Pasta Paradiso Ristorante Italiano - Italian restaurant in Los Alamos, United States
Food was reason for 5 stars! Top Knotch!Only negative(scould have been the time of day and day of the week, I was there Saturday night to try the prime rib. Literally empty between 5:00-6:00 pm. I was the ONLY customer in my area.Miss ...*sniff*.....Denise and Lori from the old hill diner and their awesome personalities and banana cream pie (...but since i gotta lose some weight maybe the pie will only be in memories of days gone by...)
Meatball pasta, salty , hard meatballs, barely any sauce. Wait was so long. Offered us free dessert to compensate, didnt have two of the desserts on menu. Didnt list bell peppers in salad so spouse had to pick them all out.
Decided to try this place for the first time...... I canβt say horrible enough. There is nothing paradise about this place. We waited a long time for our food and the lady who was there before us got her food after us. The server brought me Bleu cheese with my salad, I had asked for ranch. He went back to the kitchen and still brought out Bleu cheese. Never going back. Not worth it, way overpriced for the quality of food/service.
Yummy, good service and large portions! I highly recommend the Napoleon (chefs speciality), excellent!
Buffett was missing half the food. Couldnt even get the Salad Bar refilled. Talked to the manager the next day and he said I waited too long to get a refund. Will never return and will definitely warn others about going there.
We were brought the wrong food, then never got one of our dishes, then we were overcharged on our check, finally it took 45 minutes for them to try and get our correct bill. Spent over 2 hours here. Ive never, ever, ever had a worse experience at a restaurant
My husband and I really enjoyed our night out at Pasto Paradiso Italian Ristorante. I had the Italian Herb Chicken Entree and my Husband had the Chicken Carbonara.Entree. The atmosphere and music is very mellow and calm. Hats off to the chef. Excellente
Great taste and great service, either they are very busy, the wait is not too long and the food taste deserves the waiting time , waitress so nice , I like she take my order on my primary language, I definitely come back soon , thanks for the great experience
Great food and service! Vegetarian-friendly for me; my husband is a meat eater, and they accommodated him as well! Staff is very polite and friendly! We will be looking forward to dining in again.
I am disappointed only with the fact that I dont get to Los Alamos very often! Food was marvelous, the staff busy, but personable. There were several GF options for me, they understand and accommodate food allergies!
Great Prime Rib on Saturday and great customer service. The only thing wrong was dessert we decided on the Cannoli and took it home. It was not a traditional Italian Cannoli not even close. I would not recommend getting the Cannoli but the prime rib was good.
Great fresh cooked food, cozy atmosphere, and always nice and inviting staff. Ehile I enjoy the food, I must admit part of the reason I go is for the bread and oil while you wait on your food. Also, the tables have paper on them and they supply crayons for your little ones. Who doesnt like to draw on the table while you wait?
The prime rib (Saturdays onlywas excellent as were all the dishes our group had. We always find their wines to be well curated. Kind thoughtful service, even when they are busy.
I was raised to cook Italian food by a native Italian so I can be fussy about Italian cuisine. I was really impressed with the food here! Plus the staff is sweet and knowledgeable! They are very community oriented and you feel at home at the restaurant.
Great Italian fare at fantastic prices with friendly service in a family atmosphere! The lunchtime all-you-can-eat buffet is a steal, and the prime rib on Saturday nights is perfection on a plate. The owner Renee is there at all times to ensure you and your loved ones have a great experience all around.
The food is always delicious here and service can be hit or miss. If you ask for Natalia you will have excellent service no matter what, and she can make helpful recommendations about the menus. The place is a bit pricey, but the food has been amazing every time Ive eaten there.
This review is strictly limited to the buffet option.* The Marianara here was to die for, highly recommend.* The chicken parm and raviolis were very dry.* Salad was fresh and had a wide range of options. The staff here is very nice and friendly. Ill definitely be back to try a full dinner option.
