Tasty food and very cheap

Best bacon I had in years! We loved this little place. 33 bucks for a family of four to eat breakfast must be the most reasonably priced restaurant we have been to in awhile. Everything came out quickly. Price was right. Waitress was friendly! What more could you ask for?

Great place to grab a quick bite! You Can eat in or take out. Prices are very reasonable and food was hott and tasty! Staff was friendly too! Ordered two bacon egg and cheese on toast. Only spent 8$

Absolutely appalled at the way staff treated me and the older special needs woman I was bringing to the establishment for coffee (I am a therapist). We were turned away and denied service when we ordered at the counter, although we only wanted a coffee, and we were turned away due to the worker becoming annoyed at how my client was communicating with her. Patricia’s ruined this woman’s day, who was so excited to go and get coffee and say hello to a familiar face that worked there. I will never be returning myself, or with a client, due to the lack of dignity that was offered.

Nice simple cafe. Breakfast is a reasonable price. I’ll be back

An old woman sat my bf and I at a table. We waited for 5-10 min without being offered water or menus. I understood that it was busy, however a party of 5 that sat after us ,placed their order before us. Unsure of the reason why she didn’t treat us the same, but it was clear that she did not want our business so we left and went to the Pantry on State St in New Haven, CT where we were welcomed and enjoyed their signature cinnamon roll pancakes. The wait was still long but absolutely worth.

Cash only!Great inexpensive breakfast. Be patient. It gets crowded. But once you order, the food arrives fairly quickly.

Whenever we are in New Haven CT, we always come to Patricias. Great diner food, quick service and Patricia is always pleasant!

Food was decent, staff didnt seem very personable perhaps even slightly on the rude side.

As perfect and unassuming as it was 30 years ago when I watched Patricia’s son play at the back of the store. Now he’s waiting tables. Watched him and his mom turn tables with incredible speed and friendliness. A mix of loyal Yale and local clientele. And nobody does corned beef hash better.

Quaint, quiet, comfortable and fast service along with the food being delicious. My daughter and I went there and had a wonderful time

Maybe I caught the kitchen on an off day. Home fries were pure mush, no texture. I think they may have been reheated in a microwave. Also my whole dish had absolutely no seasoning. Bacon was not freshly cooked, and not great. Maybe I’ll give it another chance during peak hours.

This was an unexpected gem! Stopped in on a whim and was blown away. We had the pancakes (upgrade to Blueberry and it will make your day!), eggs over easy, and sausage, and all were delicious and perfectly cooked. The pancakes are the standout here, fluffy and at the same time substantial. Great, old-timey diner experience that is rapidly disappearing.

Rude staff. Sign says they close at 230, went an hour before, and they said they were closed. Never mind there were other patrons there, but maybe they didn’t like the look of my group.

Mediocre. Unfortunately, nothing special, breakfast food is rather bland. Very noisy on the weekends, (college jocks: location of establishment). Dont expect a quiet visit. FYI: bathroom is downstairs.

Whomever the guy was that just answered the phone was very rude. And your business is listed as closed at 2:30pm not 2.

Staff was very friendly. They give lots of food. Prices were reasonable. Parking can be challenging.

Services good the food could be different a little cold but if youre hungry Ill eat it. I will definitely support her small business she has done better maybe its a state of the country Im not sure.

Sweet little breakfast place near yale hospital..needed someplace to sit..food was delicious..clean restaurant..it was cash only..not sure if thats just covid time..but they have atm..highly reccommend

Best breakfast Ive had in a restaurant since I moved to CT over a year ago. Cooked perfectly, the home fries were just crispy enough on the outside and the price is so reasonable. Reminds me of places in Oklahoma. Only downside is that it is cash only but there is an ATM on site. Great service too!!!

I Enjoy a delicious, fresh breakfast here on a regular basis and cant say enough great things about the place! The waitress is great and the chef is a master, not sure but they may be husband and wife. The breakfast is prepared so perfectly and never disappoints. I recently came with coworkers for lunch and enjoyed an equally pleasing experience. Has a hometown diner feel with counter, booth or table seating depending on your group size. The walls have Yale and local pictures and memorabilia. Not a fancy place, but a homey place with great simple, and fresh food!

This is a great little family restaurant ran and managed by a wonderful sweet and hardworking family! I love the food and the service. Great place and a great atmosphere.😊😊😄

I walk in here on a saturday morning I have eaten here before sat at table a ate but in this morning the swevertells me I cannot eat at table because Im by myself I have to eat at counter mind you I was only waiting customer and he tell me its a busy day yes I felt like back in slavery Im a paying customer and I will never be back there again or get a single dollar out my pocket racism at its finest mind you I have eaten here plenty of times before and its been busy

Came here for weekend brunch with a few of my friends, and had a great experience! A standard diner with solid food and reasonable prices.

Great diner food with unlimited coffee and you cant beat the price! Pancakes were fluffy and delicious and the service was good. Only con would be its cash only but they have an ATM if you need it.

Although closed Mondays thə food is traditional American cuisine and prices are low considering the portions of each dish.My preference is the French Toast, they make it in the traditional way with powdered sugar on the toast if requested, otherwise its bareGreat food, great atmosphere, highly recommend

I loved this place. Cash only so dont be surprised. It reminds me of a classic old school family run diner. The food was cooked perfect and tasted great. It was a happy room with lots of happy customers. I would go back again. And I would reccomend it to my friends if they wanted breakfast in New Haven.

The blueberry pancakes are literally my favorite! Theyre amazingly fluffy and go so well with the coffee.
