Pastasciutta - Italian restaurant in Vatican City, Vatican City
The service was fast and the portion was big. I ate it all because the Cacio e pepe was delicious.
Perfect pasta to go or even you can eat indoor prices on average is 6 euros for plate and it is made in front of you it was nice and super practical if you want to have a quick Italian pasta and by the way i was super full after that plate
Ordered truffle cream pasta. The cream was good unfortunately the pasta seem undercooked.Otherwise at this price the portion is generous.
Delicious food and very generous portions and a great price! What more do you want. Easy to get there by bus or walking, and the beer/wine is cheap too. An iconic eatery in Rome and a must visit.
Cacio e pepe was very salty but still very tasty. Great value for this price. We’ll come back to try other pastas next time we are in Rome.
Very nice pasta for a good price but not the one that you dont want to miss in Rome.
I enjoyed the pasta. It was quite good.Simple down to earth pasta place. I had the truffle pasta while my partner had the ragu. He didnt like the ragu as hes used to my version of it, which has more spices, and more vegetables - to which his excuse was its too meaty. But i tried it and knew instantly that it was good ragu. Its definitely worth a visit if youre on a budget :)
Superb cheap eat right next to the Vatican! I had an excellent carbonara, decent portion size, 6€
Food store is closing at 5:35pm eventhough it says its closing at 6:30pm.We ordered different pasta with different pasta sauce however, we only got same type of pasta with different sauce. The pasta we have ordered were salty, dry and not fully cooked though. We ordered 4 too... very Disappointed.
Amazing pasta! Small place most people eat outside standing, but if you wait or get lucky then you can sit in. Food is prepared fast. Ideal stop when visiting near the Vatican museums.
After exiting the Vatican City my husband and I were talking about where to eat. I looked down this side street and saw a line of people and the sign “Fresh handmade pasta to go” We immediately went! We had the strozzapreti pasta cacio e pepe style and pappardelle al ragu. Both were AMAZING! You can see them cutting the fresh pasta while you wait. Gabriele was so nice!!!! Absolutely recommend!
One of the best pasta places in Rome, would highly recommend for a quick bite to eat if you are not wanting a restaurant setting. Simple easy great tasting Italian food anyone visiting the Vatican needs to try this place for food. 🍝💚🇮🇹❤️
Amazing pasta! Very good for the price of 6€. We got them super fast as well.
Im SO impressed by this place. The pasta is AMAZING (I had the Pesto and my boyfriend had the Ragu), the prices are really low (6€), the portions are large, the service is fast, the location is ideal (steps from the Vaticanand the decor is so cute. Literally everything about this place is great. Nothing else to say - just eat here
There are good pasta and nice staff. Also many people come here to eat pasta. They seat on the ground and stand on the street. It’s interesting and atmospheric.
Delicious homemade pasta. Portion is big. We recommend pomodoro and pesto ones! Also we would appreciate cheese on top, but it’s delicious even without :)
Cheap and delicious, perfect for lunch, close to the Vatican, there isnt much space inside but you can enjoy your pasta outside without waiting 😃
Excellent value for money, portions are generous and sauce is rather tasty, although a bit dry for my taste (maybe because we chose takeaway?). Service is quick and friendly.
We stopped by here for lunch on our way back from Vatican and I am happy we did. The pasta was freshly made, very tasty and the service quick. It was only 6 bucks for pasta and it filled us up, we would like to eat here again and try the other kind of pasta they had before we leave.
Papardelle al ragú was amazing. Spaghetti cacio e pepe is very salty for me. Just like licking the salt.
We love anything truffle-flavored. This hole-in-the-wall offers delicious and classic “al dente 😍” pastas. Generous serving.Eat it while it’s hot though!
That was a unique experiense. Really fast (we had about 15 orders before us and we got our food in 5-8 minutes). Really small place but people enjoyed it sitting on the street.Really cheap (even for a place thats not around the Vatican). The pasta was 6 euros, beer 2.
The best pasta we ate during our whole week in Italy!! Absolutely divine. We bought an extra portion to share since one each was not enough. Perfect energy boost after a long morning at the Vatican museums before moving on to St Peter’s’ Basilika. Very, very highly recommended.!!
If you just want delicious pasta and dont need a fancy place to inrich your experience, then Pastasciutta is the place to go. For just 6€ you will get excellent pasta that tastes fantastic. Its so good, we went there twice.
Best place to it, near the Vatican. The price is as good as their food. There is some place to sit, but I think is just easy to sit on the street. Inside you can see how they make home made pasta. I would came back to this place.
