I could I would give the restaurant a 4,3 star rating.

Best meal we had in Varna!! Our realtor recommended this place, and he was spot on. The food came out fast, the service was friendly, and the price was low. This is a local spot with a very chill and relaxing vibe. I’d recommend the fish soup, pork chop, pechkata salad, and some rakia!

Nice place next to the beach. We ordered only starters but they were great. They have some vegetarian options. The service was very friendly.

We had local wine, sea dishes and we enjoyed every second of this place.Staff is polite and gave us recommendations and the place is just beautifully decorated. It was great.I read the other reviews and was hesitant to come, but Im glad I did, because I got to experience traditional cooking.

Amateurs with bad attitudes!The atmosphere was good, and the hostess was initially pleasant and thats why I am giving Pechkata one star. However, the kitchen was an absolute disaster!I ordered their live-wood grilled mackerel with a side of potato salad. When the order arrived, I discovered with disgust that the potatoes had gone bad. Still, I decided to stay positive and give them another chance. I tried explaining the problem to the waitress, but instead of apologising, her instinctive reaction was to try convincing me that there was nothing wrong with the potatoes. In any event, I convinced her to try the order again by replacing the potatoes with some grilled veggies (nothing simpler than that, Id think).After waiting for some 30 min (obviously, theyd put me at the end of the waiting orders), mine had finally arrived. Still, to my surprise, they kept the same fish (which, after such a long wait, was completely coldwith some added veggies. At this point, theyd exhausted the best of my patience, so I asked for the shift manager (who turned out to be the hostess herself). She was seemingly very understanding and placed a new order for me. After waiting for another 30 min, they brought me a "freshly grilled" mackerel, only this one was raw and cold from the inside and quite messy from the outside. They must have thrown a frozen fish on the grill, and the result was thoroughly disgusting. At this point, I gave up as I didnt want to spoil the good mood of my companions. I left the meal untouched, but nobody had the decency to ask me if everything was all right. What made it worse, theyd deliberately avoided eye contact - I was made to feel like a nuisance instead of a customer. The most audacious thing was that they charged the total price of Grilled Mackerel, regardless of the fact that theyd given me completely uneatable food, not even remotely close to the picture on their menu. I went there hungry and left with a sick feeling in my stomach.Nobody from the staff had any initial training for their respective jobs. Still, their biggest disaster was the team in the kitchen - the heart of a restaurant. No pulse there!P.S.: Most positive feedback heres totally inconsistent with reality! Seems like these five-star ratings are coming from fake accounts - either staff or people associated to the staff in some way. Fake ratings are damaging to Googles trustworthiness!

The dishes we had were beyond delicious. The server was great. We enjoyed everything we had. Definitely would recommend this place and will definitely return there next time.

The atmosphere is nothing special! Simple but too simple if I also have to take into account the food. Our salads looked like we were on camping and were in a rush to cut all veggies. No dressing at all plus the “spicy” prawns were burned 😃The desserts and the squid saved the night!!But honestly avoid this place when you come visit Varna. The waiter also was very slow with no enthusiasm to give us recommendations 🙃

Food was very average, the place overcrowded and service people were rushing around cause understaffed. There are way better restaurants in the city.

Food was delicious fair prices

This restaurant used to be so much better last year. The food quality has gone down, maybe because of the prices and unexpected crises. Otherwise the service is good and everyone is welcoming. Two nights in a row we dined there: the first one, I ordered grilled mackerel that was tasty but the bottom was very undercooked and soggy, so I only ate the top. The second one, we ordered salad with cheese, kebabcheta and tarama Hajver - the salad had mediocre vegetables and cheap white cheese, the tarama and kebabcheta were also average. Last year the food definitely was better. I would still visit it again despite that as the atmosphere is nice and , you know, third time’s the charm 😉

One of the best restaurants at the central beach in Varna city. Great food taste! Fresh vegetables and amazing grilled fresh meat! High level of customer service! Very good host lady, professional, polite and smiley! She definitely enjoys her job there! Hush quality customer service! I’ve been there already couple times with friends and I definitely recommend this place for having meal at the beach ! Best waiter is the man with the beard! 💯 🔝

Top service but the quality of the food needs quite large improvement...

Friendly enough staff, great location and decor. The food however let it down, 650g of Mussels barely a cup full when it was served to us along with “350g of Fried Calamari” again about 6 small rings undercooked and cold. Given the price (and the menu weightswe’d expected larger portions, left hungry and had to get a kebab to fill up. Lovely place just need to work on this price to food ratio.

Marvelous grill. Minced balls. Good tarama. Home made bread. Amaising staff. Open air close to the beach. Very clean. Good service. Mussels very small.

The place has an amazing seaside view and nice decor.Unfortunately, this is ruined by the sub par quality of the food. We were guests of 7 and the food on every single person on the table was a miss in its own unique way. Bad bad quality of fries, lack of any seasoning on the shark, almost raw calamari and to my shock one of the worst bruschetta u could taste. It was just non grilled soggy bread with some mayo based salad on it.This place needs cooks.

