Concrete 5-tiered stupa presented to the city from Osaka in 1968 as a symbol of unity & peace.
One mighty fine and peaceful pagoda. 🤙
I love this place. Always take my friends here when theyre visiting from out of SF. The events here are also great. Parking is easy since theres almost always space in the paid lots. Glad to see things opening up again and attracting more people.
Nice place to shop and walk around
An great open space to relax on the ground, and watch people from all over the world pass by.
Needs a lot of love/care
Came to Japan town for the last night of my SFO trip, overall here is cool,‘crowded, full of food legit restaurants, all you can eat, and everybody’s favorite DAISO!Many tourists were seen chilling by the pagoda and it’s a perfect place to chill for the eveningHighly recommended to visit this place!
The real one is much better than photos.I recommend you to visit and see in person.
This is a really fun place to visit. The Pagoda is very cool and at night it is lit up. There are cherry tries nearby that bloom in the spring and are beautiful. This is all surrounded by Japantown with many shops and restaurants. Very cool location and you could spend a day here with your family. Parking is on the street so you may have to drive a little before you find a spot. I also recommend that you stop by the Kinokuniya book store if you are making the trip. Stop and have some great food before you go!
🌸
Wonderful glimpse of Japanese architecture. Usually very crowded with locals and tourists alike.
Die Pagode ist das optische Highlight des japanischen Viertels.
A lot of Asians with face masks standing in line
Very interesting.
Its what makes Japantown look so good. Its on the patio of the Shopping Mall, very nice to check out and relax after shopping.
Should be a landmark
A contrast to the busy malls to either side this concrete five tier structure gives one a pause from the busy shoppers inside and to take a breath of fresh air.
Nice place
wonderful
This review is for the outdoor space surrounding the peace pagoda.Busy on the weekends, however you can find a spot to sit down and take a break. Most of the seating spots have the shade of the trees so thats a plus for those rare hot days.
Very cool pagoda! Looks even better when the flowers are blooming!
Good place to hangout
At the heart of Japantown, the Peace Pagoda is a great place to relax and get much needed fresh air. Its at the center (pun intendedof the Japan Center. Its a touristy place, yes. But also really peaceful (pun also intended). One really great tip: if you want to get to the Japan Center, I recommend setting the Peace Pagoda as your destination in ridesharing apps. In my experience, so much easier then trying to use the Center itself as a destination.
Its a nice place! Quite a tall tower, you cant miss it when youre out
Such a nice place to visit
Symbolic Landmark!
Really cool.. check it out!
Peaceful neighborhood with a east and west mall on either side of the pagoda with Japanese restaurants and stores selling Japanese products.
Loved this whole place!!!
love this place lots come here to take pictures and it’s so beautiful during the spring I love the blossom trees also a good place to take pics :)
Nice Tower
It’s nice
Nice plaza to visit and relax between shopping.
Japantown is a fun ethnic shopping center with many items of Japanese interest. The Peace Plaza is a pleasant place to people watch and the Peace Pagoda is an interesting architectural work that adds to the area.
nothing much to see or do in Japantown, except for dinning in japanese restaurants and grocery shopping. there is a yearly cherry blossom festival, which is kind of fun. watch out for it in march every year.
Very beautiful structure in the park.
I really enjoy the plaza.
지나가다 우연히 마주친 재팬타운
This pagoda stands on Peace Plaza in the midst of bustling Japan Town Center. Among all its shops and restaurants the sky-reaching pagoda invites to rest and breath. It’s a beautiful thing.
It looks cool but thats about it. Maybe its stunning when trees around it are in full bloom but otherwise nothing missed if not visited. There are benches around where you can rest.
ジャパンセンターのシンボル?の五重の塔。あんまり日本ぽくない外観ですが地元の人には愛されているようです。
Nice
EXCELLENT PLACE TO VISIT
Not too exciting.
Very beautiful in spring.
Very cool building located in the corner of the plaza.
A nicely-built structure, a monument to a cultural identity.
Peace is great
This plaza is used for many events throughout the year. Ive come here for sumo wrestling, soy festival, and other festivals. Other times, its a great place for photos.
Cool
