Paulaner´s im Taschenbergpalais - Bar in Dresden, Germany
A wonderful and relaxing atmosphere able to accommodate to English speaking guests. We had both a lunch and dinner here and both times found service was quick and helpful and the food was an authentic Saxon experience and was of good value. We would highly recommend this to any traveller.
I had the Alpiner Burger, it was disgusting, there was way to much mustard and sour pickles on it. The burger itself was just garbage meat which didnt have a good taste, nor a structure. The amount of fries was very small and the salad which was served with it was not great either.
The young guy who waited on us- incredibly. When he was bringing the mustard he put all his hand in it, he sweared visibly irritated but left us the mustard!!! Then he forgot to bring the silverware.
Great
Great food, nice patio seating, good service.
Good food and place
If you love Paulaner, this place is definintely worth a visit!
Busy place but pleasant service and excellent beer!
I have never been disappointed in a Paulaner. The food is always steamy and fresh. The beer is cold and fresh. What else can anyone ask for in a German restaurant?
A great Bavarian cousine. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Amazing views if sitting on the terrace. And of course, a great Paulaners draft beer! We hoped to have a dinner there, but were closed without any announcements! Spoiled evening...
I supposed a better meal quality. In the mean was good.
The waitets are super Unfriendly!!! Totally unrecommended.“I want you to sit there” do you think saying this to customer is appropriate? The only star is for the location.
Great food with the best of the Paulaner beers.
Best schnitzel I ever had. Portions are very generous make sure to bring your appetite.
Incredible German food, friendly, attentive staff, great atmosphere and reasonable prices!
Great beer in great place! Cheers! 😍
The best restaurant in Dresden!!!! Amazing food , good beer!!!!
Superb food, prosecco wine and desserts. Friendly waitress.
Typical Paulaners, decent food and nice comfortable atmosphere. Had to wait to get a table as it was busy, but didnt have long to wait. Service was very good, the waitress was very attentive and friendly.
Cosy German restaurant and bar with very kind English-speaking staff. Prices are a bit higher than average, but it s in a city centre after all and portions are generous. Food is great. The only tiny complaint i have is that i had to cut my pork knee with my own opinel knife as no steak knives were provided :-)
I’m not a big fan of beer but it was really good. There were very friendly waiters.
Great food - try the pork knuckle! Also the waiter was very patient with my terrible German (they are English friendly - just wanted to try some Deutsch!)
Excellent food and service. Lovely flavours.
Warm place in the middle of Dresden. Feel like a old german bar where u can get lot of types of beers but you can also stop for a quick eat. Recommended place for the Paulaner bier lovers
Friendly staff. Excellent stop while walking in the old city. Good beer.
Terribly bad service. They did not serve food outside at the tables. Food was only served inside. Outside temperature 30 degrees. Waiter totally lacked passion for his job. Not recommended.
I love their beer, but the food disappointed. Very basic and nothing special... not worth the money.
Good draft beer at reasonable price and nice ambience. The service wasnt the most friendly, but it was quick and to the point. Recommended if you are tired from walking around the touristic sites nearby!
Very expensive. Id rather go to drink, not to eat.
Amazing food and staff!!! Really interesting interior and layout!
Beautiful food and a good beer selection. You can get a quick drink at the bar too.
Tasty solid German fair .. service was pretty good .. wine was really good. Dessert was amazing .. would have given 5 stars but they didn’t show us the day specials until the end of the evening .. luckily we did have the moss delicious dessert as a result
Ok needs a bit of life like the one in Berlin. Good beer though
Terrible experience. We were a group of 8, half of their garden was empty and we were rejected and pretty much told to go away because the waiter said he had too many people to serve... Never happened to me before.
Sorry it’s in English... We took some beers and wanted something to eat, better we didn’t...First sign was a cola without gas, then a “Kaseauswahl” with some rotten grapes & dried out cheese. Another meal, cheese salad, had some old tomato chunks with saggy skin. Other meals were quite OK but man, this place is overpriced for the quality offered.Service was OKNot a recommendable place
I was afraid we walked into a tourist trap but this wasn’t the case! The Resche Haxe was good and went well with a glass of Paulaner Dunkel. I recommend sticking to the “classics” / German part of the menu - you’ll leave full and satisfied!
Strongly recomended. Very friendly atmosphere, all waiters are very patient and sociable. Food was tasty and beer exceptionally good. We were late but they accepted our order without any hesitation
Kind service, cozy atmosphere. Such a nice Schweinshaxe, crunch outside, and inside is so tender. I feel so satisfaction.
Good beer, good food. Service was nice and helpful. Would recommend their weissbier
Very friendly, fast service, good traditional food.
Lovely atmosphere with a warm welcome. Waiter spoke English if you need that. Food and beer was very tasty.
Nice atmosphere. Good beer. Delicious food. Friendly service.
Great place to hang out and good atmosphere to chat with some friends.
Dropped in while sight seeing and the place was warm and inviting. Bar staff were friendly and patient with my lack of german. I would recommend the traditional dishes as well as the brew on tap. I plan to visit here next time Im in Dresden.
I have visited this place with my friends twice. Last week and two years ago.First of all, the language. My German is just average, but the staff speaks English and in case you try to speak German, they switch to Hochdeutsch. Which is nice, as the accent in Saxony is quite difficult for me.There is a bar and few tables. The restaurant is not big, therefore there were no issues with waiting for service. There was no noisy radio in background, rather an intimate atmosphere. They offer menu both in German and other one in few languages (Czech, English, if I remember correctly also Russian, and one other language). They have daily menu printed on a paper as well. The prices are average or slightly above average. Ive seen worse.Foods are German, Saxonian, Czech. The food was always OK, cannot really complain. They offer quite big selection of beers, obviously from Paulaner.
great food and beer! amazing german options with a very warm environment.
tipical bavarian restaurant, good food and good beer, always very crowd
Fast and friendly service, the average food, acceptable beer, one from better places in Dresden for dinner
Hearty, tasty food and interesting German beer at fair prices. Generous with their salt, though!
Good food, friendly service, reasonable pricing, charming lication. Nice experience.