Good food, great atmosphere, they also have some tablen on the beach, so you can enjoy your meal while your feet are touching sand. Friendly staff

Can I leave 6 stars instead of 5 ?! Food was straight BUSSIN ! As a Bulgarian born child I can say that this is the quality and the type of food our grandpas and grandmas used to have back in the Soviet era from what Ive heard. The staff was simply amazing, friendly and suggestive. Oh and back on the food topic, Ive had a simple pork steak with fries, my girl had some fish and both were outstanding quality. Well seasoned, well cooked and well presented. At the end our tummies were full but we managed to order a nice home made banitsa with lokum and I nearly had an orgasm on the table from it. Well done guys, well done.

Lovely restaurant on the sea front, had a family feel to the restaurant. We tried a few dishes from the menu and all were made with fresh ingredients, would recommend visiting.

A nice place by the sea. The food was really delicious. Plenty of choices with quality local products. Charcoal fish was a great chocie. Staff were friendly and accommodative. Definitely recommend.

What an amazing restaurant! The food was so so good!! Especially the Buratta and the Tuna salad were bomb! I highly recommend. Amazing atmosphere, service and food!

The place itself is on a good location, right on the beach. Good service, but since its early days now the food become more unimpressive. The look is better than the food istelf.

A lovely place with fantastic sea view and great food.

The service is great, the food is delicious and the interior is amazing. The restaurant is just by the beach of Varna. The only dislike with be the music that was too loud and overall the noisy atmosphere.

So nice and cozy, especially the fact that you can have a table right on the beach, but beware the seagulls!I love the pork ears they have.Advice: order next to some french fries and some more lemon. Plus the super tasty lemonades they have (I love forest fruits lemonade)The menu with the sausage is also very tasty!

Great place, amazimg location, polite staff, good food, doggie friendly. We were there 20 minutes before closing time, yet they were very nice and prepared some food for us with speed and taste. We will definitely visit them again!

The food we ordered was good, a bit pricy in my opinion. However, the service was too slow - we waited 40 min for the second drink, I guess they were understaffed otherwise I dont have any explanation. Will give another chance next time

The food was great, and drafted beer also. But the personal was extremely slow and inattentive, they were nice to us, but despite the almost empty restaurant we had to call the waiter ourselves after long waits. They have delicious homemade lemonade and amazing potatoes

Great location - in the heart of Varna sea garden with open air space and beach beneath your feet.The service was very nice and prompt. We had mussels and bbq - everything was prepared quickly and tasted very well.The interior boosts some charming and consistent elements which I liked a lot as they make the atmosphere cosy and well kept.One can pay with a card. No signs of wheel chair friendliness (toilets and main area). But this is the only minus I can think of.

Was in Varna for couple of days and had lunch and dinner there. All the food that I tasted there was absolutely delicious.As a sea food lover I strongly recommend.Besides the food, the restaurant has a great location, on the beach, and their own old-fashion style.

Nice athmosphere there…but we wanted to have a meal with salad instead of pomm frites and the waitress told us to ORDER an additional salad, if we want to eat salad. A „good“ try 😃. So, replacing the pomm frites was not possible - for a reason that we did‘t have the chance to know. OK. we ordered a standard plate with pomm frites. It was a big surprise to see the size of my plate - it was so small and far below the 450gr. announced in the menu! The taste was ok. but I stayed hungry. We not go again.

Absolutely ridiculous! The staff were friendly as they welcomed us, but afterwards we weren’t even provided with a menu. There were about 3 waiters, who were chatting on their mobiles instead of working. Not to mention that only 4 or 5 of the tables were taken so the restaurant was basically empty. I do not recommend, not worth the time.

Nice food.My personal favourites are the pork years 🤩 and homemade fried potatoes. Not a big fan of their salads tho. Waiting staff is always friendly and helpful.

The food and the service were amazing. Everything was very tasty. Prices are more than decent. Location is right on the beach and the view is to the sea. The atmosphere is rustic/folklore like. Very original and pleasing. The portions were big and were coming with sides. Nothing like other places on the beach line. Will definitely go again.

Brilliant food and service! Everything was so delicious, I haven’t tasted something like this for a long time! It’s extremely busy during the summer season, so be aware you have to book a table in advance! 5 stars from me and next time I’m in Varna, I will be definitely eating here again!

It turned to my favourite restaurant on the coastal street. Fast service, delicious food, nice atmosphere. Tables on the sand!!!

I like this restaurant a lot. I visited last year and came back to it. The food is excellent, the menu options are simple and tasty - like they’re home made. This time we tried the house salad with halloumi cheese - it was very nice, so was the traditional salad. The veggies were really fresh. We ordered the crispy courgettes and the cheese flatbread. I highly recommend the flatbread! Calamari was a bit tough and overcooked. We ordered mackerel as well and it took ages because the waiter forgot about it. When we asked she pretended it was on its way after which we were waiting for another half an hour for it. It was delicious but as you can imagine we weren’t very happy with the service. Also the table and chairs weren’t very stable.

Food is good, place and service are great. Be sure to make a reservation.
