Pecel & Rawon Merapi in Malang

It is very normal Asian food, not really Indonasian food test. The Rendang stew was not consistent well as cooked very quickly, separately & the meat still cubes. But the real good Rendang meat is very tender, juicy, and test of coconut milk as well.We ordered Gado Gado, however, the peanut sauce is not testy well with soybeans sauce.Accordingly I don’t recommend for this restaurant due to test less of Indonasian food.

Tapas were delicious and savory. Portions were a bit small, fair price.

Its nice, but sadly their food is rather toned down a lot. A rendang is spicy and mildly hot. The one from Mata Hari isnt.

Of course food cannot be 100% like in Java but in the time of pandemic with travel restrictions its at least a bit Indonesia atmosphere, feeling and dreaming of holidays there. Waitress was at first too quick too often asking for our order when we still need time to understand the menu, but when we were ready to order, she didnt came back for a long time. But in general they are friendly, easy going, and food was ok

This restaurant was such an amazing surprise. We love Asian food and always eat Indian, Thai and Vietnamese, but we never tried Indonesian. We just LOVED the food. On one side, its a bit similar to other Asian cuisines, but on the other hand its completely different.The ingredients are super fresh and the different flavors of the main dish we took (Nasi Campurblended perfectly and created something incredible.DO NOT skip the Pandan Kokos Creme dessert. It was so good, we took another one (in the picture).The atmosphere was great and the service really good as well. If we lived in Cologne, we would come back again and again and again.

Very nice dinner I had there and interestering to discover something new. Friendly staff, charming place. The rice quantity is a bit light when taking the multiple tapas offer, ending up with wasted good sauce. The beef was a bit dry unfortunatelly. Would deffinitely go again.

Truly five star food, five star ambience, and service. Authentic Indonesian food with spicy sambal! Foods are fresh! So are the drinks. Came all the way to Köln from FRA just for this experience.

They have really good food, vegetarian & vegan friendly, kind and attentive staffs, good music and really cool interior. Im an Indonesian and for me the food was not disappointing at all. The staff was really nice, we werent sure what we wanted to order for tapas and she chose for us. We got rendang, gado-gado (highly recommendedand terong panggang. My German colleagues who were with me, were also satisfied with their orders and the overall experience. One of a few restaurants that I will definitely go back to.

We made a citytrip to Köln and in advance we noticed that this indonesian restaurant had some good reviews.They serve tapas and rice table. We took a starter and 3 tapas with rice and krupuk plus a dessert. This was enough for us.It was very gemütlich cause it was a small place with a limit number of tables. We enjoyed our meal and the friendly service.Highly recommended!

My hobby is trying new cuisines and this restaurant made me love Indonesian food.

While the food is delicious and authentic, the place itself is also unique and the staff is genuinely friendly. Ill definitely come back again! :)

Good simple Indonesian food. Coming from the Netherlands, I was expecting a rijsttafel with more variety. What was served to us was very good though.

Very good food, very genuinely Indonesian, with ample choices. We tried many dishes and found the aubergine and the chicken fantastic. The beef was somewhat overcooked, but still tasty.The staff is very friendly and accommodating.The restaurant is small and very quaint. Highly recommend this place.

Really excellent. I lived in Indonesia as a child and have travelled there often so I am familiar with Indonesian food. The flavours were very good - not a germanic version of Indonesian food but very authentic and varied flavours. Well done

Friendly, enthusiastic and very attentive staff. Service is quick. The food is simply fantastic and authentic with delicious flavours and spices. There is a large variety of food for all tastes and wont disappoint. Atmosphere is cosy and homely but perfectly suited for any occasion e.g. date night, casual dinner, family dinner, friends get together and much more.I will definitely return time and time again. Highly recommended.PS. The panacotta is a MUST try (see picture).

Food was really good but a bit too pricey for the amount of food. We were 4 girls and ordered tapas for 6 people. We weren’t really full but I guess that’s the tapas style. Dessert was really really small for that price. But I really recommend it to people who really want to try Indonesian food. I like the flavors and spices in the dishes :)

A very cozy and family-like restaurant in the heart of the city of Cologne. The taste is beautifully unique, the portions more than adequate for the style (tapasand the prices are very normal. The space is very clean and well lit. The staff is very friendly and eager to assist. Also (last but not leastone of the cleanest and well attended toilets.
