Pastafabrikken - Restaurant in Tromso, Norway
Absolutely delicious meal! The bolegnese was incredible. Garlic bread was amazing! The service was top notch. Understanding that the world is changing and ordering from the QR code online was truly no big deal! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for fellow tourists!
chicken mushroom pasta and garlic bread were really delicious! and there is wi fi which is a plus :)
I ordered the Neptuno soup and it was one of the most delicious sea food soup I ever tasted. The staff are also very nice and always smiling.Be prepared to help yourself to water but for the rest they are more than happy to help.Would definitely recommend
Excelent pasta. Kitchen is open so you can see how they prepare your food, which is a plus. The ordering system is a bit annoying, it is still like in covid-era and they forget some stuff.
Good atmosphere and quiet music. Friendly staff, and good food 🍝
We visited this place for several times, and we still love the Italian food, but unfortunately the meals are not the same as they were a year ago! My favorite was pasta neptuno, before it was served in a big plate with a lot of authentic crab, however the two last times I ordered this meal, the portion was reduced and I did not get any crab claws. Further I really loved the tiramisu desert, it was one of the best I have ever tried, but the last time now I did not like that they exchanged the cacao powder for greater chocolate pieces. In total they serve good food, which used to be even better before 😢
This is an app-place, where human interaction seems to be avoided. When you enter, the first things they tell you is to get seated and order via app. Ok, if it’s an app-order system, I thought theprices would be lower (logic: app-order means less waiterrelated work that equals cheaper foodbut no, a small pizza for 160 kr with minimal human interaction, what’s the point of eating out? Food was good though and held the standards. Recommended for introverts who need to avoid eye contact.
Ok food for the price. Service subpar and only the god forsaken mobile menu and ordering with prepay. Hate it. I tipped and regretted it. I will never tip on prepay ever again. The table order for the three of us came at different times with tens of minutes apart. Confused and anxious waitors requiring receipt before checking. No follow up. Just stay away.
The site you have to use for ordering does not support safari - i.,e, iphones. The waitress was not able to take orders orally as she was preoccupied creating an espresso for one of the other employees and also handling orders for customers who managed to get the site to work. Food arrived late, just before we had to leave.
Pretty average pasta, which was sadly over boiled. The staff was great though.
I think one of the best things Pastafabrikken does is the fish soup, it really is delicious and has a reputation of being the best in town. Something I agree on albeit a tad too salty perhaps ñ, but still thoroughly enjoyed it. An extra side of bread accompanies it perfectly. The desserts are also good, the best probably being the Pecan Pie. Although the Pannacotta is the only homemade one it wasnt great.
Excellent foodGood portion sizeEspecially rate fishy pastaMay need to bookClassy interior
Food was delicious 👍🏼 and service friendly. You make the order by scanning a qr code with your phone and pay as well. Quite easy! They bring your food to the table and it arrived very fast! Beverages are quite pricey, but tap water is free.
Food is not good, overcooked pasta, too much sauce. You also have to order on an app, and going to a cash register to preorder and pay in advance. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the staff that where nice 🙏
I had a caesar salad, which was excellent. My friends had pastas which were ‘ok’ according to them.Service was friendly and punctual.Prices were fine for Norway
Great food. really fresh tasting pasta and a good veggie selction. Only giving 4 stars as the ordering system is not so great! You order via an app, scanning a QR code for the menu. It is a good idea, but means you dont really get a chance to look at everything on the menu as you scroll through on your phone, so you could miss or forget some things. It also means there is not much of the human touch (the staff are very friendly, but it is sometimes nice to ask about dishes, etc and get suggestions).
Place is good and they have amazing garlic bread but the Pasta was the worst I have ever tried in my life. May be I ordered the wrong one. So don’t go for vegetarian pasta as it’s just boiled Panne/spaghetti with some boiled vegetables on top (mostly tomatoes). Staff is really good and they have quick service as well so give it a try for Garlic bread.
Nice place after a Ski and Sail trip! Tasty food and friendly staff
Great place for pasta with reasonable prices (when comparing with prices in other Norwegian restaurants).
The best Italian restaurant Ive tried in Norway 🇳🇴The staff is helpful and smiles
The food is very delicious, the atmosphere is appealing and the personnel is super nice. The only problem is the ordering process is not completely translated to English but thats nothing that a translator app and a bit of plausible reasoning cant overcome.
Eating in Norway expensive? Not here. For the quality of food (and servicethe price is amazing. Highly recommended.
Great place for pasta! They served us a big helping of spaghetti and they were really tasty (dont forget to taste the garlic bread...🤤)The service was nice and also the place had a cozy feeling all around. You need to order from your phone and pay before eating, as a spanish person this seems a little too impersonal but great if you are an introvert! It has a really pricey beverages...
Lovely pasta restaurant. Gets busy for walk-ins so would recommend booking, particularly if youre trying to walk-in on valentines day like we did! Staff quite hands off, you order at the till yourself. Really fabulous Italian in Norway, lovely atmosphere. Would come back.
Perfect!! Very helpfull and friendly waiter. And lovely food and drinks!!
Lovely staff and amazing food! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Cozy restaurant to go, good food, not super kids friendly, they have a kids menu, but the food is with a lot of condiments, we ask to warm up some soup for our baby, only on the third time they did, after we insist.Very modern to order by app and pay etc, but if you don’t understand so much technology or do not have a smart food, can be trick! It’s ok if you travel couple or alone, I would not recommend for a family with toddlers..