The food is good, if a little pricey. Homey atmosphere, and everybody gets to play with the basket of crayons, on the white paper table cover. Let your artistic side come out and play. Theres also a childrens menu with places to color and some puzzles. Oh, do be careful about asking for refills on the bread. This isnt Olive Garden. After a couple of baskets (6 slices for 4 people?theyll charge you $2.00 a basket.
The menu is now very extensive and enticing. There were several salmon entrees on the menu, and an excellent salmon special, which I had and loved.
Best onion rings Ive ever had. Mouth watering Rosemary pork loin, great filet. My new favorite place in town.
An over priced commodity. Service was okay but not great. Canβt see how they will stay in business at these prices. We dined in on a Tuesday night 6 pmβish and only 2 tables were occupied including us.
This place was an amazing choice for here in Los Alamos. The food is astoundingly good, the waiters (nick was ours and he was phenomenal!!went above and beyond all expectations! Thank you for making tonight an enjoyable experience for me!
I went here a few times while staying in a nearby hotel. At first we enjoyed the experience, even though there were some minor things wrong each time, such as undercooked veggies, slow food service. But the last time we went was the final straw. Our food came out and was cold. Three different entrees and each one was lukewarm at best. My husband mentioned something to the waiter. His response was oh, thats weird. I brought it out as soon as it was ready. That was all we got. No manager talked to us. No discount on our cold food. No offer to fix it in any manner. The only redeeming feature is that my family liked the panna cotta dessert.
Was not impressed with the quality of food for the price. Entrees were suppose to come with a salad but we were told they were out of dressing so the waitress asked if we wanted an appetizer instead, we agreed but didnt expect to pay full price for the appetizer. I would rather go to Olive Garden. The wait staff was nice though. Would not recommend.
Best food ever! This place has great food, great atmosphere and amazing service. The New York Strip Steak melts in your mouth and is cooked to perfection! The Italian sodas are as close to Italy as you can get! They have a great lunch too! Go check them out. You wont leave hungry.
Friendly service. Good variety. Love the Jumbo Shrimp Stuffed with Gouda & Wrapped in Baconβ―as well as the Feta Grilled Chicken Salad appetizers!
This was a wonderful experience! Not only did the owner come out and personally talk to us at the table, our our server was outstanding and the food was magnificent! This restaurant has a very nice romantic cozy feeling to it. We will definitely be eating here again!
My meal was excellent and the service was superb! I had the Cioppino seafood pasta and it was amazing. The pasta was tender and not mushy and the seafood was perfect. Not overcooked and very fresh! The staff made us feel incredibly welcome and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. We will be back!
The service was good.. friendly host.. the prices were fine, but the fries were soggy and wish the pasta or the sauce from the buffet was hotter. I did enjoy the spicy shrimp.
The customer service was good but I think the food was over priced. I have had better tasting pasta for much less.
Nice, quick buffet for lunch. Prices are a little high for a buffet but great service and nice clean restaurant.
Excellent! Los Alamos has been missing a true Italian restaurant for some time, and Pasta Paradiso exceeds all expectations.
Great staff. Food (calzonescould use some work. Id suggest more focus on seasonings. Pasta & calzones were too greasy for Italian food. But a nice place.
Very average food. Its priced way too high. Although the service was good, I wouldnt go back.
Friendly personal, amaizing manager. I arrived to this place 20 min before they closed, so buffet didnt had some food. Manager came up to us and said they will bring more food in a sec. Couple minuts later all bar was restocked. Definitely coming back
Great food and friendly service. Finally an Italian restaurant in Los Alamos. Stayed past closing enjoying desert and the staff.
A much improved lunch experience, pasta is now made fresh to order for the buffet. The buffet has much more selection including lasagna, pizza, ravioli and more. A wonderful turnaround from last year, will definitely be added to the lunch rotation!
We love the prime rib special on Saturday nights! Renee makes an incredible effort to buy the best of wines, pastas, and meats for her customers. A great, reasonably priced kids menu. Cant wait to try the Sunday champagne brunch.
A wonderful brunch. Restaurant was very clean with friendly staff, always ready to serve. Nice variety on the food bar. Very enjoyable experience. I recommend Pasta Paradiso to everyone! π
Pasta Paradiso has evolved from its initial offerings of buffet only content to provide a solid menu of Italian offerings at a fair price. The prime rib on Saturdays is excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly.
