Paul Bunyan Statue - Monument in Bangor, United States
The statue is bigger than I expected!
Fun 5 minute stop for photos with a huge Paul Bunyan!
if u stand in the right spot for a selfie it looks like Paul Bunyan is giving Bangor the middle finger!!l lol
Was passing by Bangor and had to stop for a picture. A little kitschy but worth it.
Fun stop for all ages, with free street parking nearby.
Paul Bunyan was kind of cool.
Good photo so but tight parking
Who doesnt love a giant Paul Bunyan statue? Fun stop. We had lunch at Timbers Restaurant and walked over to get a picture after lunch.
Very tall statue, needs to have babe lol
Great fun place to take a few pictures
went to the place and tried to find a marker but it wasnt there. great statue though!
Ummm well its a statue. How great could it be.
super interesting!! it was much taller and better in person and i personally love how surreal it felt being a stephen king fan!
Cool statue to visit and right near Stephen Kings house
Nice to see if youre in the area because hes holding a baseball bat instead of an ax but its not special
Honestly without Blue the ox, I thought this was just a lumberjack. Still cool though.
Cool if you love Paul! Park across the street behind the gas station.
This place is pretty cool definitely cool to check out if you eveer go through bangore
Have wanted to visit it since it was built. Huge fan of “it” so it was an easy choice to go there
Stopped for a quick visit on our way through town. I only wish they had information about his life posted somewhere publicly. 5 minute stop max.
It was big... One of the only things for a tourist to do in town. A good 2 minute photo op but thats it.
Definitely a must stop when your in Bangor Maine. Cool photo ops.
Fun to stop and take a picture. We parked in the back of a gas station next to the statue.
Pretty cool! Just glad it didnt come to life and try to kill me.
I made it here after a long day’s road trip drive. It was cool and everything I imagined! Major thing was how there wasn’t a parking lot. I wondered what people do during the day when they arrive. I parked nearby and just moved my car after I was done snapping a few pictures.
Its a big statue of Paul Bunyan. What more is there to say?
The statue is fine its big its bright but theres nothing there, theres no description of anything theres nowhere to park near it so you have to walk forever to get to it
Its a huge statue of Paul Bunyan. There isnt a whole lot else to say. Its cool though.
Worth a visit if youre out and about in the area, fun photo opportunity.
Cool to see especially with its link to SK’s IT. Parking is a hassle
Fantastic statue! No close parking so I took pictures from the street. If you are near Bangor, it is worth the drive and if you have the time, casino is across the street!!!
Rated as one of the top roadside attractions so we had to check it out while in Bangor. Worth the photo op
May we never forget out Folk heros we learned about growing up. If youre in the area, stop by and snap some fun pics of this 30 foot statue.
Whats to say? Its a very large statue of Paul Bunyan, great color and readily accessible. We stopped to take a photo.
Huge, need to go when sun is not behind statue washing out pictures. I had to get on the ground behind shrubs.
Great time checking out the statue.
My family made a stop to see the statue on our way to Acadia. It was a fun place to take pictures. And if you are looking for a yummy place to stop and have a bite to eat that’s close by, try the Timber Kitchen and Bar. (It’s across the street from the statue.)
Fun quick stop for a photo, if you’re a Stephen King fan🎥📸. You can walk to Stephen King’s home, which takes about 30 minutes.
Great photo op spot! Its really cool looking and well maintained.
I was told a must-see was the Paul Bunyan Statue in Bangor, Maine.A short trip by car from the charming downtown, we found him.Unfortunately, not easy to find a place to park to take the picture, for it is a busy intersection for one of the main highwaysIn any case, fun to see. .now want to read more about his tall tales.
A nice statue! What else can I say.
Nothing special but it’s cool to see this big statue. You’ll understand when you are looking at this thing face to face lol
Tall dude, armed with a couple of hand tools...Joking aside, Bunyan is an iconic figure in American folklore and a must visit for trips to Bangor. Not much to do besides gaze on the visage, but its worth it to me.
This is an odd statue it just appears and it is so much in the middle of no where. But Paul is so big it gives me the shivers. Very manly too with his flannel shirt and full beard. However, the green jeans make me question things.
This is a quirky statue that you would think you could only find in Maine, however, Paul Bunyan is in other cities as well. The Bangor version is quite high and seemingly randomly located next to a medical building. Why? I am not sure. But it can be fun to try to find him while on Main Street.
The statue was pretty cool to see. Id like to see it during the day. Dont know if theres anything else to do in the area. Definitely worth stopping by if youre in the area.
Ill admit I had to see this statue after seeing It Chapter 2 and it definitely did not disappoint.
This Paul Bunyan statue is right in front of some weird contemporary building. I had to park at the hotel across the street to walk over and enjoy it, which I only sort of did.
Very quick trip to go and see this statue but love good ole American novelty ! If you’re ever in Bangor it’s worth a stop !
This was a neat experience. We are huge King fans and we did our own tour through Bangor. We liked seeing the statue because of its mention. Other than that, its just a statue. Only SK fans understand.
