Peace Garden Lodge in Otavi

Where dust meets dirt…We stayed there in September 2022 and we’re happy that our stay was only one night.The Lodge is located in the bushland near Grotefontaine directly between the highway and the railroad (so expect noises through the night).The main pool was empty, the other half-full of mud and Moskitos. The shower and bathroom were in a poor condition; the linen in the bed dirty. To give you a fair expectation of the accommodations I attached some photos.

Better experience but they have few benches and tables outside.

De lodges lijken op het eerste opzicht prachtig, maar er zijn veel problemen mee. We reisden met een groep van 20 en van alle groepsleden werkte of het water niet of de elektriciteit niet. De helft is vervolgens verplaatst naar andere lodges. Het ‘zwembad’ als je dat zo mag noemen is kapot en zit vol met zwarte drab en de speeltoestellen zijn al jaren niet meer aangeraakt. De service is van sommige personeelsleden prima, maar van anderen echt matig. Het eten wat best lekker (ookal duurde het een eeuwigheid om te krijgen). Ik zou het niet aanraden.

Vielleicht war es einmal ein schöner Ort gewesen... vielleicht und falls ja, vor sehr langer Zeit. Leider scheint es so, als würde die "Lodge" seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr unterhalten.Unprofessioneller und unfreundlicher Empfang, unfreundliches Personal und sehr schmutzige Zimmer. Das Abendessen (falls man dem so sagen kannwar unterirdisch.Wer sich jetzt fragt, wieso wir geblieben sind: Wir kamen aus dem Etosha und hatten über 40 Grad in der Nacht. Wir suchten einfach ein Zimmer mit Klimaanlage und das konnten sie dort (leiderbieten.

Nicht zu empfehlen Toiletten laufen aus, aus heiß und kalt Wasserhahn kommt nur Heißwasser, der Wasserdruck ist quasi nicht vorhanden somit ist duschen unmöglich die Klimaanlage stinkt sehr und das Frühstück ist abgezählt jeder 1x Wurst, 1x Käse und 1x Butter und das wahr es.Der Poolbereich ist neben vielen abgebrochenen Fliesen mit komplett zerstörten Spielgeräten für die kleinsten ausgestattet, das Wasser hat eine nicht brauchbare Qualität.Wir werden diesen Ort nie wieder aufsuchen

Its a great place, only network that is a problem but its not a problem caused by the lodge. Customer service is the best. Try it out

Quiet peaceful place as the name suggests. I would say the best in Grootfontein, relatively speaking.

Il y a peu d’hôtel avec une très bonne connexion wifi en Namibie, celui-ci en fait malheureusement parti. Ceci dit l’endroit est agréable et plaisant. L’accueil y est très sympathique et la cuisine correcte. Bon hôtel pour passer une bonne nuit.

Right next to the road, had sleepless nights because of the noise of the cars. And by my surprise they didnt have almost anything from their menu ,had to drive up to Grootfontein and buy food from the service station 👎👎. I wouldnt recommend

Nice place with great views, a few wild animals to view in a camp next to the lodge. Bar and dining areas are nice with 2 swimming pools

Worst ever service I got from the lady at reception, because I have aired my dissatisfaction. I am regular travelling and have visited A lot of B&B and hotels but have never been disrespected like by the lady ( I have her name and will share when I write about this on social mediaat reception. I will NEVER visit or refer anyone to Peace Garden.

We were camping at Peace Garden Lodge. The facility would need some maintainance and more care. The price was great -very inexpensive.

Peaceful and situated 8km west from Grootfontein town on the Otjiwarongo road. Chalets with free wi-fi and a restaurant. Able parking with swimming pool.
