Passatempo in Sionainn

The restaurant is very cramped. While the waiting staff are friendly and enthusiastic, it is difficult to communicate with them due to their English level. They seem to be overworked as well: serving, washing dishes and making the food. Unsurprisingly, they forgot my order and I was left waiting for a long time. When I finally got my meal, it was very small with little meat and veg. It was quite bland and the pasta was undercooked. Its quite expensive given the portion size and quality.

Terrible, Aglio consisted of bagged lidl salad a slice of bread buttered with oily butter not a hint of garlic. They also included 4 rings of a demi baguette dry with the order. Spicy sausage tagliatelle was a solid dry lump of pasta with a few pieces of fatty sausage in it. Never again

The food is delicious and the service is fantastic. I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting Ennis. The crab ravioli was awesome.

Great little Italian, where you can watch the world go by with a nice Expresso and some Tiramisu. Karla and Marco, the owners and both Italian and will look after you with great hospitality Italian style.

I used to see this restaurant whenever I pass from that street so today I went to this restaurant for lunch and have ordered arrabiata pasta.1. I found water smelly. They said its bcoz its tap water. But I drink tap water at home and my apartment is 2-3 mins distance from the restaurant.2. Pasta wasnt cooked properly3. Portion of the meal is really less for the price. I paid 10.5 Euro and I came out of restaurant hungryI wont recommend this restaurant.

Small & Cozy yet a taste of Italian cuisine is here hidden in Ennis. Will seat in total about 15 Indoors has no room for larger groups. The food is %110 delicious & for deserts I would highly recommend tiramisu OMG YUMMM

Visited for lunch today with 3 friends. Total disaster. Service atrocious and the food was overpriced and poor quality with tiny portions. My friends dinner was dropped as soon as it arrived to the table with no apology. Glasses were grubby, no ice and plastic bottle of water. Come on guys pick up the standard!!!s

Food is good original Italian made by Italians. Its a affordablecosy small restaurant. Booking essential in weekends. This is a no pizza Italian , pastas and salads , cured meats and cheeses are the main selection. Good for kids if they love pasta.

Good food,really happy, they bought few vegetarian options as well. Very neat and friendly staff.

Passatempo is beautiful on a sunny day, it feels like youre sitting somewhere in the Mediterranean. Amazing food and super friendly staff. Very family friendly.

Great tasting Italian food ... reasonably priced...portions could be a little bigger!!!! But... maybe I need to eat less!!! Deserts to for, hot chocolate beautiful...what more can I say? Yes... limited seating so book before you visit

Food was ok. Selection of pickles in antipasti were just one type of olives, bruschetas were nice.I am yet to find a place that serves al dente pasta... even though I asked specifically. Fan on a wall make the table beside it very uncomfortable.

Lovely place, amazing food and very fun and friendly service. The nice lady recommended me her favourite dish (the green bean-pesto lasagnawhich is not something I would have ordered by myself but it was the tastiest thing I’ve had in Ireland yet (apologies to Irish fare!It’s a small space with a couple of tables outside as well so I recommend reservations if you want to dine at a popular time. Passatempo is down a narrow alley in a quieter part of this very charming town. If they opened a location where I live, I think I’d live there :-)

Awful place, about two table spoons of mince beef in the spag boll , not worth the money, cheap food lazy staff, garlic bread was awful, not italian .. avoid

I should have taken a picture before we started eating. We had some really tasty olives and ordered the prawn and spinach spaghetti. Absolutely delicious and the Pinot Grigio was spot on too. We will definitely be back to this spot. Very reminiscent of brasseries on mainland Europe.

I’m Italian, I have been leaving in Ireland for 3 years so far, traveled everywhere and this it the first authentic 100% excellent Italian food. Feels like home

Pasta wasnt great. It was a bit expensive for the pasta I got. The smoked salmon tagliatelle I ordered in 5 min got cold.... also the taste wasnt fabulous. I do not recommend this place to eat a nicely cooked pasta.

You must eat here. The food was simply amazing and the desserts were marvelous. Why are you wasting time, EAT HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the best!

Best hot chocolate in Ennis by miles. We also had desert, an amazing Nutella pie that was out of this world. Will be going out of my way to come back as soon as I can

Good service, good food set in a bizou atmosphere. I only had dessert & a Late hence only giving 4 stars. But i will return to try the pasta/ravoli as they looked delicious.

We were welcomed in and seated straight away. The restaurant is very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly efficient and helpful. We were given a basket of bread and some Parmesan cheese to nibble on while waiting for our starter. The bread was fresh and tasty. When the starter arrived it was presented nicely and was scrumptious. The main course was delicious!!! The prices are reasonable and affordable. I will be going back again!! Well worth a visit.

Best Italian dinner we ever had. My wife had Carbanera and I had mushroom lasagna followed up by terramisu. Small intimate dining room with excellent waiters. Don’t leave Ennis without stopping here.

I stoped in for tea and a scone just before closing on a rainy weekday evening in October. Service was very good as was the tea and scone.

Great selection of pasta and other light dishes. Pleasant wine and good service.
