Patisserie Sylvain Depuichaffray - Pastry shop in Marseille 04, France
Don’t get deceived by the good looks, very poor service, they took forever to serve us when it was empty, coffee arrived cold, subpar croissant and prices not to the level of their prices
Awesome
Loved the millefeuille
Delicious!! Very friendly staff!
Omg, the kouign amann was the best I’ve ever had. Came back twice on our visit to France. Yum!
Very good pastries, might be the best in Marseille!
Wow!! We came here for breakfast three days in a row on our trip. Beautiful pastries and delicious food!! Very good service.
Tasty! I tried the vanilla, chocolate, raspberry and rose, passionfruit, hazelnut, and pistachio flavors. The pistachio flavor was a little lost. Hopefully, it was just my bad luck.
Terrible serviceNo croissants after 9amTreat people rudelyIt’s chaotic inside. People don’t queue and the staff don’t care
I could go below in a rating but google reviews don’t have that possibilities.I bought 6 pain chocolate at this boutique & what discovered that it’s a BABY PAIN CHOCOLATE and they take price of croissant normal. When I return to the boutique they said that it’s a regular size, I was shock. To make the confirmation About the size I went to another boutique PATISSERIE JOSEPH MANDONATO and bought the PAIN CHOCOLATE to compare the size. & the size was bigger than this one.I wouldn’t return to there boutique again.😡
Everything we tried was really good!
Excellent products, great service staff. However crowded (Saturday- and the coffee is only Nespresso. Pretty expensive, too.
Great croissants in a simple setting. Perfect for a quick breakfast
Overwhelmingly delicious pastries and cakes from Depuichaffray - an enormous variety and almost everything tastes good. What seems to be less their specialty is breakfast pastries (croissants, pain au chocolat, etc.as there are other bakeries in the area who do that better, but the cakes, tartes, etc. are fantastic.
It’s extremely sad that they do cheating. PAIN CHOCOLATE should have 2 chocolate bar but they put only 1 bar of chocolate. It’s not by mistake because I bought 6 PAIN CHOCOLATE & all have only 1 chocolate bar.
the first time when I came here when I walked around and took a bus , i saw this shop And stoped to buy a cake to try ! inside is full of cake and chocolates ! Many cakes look so beautiful and yummy . every morning when I wake up I would like to have one croissant 🥐 from here ! So delicious :for my birthday i was so lucky because my family ordered a cake here ( giant macaron with raspberries! Thanks to the chef pâtissier !!!!!!!!
Great pastisserie! There are everything you expect and the price is reasonable to the quality. Perfect place to taste a French Breakfast.
I loved every bite of every single pastry we had. The croissants was crunchy on the outside but buttery soft on the inside, the millefeuille was delicious and the eclair was just a feast for the tongue (however I did miss a traditional bakers cream). The coffee was ok.
Awesome baked goods and chocolates
I had big expectations when entering the place as being recommended by many on the internet, but after eating the very very LITTLE cakes I was really dissapointed. The cakes were much too sweet and the quantity-quality-price is not fair. Hope to find something better here is Marseille.
Super tasty and nice staff
Pricey but AMAZING. Literally one of the best things Ive ever tasted. If youre a tourist visiting for the day I highly recommend it as an experience.
Truly some of the most delicious, creative pastries I have had while still being very accessible and easy to eat. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Amazing Patisserie for lovers of sweet treats
Good selection of products, perhaps not very low cost but if you want to treat yourself every once in a while then this is the place. I tried the classical millefeuille and I would recommend it.
Very delicious and friendly place to stop for a coffee and cake
Great selection of delicious creations and very welcoming, even though we dont speak French. The stuff we got was gorgeous and very fruity. I wish I couldve tried so much more. 😍
Probably one of the best, if not the best in Marseille!I have been there for many years, never was once disappointed, and so many times enchanted! You can have coffee/tea or snack or lunch.Lately also marketing chocolates (have not tried these yet!)Id also recommend the "entremets" that you can order and take-away, some of these are just gorgeous!!
That was so good
Cute patisserie just off from the main port area. Excellent pastry, coffee and teas.
Expexting better !Worth to have a coffe&cake if you are in area.
Fantastic place
The very very nice pastry
Staff was helpful and the patisseries are really nice.
Not bad but not the best in Marseille
Great pastry shop.
Awesome dessert, go!
I love their desserts. Fingerlicking good
Wonderful pastries and a great start for the morning!
Great fine french dessert not extensive
We had a wonderful experience at Sylvain Depuichaffray. My husband and I visited this lovely little patisserie for breakfast when we were in Marseille. It is such a lovely store, super clean and well lit, the staff are very friendly and the owner/manager is just wonderful!! There are English speaking servers so there are no problem communicating with them. We had millefuille and some croissants and a chocolate cake which were all exquisite!! We would definitely visit again if we are in Marseille again. This is definitely a MUST TRY.
Friendly and accommodating staff, excellent selection of pastries. Reasonably priced for the good quality and nice location. Pastries can be taken to the trendy and modern seating area for a small fee. Theres a small food and drink menu available for the seating area as well.
Bloody expensive but worth every penny
Beautiful patisserie. Had the chocolate, passion fruit and matcha cake which was fantastic
Excellent pastries with the possibility to eat them on site, with a drink.
A great tea house
Best patisserie in Marseille. A dream.
I was searching for some spectacular pastries for an after dinner party and stumbled across this place. The pastries are devine and are presented beautifully. Uber chic, a little pricey but definitely worth it.
Absolutely amazing!! All their pastries are lined up on a counter and a wooden bar separates the customers from their, for a good reason! Their violet mousse and coco biscuit was light and tasty. Yummy!
Honestly.....It was fine. But nothing more .The best item was their " Ice Lolly"visited a few days ago.