We ordered to foodora food came fast and hot! Taste fantastic
I guess I was fortunate to have been recommended this place by a cute waitress at Smortorget cafe.Since my first visit 2 days ago at this place, I had dinner here every evening.Amazing choice of Italian food especially if you are a vegetarian. They were very busy on a Saturday evening which was understandable, I was still given a table and served on time.Every member of staff was occupied dealing with plenty of customers but their service was still top notch.I had pasta on my first day and on my third day of visit, different dishes. I had pizza on my second day. All dishes were delicious. You could taste every ingredient and was cooked sublimely well.Glad I discovered this place. Whether I am in Oslo or Stavanger or in Tromso, Norway has never disappointed me when it comes to food.I highly recommend this cool place.
Cosy place with delicious pasta. I ordered via app and drinks and food came really quick! I was super surprised. Only four stars because the choice of drinks is little low.
Went in and ordered using the app functionality. Really smooth process overall as drinks and food were delivered to the table fairly quickly.Good selection of wine and different foods on the menu. Portion sizes were just right - filling and enough and overall price for a main, a soft drink and an alcoholic drink was around €30, so fairly reasonable for an evening restaurant meal in the area.
Checked all my boxes for great ambiance, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. Would want to come back and eat again!
Visited Pasta Fabrikken Tromsø This Sunday 17.10.2021For the first time we were disappointed with very bad service and unwelcoming personnel.Tables were dirty, waiter was very unprofessional.Same time, place was quite full of people and person in the reception did not really do much. People were confused.Whats happening with the food ? It really did not feel like its fresh. It used to be a very nice place with fine service and nice food.Very disappointed ! Not going back there again.
Absolutely delicious food at very reasonable prices. We ordered pasta neptune and pasta diavolo, it’s probably the best pasta I have eaten so far 🤤
Truly a taste of Italy in the middle of the Arctic circle.Great food, lots of variety. Prices are average, similar to everything else in Tromsø, but the quality of the food and service is great. Visited twice throughout our three-day stay in the city.Located near the central street in Tromsø and close to several hotels. Easily accessible.
Good pasta, had the vegetarian and the pesto Rosso. Both were tasty and good portions for a reasonable price. The garlic bread was very delicious, wish it was a bigger portion for the price.Edit:Went there again on our last day, this time ordered the same and more yummy bread! Very friendly staff, lucky charm as we saw northern lights that night
I ordered pasta, while my husband ordered pizza and we split everything half and half. The pasta was tasty and it had lots of meat in it, which rarely happens, however it was very wet. The sauce was not thick enough to call it a sauce, so after eating all the pasta there was some "soup" left on the bottom of the plate. The pizza was nice, the crust was perfect, however the ingredients were not properly scattered on the surface of the pizza, so we only had olive slices on one side.Overall good food, drinks and service.
Great as a one time visit, the food is decent and there are plenty of drinks to choose from.We had some pasta and a pizza, the pasta was quite nice, rich in ingredients and cooked nicely. The pizza not so great, it lacked ingredients and the ones that were on the pizza, were "placed" / "arranged" very poorly. The staff seems super stressed and busy, I think, for the size, this restaurant would need an additional or even 2 additional waiters.Overall, good enough not to feel sad that I spent my hard earned money here. But I wouldnt go again :(
This pictures describes it best: 30 minutes after ordering, the table is still to be cleaned from the guests before. Drinks are served regularly after the meals, starters as well.
Background: lived in Norway and Tromsø for 12 years, been here many times before. The food was alright during this visit, as I usually is, but the service today was terrible. We hadnt been here in a while, and hadnt realized that they had begun with a mobile app to order the food. When we found a table, there was no table card explaining this. We found the menu online instead, and went to the register to order. The woman behind the counter said that we just order at the table on our phone. When I didnt find the info on their website, I asked how to order. She just told me, "Google" and shooed me away. We ended up finding the table card on another table and ordered our food. She was stressed and not very service oriented. Another waiter helped us, and he was very kind and apologized for some food coming late. The food is great, but the service definitely wasnt the best.
The pasta was good and prepared well. The ordering process is awful, using an app on the phone that I didnt have. The staff was willing to help. It was a positive experience.
Staffs were kind. Lasagna and beer were good. Also the restaurant has a free WIFI. I want to come here again when I visit Tromsø.
The best Scrampi pasta i ever had in my life and very fresh salad will definitely visit again
My favourite restaurant in Tromso! Great food, fast service, cool atmosphere and very reasonable price 👌
Caezar salad with bread!! Delicious! Really big dishes. Modern restauran in the midle of the city centre. Recommended:)
The pasta was okay however it was not the pesto we were expecting. I was disappointed that I had to assemble my own bruschetta and the tomatoes were not ripe. The cheesecake was delicious. The price was very expensive considering this was a self serve style restaurant.
The food was really good! Went there twice during a workshop from work.I really like the pager system that alarms visitors as soon as their food is ready to be picked up from the counter.
Nice restaurant for having a normal lunch 😊 food tastes good (but not outstandingand is made fast. Hasnt been overcrowded and has had a nice atmosphere. I also liked the interior! I can recommend the garlic bread - it is very good. The whole restaurant concept is similar to the Vapiano restaurant from Germany. If you like to see some good pictures of Norway you can visit my instagram: @florianreichelt 😊
Its a cafe-like (a kind of Self service)The atmosphere is really nice and cosyThe food was good and staff was niceStill expensiveIts open to 11 am to 1o pm. You can eat all afternoon long.Service very quick
Lovely pizza and pasta. Definitely a restaurant for the locals (as befits the low price for Norway - budget £50 for a meal with a beerwhich is a good sign in itself.
