Visited this spot before the match last week. Really friendly spot and perfectly positioned for getting to the ground. Definitely recommend.

This place is opposite the Leicester train station.Small and compact with pool table and beer garden where there is sometimes free music provided. (I saw a metal band called Pogo Preacher pictured who were excellent)Service is average and drinks quite expensive.Avoid if the football is on as the law put the away fans in it.

Was sitting outside, suddenly got told by a lady I had to move,asked why,she shrugged her shoulders and walked off. Finished pint and left,not been back since. Thats after drinking,socialising there for 20 years.

Please do not waste your money and order from this place. The portion and taste was not worth the price. I’m normally nice but this is ridiculous. This was supposed to be okra btw. It doesn’t draw and only has 3 pieces of small ‘assorted meat’ for £15

A great find in the heart of Leicester! Food is great quality - their African menu is banging! - and service is good. My wife and I will be recommending this place to all of our family and friends.

This is cool bar to hang out with friends. Loving varieties of cocktail and the music 👌🏽…..a relaxing environment. Staff also engaging and nice . Good service. I will definitely recommend. I will be coming back with more friends😁

I went there to just go to the toilet and the owner and server is absolutely amazing, I was supposed to just go toilet and I’ve been her 4 hours the staff is so friendly and the drinks aren’t expensive I will always come here and is so very kind I will always be coming here ! And it’s opposite the train station the Passion blend n hind bar I will come in her every time!!!❤️ NG is amazing and cool flavours!!!

The African dishes are most definitely valid, became a regular customer after my first time eating here. Great reasonable prices and customer service is up to standard by all staff, would definitely recommend this restaurant/pub.

Never stepped into the place but Ive ordered frequently from there and I have to say something. For the price their charging, the portion sizes is a joke. Their the only African place on delivery apps like Uber Eats and Just Eat that dared to serve such small portions while their prices are so similar to the other places. They may open earlier but it comes with dissappoint. They also cant cook suya to save their life. Instead of spice that the product is known for, your tasting one of the most sour meats to ever grace your lips. My record is three pieces before throwing in the towel.The only reason why this isnt one star is because apart from these issues, the food is most pretty solid.

The Hind is a solid traditional pub in Leicester, a stones throw from the station. They normally offer a healthy selection of cask ales. Upon my visit in October, on a stopover between Stansted Airport and Derby, ALL of the cask ales were out. All of them. The barman was very friendly, but of course there was nothing he could do. Fairly cozy interior, pleasant place.

The beef suya is really something else, great staff, Alex is a fittie, cant recommend more

Wow this was the worst meal I have ever bought. They didnt honour the Meerkat deal. Took 50 minutes to serve food. The rice tasted like a packet mix. The meat was all bones and the chicken burger like a piece of cardboard. No wonder the place was empty! No apology when I complained no attempt to rectify anything...but lets face it they had no chance of recovering from it unless it entailed a full refund. Never be going again even on 241 !My response to the owners reply is this....You have missed the point completely. Meerkat 241 was NOT the issue! Had it been we would not have stopped for food at your establishment. No idea what you are referring to regarding drinks...unless you mean because asked if you had a happy hour on cocktails!...which was hardly a ridiculous question, and was just an enquiry not a problem. We bought 3 rounds of drinks and spent £26 on food. So clearly money/deals were not a concern at all. What was an issue was the actual inedible food. All 3 meals were returned. No attempt was made to rectify the situation, in fact all the staff vanished in the back. I felt sorry for the girl attending us as clearly she was not in a position to help but had to be the front of house and listen to the complaint with no back up from the owner who clearly dosent care about building customers or taking responsibility for the quality of service. I have NEVER left a bad review in my life. Congratulations you are my first, and most justified on all fronts!If you like packet rice, dried inedible chicken, and bones with cold tomatoes, soggy fries with a plastic slice of cheese melted on top highly recommended it....otherwise I suggest walking a bit further into town and getting some decent food at one of the other eateries Leicester can be proud of.

Food was disgusting, I was the only one in the party who made an attemp to eat it and felt Ill afterwards. The atmosphere was nice and the place has a lot of potential being near the train station however they seriously need to up their game for food. The waitress was really nice and polite however after returning our food vi(rtually Untouchedthere was no apology or any offer for a refund

Felt nice in the back, staffs were friendly. Unfortunately the other customers were rude and obnoxious, staring at my girlfriend because we were a mixed race couple. Good beer but lacking in food options only having "burgers and chicken" the 3 times I went in the period of 4 weeks

Food was brilliant, the chips were absolutely incredible. Staff are relaxed and the manager went out of their way so that both of us had the food we wanted and in time for our train.First time coming in here today, will definitely be back next time were in Leicester!Thanks again for sorting us out! 👊

I was there last week and it was very busy. They are all working so hard but all of us could see that its wort coming back. The beef burger is just something else. I never tasted something like that. And obviously the service! Alex you stole my heart!! I recommend this place to everyone!

Had a good time at this place, me and my friends enjoyed. And i just want to say that the servicse from Khrista was very good, she was really helpful to me and my friends to the point we had to tip her for her excellent service.

This bar is a joke. Prices during football games are more expensive than normal. Despite the offered student discounts upon presentation of the student ID card, the manager/head did not allow the employee to grant the discount and the owner is rude. No wonder there are never any people in the bar.

Im a STUDENT, I worked in a pub for a few months and from this experience I would put out zero stars if it was possible. I was cheated, the owner doesnt want to pay me back for over 2 months, there is no contact with him. Whats more, the pub uses a lot of interesting games to CHEAT the customers as well, among other things, it INCREASES the price of everything as soon as more people appear and any discounts that they advertise before entering do not really work, including student ones. If your PASSION is cheating and lying I sympathize. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Brilliant Pub I know the most of the staff their Sam and Aster very friendly people in the hind I am always happy at the hind with my pints I dont have any trouble from anyone very nice furniture and arcade machine the food is very yummy and nice I am always in the hind when I have the money I can always chill and with my pints and have a fun time and I can always speak to Sam the boss he always cheers me up and have a laugh with me best Pub I have ever been too 🤗🤗

Flat beer at £4.40 for Carling, £4.00 bottle for Heiniken 0.0. Used to be a good pub prices are now too high for the kind of pub it is. Head for Wetherspoons instead.

Amazing pub with great prices and the nicest landlord in the world. Amazing food always made from scratch (not frozen like in most places). Plus a beautiful back garden with grill for parties! And what is very important to mention- the venue is very clean. And toilet smells like Hubba Bubba.

Landlord very rude could do with management skills enquired bout food rude NO pub was empty I wonder why ... nothing compared to old landlord my advice dont bother shame really was a good boozer just need a landlord that with a friendly welcome and more professional attitude

Terrible beer flat and awful, food was old and appalling.Tried to change our flat pint and the person claiming to be the manager refused behind the bar first time this has ever happened.

Words cant describe how great this place is! The staff is lovely and if you want to have the best karaoke night go there with no hesitation! :)

Loved the atmosphere, the welcoming spirit and the people running the Hind. The food was alright, so were the prices. During the short visit in Leicester, I and a couple of friends from work have almost immediately became regulars there ;)

Not been in Lestah all that long, but Ive been drawn back to this fine atmospheric space over every many regime changes.New peops are really having a go at doing good food.I rarely leave this establishment without having been filled with fun.However, if you dont make the effort, then youll leave without any positivity - cmon make the effort, nothing to lose.