One of the best and cheapest pasta in Rome. There are 6 different pastas and they are all 6€. It’s ready in minutes and delicious.
Extraordinary pasta here, tasty and absolutely delicious!
We tried the pesto pasta and tomato sauce pasta. They were great! Highly recommend this place if you are nearby and need a quick bite to eat.
The food is gd.. Budget friendly.. You can dine in or eat outside.. the pepe pasta is salty i don’t recommend.
This place was highly rated, but when we visited today, I had hair and metal in my pasta! This ruined the entire experience and with so many options in Roma, Id say find a better one.
Amazing Pasta, great price. True taste of Italy
Very tasty, tradicional pasta.Small but cozy local with good price.Recommend eating outside on the stairs or on the bench
Delicious pasta. 🍝 there are 6 types. Prices are good. Friendly stuff. Air conditioner inside. Mostly people eat outside standing, but if you wait a 10- minutes you can sit in. Food is prepared fast. Nearby Vatican museum
We came here for a quick bite before visiting the Vatican museums and we were glad we did. They had incredible food, great prices, and hearty portions. My family got one of each pasta so we could try them all - most of them loved the carbonara the best, but I thought that either the pesto or the Bolognese were the best. Either way, its a cant miss stop for food if youre in the area!
The best carbonara Ive ever had! Its a small place, quite unassuming, but I went to eat there a second time in 3 days. And I lived on the other side of town. In a city with so many places to eat, this deserves a special trip. Am prices are low.
For the price, flavors and fresh pasta this is a great place to eat. No bathrooms and limited seating. I had the Ragu and Carbonara. Delicious.
What an amazing place! If you’re looking for a place to eat A LOT, GOOD and CHEAP, here is perfect!6€ and it was a blast of a Carbonara! And believe me, it’s a very well served portion of it.Inside there are only 4 to 5 sets. The idea is exactly to take away or eat at the sidewalk. Anyway, you’re in Rome… eating some pasta while you’re walking it’s not a problem!
Homemade pasta was AMAZING. Definitely go to this place once you exit the Vatican museums. You will thank me later! (pasta was €6 w/ €1.50 Coke)
Fresh and fast pasta, close to Vatican, will make you full before any sightseeing :)
Amazing, chewy, good portion, well-prices pasta served fresh after a long day at the Vatican. So good that I got 2 plates!
This is a small restaurant but they serve the best pasta in the city. There is a small area for sitting-in as well, but mostly you’ll find people getting it as a takeaway.
We tried pesto and truffe souce pastas..Pesto one was better and very delicious. It depends your taste of cource. Prices are cheap and athmosphere of the street was nice. Strongly recommend!
Tasty fresh pasta. Reasonable price for a place so close to the Vatican.
Incredibly delicious, if you come to the Vatican, you should definitely stop by. Their pasta is amazing, the shop is very small and the choice is few but delicious. I strongly recommend it.
This place is very popular on Polish food blogs, we were a little bit scared as they all said there is always 30-40 minutes of waiting in a line to order 😅 But we were alone, pasta was delicious. We had basil pesto pasta and papardelle with ragù sauce. Both were great, I would only add some cocktail tomatoes to the basil pesto one:portions were large, perfect for a meal before or after long visit in Vatican
A small, value-for-money restaurant offering fresh pasta to eat in, take away or eat outside, at the same price. Dishes cost 5-6 Euros and are very tasty and filling. It is located close to the Vatican, so it is recommended for a quick bite. Try the papardelle al ragu! Unfortunately the restaurant is extremely small and there is not enough space to eat inside.
Delicious! Consistent, cheap, FRESH, I couldn’t ask for more! If you’re looking to enjoy a quick and delicious traditional pasta, come here and again and again. Beware that inside seating is limited and there’s no restroom service, but the take out service and outdoor area still grants it 5-stars. I highly recommend their tagliatelle and truffle pasta dishes! You can watch the pasta be made alongside the chef serving the dishes. If you want more cheese (parmesan), pepper or even red pepper flakes just ask.
Delicious and inexpensive pasta dishes right next to the Vatican! Easy to order and quickly made fresh! Highly recommend if you’re starved and in the area. However, no extra proteins available for the pasta, there are only 7 bar seats inside, and no toilette.
You might not see it walking past, but this was a great spot! Having been to the Vatican Museum, this was the perfect place for a quick lunch. Fair prices and very speedy service.
Very good pizza and friendly staff. Nice and well located location. All pasta is homemade and has a perfect taste. The prices are very good. Maybe in the future it would help if there was a terrace in front.