The green mussel pasta was delicious, so much that its pretty much the only thing I get.
Attentive and knowledgable staff...Steven was our waiter and was very polite and responsive to our table, going above and beyond his expected job description to make sure we were well taken care of and had a good evening. The owner stopped by to say hello, and was very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer.
Im Sorry Pasta Paradiso,In spite of everything negative I read, and everything negative my friends told me about dinner, I thought Id try. $14 lunch buffet, $2 iced tea, tax, tip came in just under $20.The remodel is great. I really liked the atmosphere. The rather modest salad was fresh and delicious. The blue cheese dressing ... all of the comments were true, thin sauces including the salad dressing. The soup was good. The pasta - cooked well beyond al dente. Meatballs were uninspired. The suggested tips on the check started at 15%, I dont usually tip at buffets more than $1 or 2. I learned the waitstaff are dependent on tips to get their minimum wage. They will have to figure out that themselves. In short, had I made that pasta at home and gave it to my kids, I would apologize. Not for the soup or salad though, that was good, or at least appropriately good for the price. In the end, Im not sure Souper Salad would serve the pasta. I sure hope these folks hire someone who can cook because I like their restaurant idea. Like so many LA restaurants before it, our population of 18k will each eat there once, and decide not to go back, at 100 people a day they only have 180 days. I hope they figure it out before then...
I actually had a long lunch hour so I decided to try it out. The food I had was good, i didnt notice anything being cold like some of the other reviews. I had the pasta & salad bar. The salad bar was limited but the salad I had was good as well. Waiting staff was friendly. Pasta & sauce selection was good. Nothing else like it here in Los Alamos. The only reason for not giving the 5th star was the price. I can understand the reason for the price since its all you can eat but I dont think Ill be visiting too often for lunch since I dont eat enough to warrant the price.
We went to this place a few days after it opened, was very disappointed especially in the price, $17.00 too high for what you get. Pasta and sauces nothing to brag about, very bland. Bread was a joke, tiny little baguettes served with a dip or olive oil. Only one side of the bar was opened so too many people crowded into this space and takes forever to get to the food. Should have two lines. They need to have lasagna and ravioli added to the buffet to make it worth $17.00. I wish them luck, here in Los Alamos we do not have any great places to eat. I dont think we will be going back there unless the price drops!
We were so excited. And nothing was warm. The chicken sat for hours and my knife couldnt even cut through it. We spent $45 for a bowl of soup pretty much. Nothing else was edible. I feel bad, this restaurant wont last if this is the quality of food.
I ordered the salad and pasta bar and was disappointed. The sauces were bland and the bread we were served was stale. I had the chicken lasagna and it was lukewarm. Pasta is the sort of thing you cook and serve immediately, so maybe a bar with precooked pasta and etc. is not a good idea. It was also very noisy and there was a lot of bustle in the back of the restaurant as servers tore paper for new table covers and moved in and out of the butler area--not a calm dining experience. Also, $17 for the pasta bar was very high, in my opinion. I probably wont go again. :(
The Sunday brunch at Pasta Paradiso was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and service was very pleasant. The crowd seemed to be enjoying the the atmosphere and the wonderful selections of different Italian dishes. Enjoy πππππ
Sunday brunch was WONDERFUL ! Prime rib was tender and cooked to perfection ! Best meatballs I have ever eaten, pasta sauce fabulous, salad bar with terrific dressing. A delicious dining experience in an extremely pleasant atmosphere with great wait staff. Thank you for a very lovely meal ! π
I would steer clear of this place and save your money. When we were seated we were told that all the food was fresh. This could be farther from the truth. The noodles were the same type that you could buy in the grocery store in the dry isle and the sauce was tasteless and watered down. We were also served bread after our meal was over with a horrible looking and tasting yellow goop they called a dipping sauce. At 17 dollars a person I would have expected higher quality food. This was below the quality of a casino buffet.
