Great place to spend the afternoon. Food is excellent with daily specials and they have a decent bar too. Grab a bucket of wash and have fun picking out some sapphires.

Bought 3 bags of wash this morning for $40,was very disappointing the dirt was wet and basically sandy soil wouldnt buy bags again.

We had the best cup of coffee and lime cheesecake yesterday, also found some nice Sapphires in the buckets of dirt that we washed, great place

Fantastic experience at Pats Gems! The staff were so friendly and helpful, and showed us the best way to find sapphires! We parked our caravan out the front and bought two buckets. We got quite a few sapphires from just two buckets! The carrot cake and wedges from the cafe are also so delicious. Would highly recommend spending the whole morning here!!!

We had a fabulous time at Pats and went back 3 times. Pat and her staff were so friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Got some lovely little stones too. The food and coffee were an added bonus. Highly recommend calling in to see Pat and do a bit of fossicking.

Delightful and shaded place to actually find sapphires in the buckets of wash from a mine @ $15 each....and we did. Good for coffee, scones, cakes and lunches.

Lovely latte and scones with clotted cream. Watched children fossicking for gems. Well worth the trip. I can recommend it. Free entry, fossicking had a fee. Restaurant served good meals from what other people were eating

This was our first fossicking experiences. Very laid back and casual atmosphere, reasonable prices for paydirt and the staff gave a good demonstration on what to do, as well as periodically popped over to answer any questions. Licences venue with good food as well. Gift shop pricing has some highs and lows, as is common.

Our second visit in as many weeks. Fabulous breakfast, fossicking and gift shop, all set in a peaceful and serene garden. Good music too

Beautifull place, Very helpfull polite staff, helped me i.d a couple local finds, and out of two bags of wash Ive found around 45 sapphires of various color, greens, stars and a couple blues...awesome place for a family stop, kids would Love it, over 30 sapphires in my first bag of wash....second bag is better again with nice lil 5carat pieces in beautifull green and an opaque blue...or blues(more than 1😁).....definitely a place youll go more than once 🙏 Thankyou for your help with Gemstone i.d

Lovely people, knowledgeable, experienced and well run for a little place. Still gets the numbers! Lol. Outdated and very rustic but adds to the "out west" experience. And you definitely have to try their coffee and scones (and yes ...while fossicking 😊yummo!

Spent two afternoons there and found a lot of sapphires. Staff are friendly and will show you how to fossick for gems. Only $15 per bucket of wash and all our buckets contained sapphires. If you are in the area and looking for something to do, I would recommend spending a few hours to try your luck.

Love love loved it!!! What a great experience. My 4 year old lost interest after about 5 minutes 🤣🤣 so I spent a few hours combing through our bucket of wash. Best part was they have a cafe on site so you can have lunch or snacks while you fossick

Great place. Good instructions and layout. James and Amelia were very helpful and great with novices and kids. Good quality wash - found about a dozen stones in each wash. Food was great too. Highly recommended 👍

Pats great! Shell show you how to pan properly and what to look for! We had no clue but after a couple of hours had a pretty good idea and walked away with not a fortune lol but a good souvenir of green and blue sapphire and 3 zircon, also had a lovely morning tea while there

We had a great experience fossicking and tasty carrot cake and coffee. Pat was very helpful and welcoming.

Very good for all ages, we spent two days here and came away with 200 small sapphires (easily more). Nothing of real value but for a small cost you get a lot of enjoyment. So much easier than going out bush and digging to get no returns.Pros: Friendly team, cheap wash ($15), cheap beer ($3-6), shaded (this is important our here), loads of small sapphires to be found, nice outdoor area.Cons: none

Had an awesome visit. Sorting through for gems. Also enjoyed a nice coffee with some awesome scones. Staff were really lovely. Very welcoming. Even stayed back past their closing time for us to enjoy our visit. I use a walker and found everything accessible.

I recently visited Pats with my family. It was a great experience, and there was plenty of help at hand to teach us how to wash and what to look for. There is a licenced cafe, which serves up really good food.The gift shop is comprehensive and reasonably priced.Unfortunately we didnt find our fortune lol, but we did find plenty of smaller sapphires to take home. I can see why people catch the bug for fossicking

This place was great. We were not disappointed and happy we made the time to stop. The kids had a great time playing there. The owners were so giving with their knowledge and expertise in finding the gems. Everyone was helpful and friendly. To top it off we got some delicious coffee and scones.

Most relaxing outdoor dinning. Friendly locals/staff. Grab a bite first than get a $12 washbucket.

Pats Gems was so much fun.Turned up for breakfast the staff were amazing super friendly and very knowledgeable. They showed me how to look for gems but also had a laugh and a chat about the local history and town. I had my bucket and I was so excited... After an hour I had found a bag of gems. So worth the visit.
