Park complex offering a science museum with 4D movies, military planes, a mini-zoo & paddle boats.
Parque de las Ciencias Luis A. Ferré in San Juan
Description
Privilege
Im just giving it a 5 star because it looked cool next to the airport
Still some work to do, but It is wonderful
Beautiful hotel and museum. Now they need to reopen the tower.
Renovation. They should have flexible hours for family sharing due to the pandemic.
MoreAlthough closed because of the pandemic, this park when I visited it was very fun and really enjoyed it. If youre looking for fun education heres the place.
MoreI love this place. I miss it dearly... I hope they are able to open up soon. It has been closed after the hurricane María caused several damages to it. Renovations are ongoing... Please re-open soon. I was able to enter to a section a draw here today during a museum art workshop...
More2/14/2021 even when stay next door every day I ask to make sure it is Close do to when the storm hit damaged more then what they can fix its sad to see it from the outside.
MoreThe only reason why I rated it down the middle is because the place is not open and hasnt been for a long time. Months after Hurricane Maria, the park reopened and closed again due to low attendance. And it hasnt opened since. It kills me because that area has potential. It could be a full time tourist zone if the park had a partner park to work with... something like a water park. One would compliment the other. Plus you already have a hotel and casino, a mall and a couple of restaurants in the immediate area. Win-win. Hope they do something with it.
MoreThis is one part of beauty east coast,
Best park for a family day in Bayamón. The renovated Parque de las Ciencias is educational, fun and relax at the same time. It has exhibitions of space science, herpetology, art, antique cars and telecoms history. Theres a mini golf course, pedal boats and more.
MoreI love space so all the spacecraft models are great!! On Saturdays I take art classes there too.
MoreA couple of small museums around science related themes. Also an exhibition of pictures, parts, maps and information about the old train that used to go almost around the Island until 1950s. I dont really get the space travel theme publicity specially and sadly because the planetarium has not been working for some years now, but still a nice place to visit.
MoreIt is the only place of its kind un Puerto Rico . It is for young children and teens .It is a science and space park, It has old models of Nasa Rockets ,planes ,old cars ,stuffed animales ,and a small zoo.
MorePark is currently CLOSED... not sure when is going to be reopened. The property is beautiful! Only a temporary art gallery is opened.
Morewhen I was a kid I remember seen this as a inspiration to love science, space and animals. It was lost for some time and now its back I wonder how many kids it has inspired to till now.
MoreHorrible experience! We will never go back!!!
Awesome place. It’s currently CLOSED for repairs, though, and Google hasn’t adjusted the schedule.
MoreIf you happen to be traveling throughout Puerto Rico on vacation and want a little education about the islands past, I strongly recommend a days long visit to this science park in Bayamon. It provides many visual and artistic displays of its history. Theres paddle boating, a zoo, an ample display of antique cars, sport cars, even a steam train that used to circle the island and an abundant display of very tall NASA rockets, even a huey helicopter used in Vietnam by Puerto Rican soldiers drafted from the island to serve in combat in the U.S. armed forces (many of whom volunteered and gave the ultimate sacrifice alongside their mainland peers). Right next store is a shopping district, a Hyatt hotel and plenty of restaurants like the Olive Garden and many more well known eateries throughout the continental U.S. Enjoy the island and its people, after all, you are among the citizens of the United States.
MoreIts good but the whole facility open yet. Rocket ship still down. Need help from the government of Nassau
MoreExcellent events for families
After 8 months after the hurricane they are still half closed, it really did a number on the place. Half the park is closed. But my kids still had fun.
MoreAn excellent science park with real space rockets, the closest you can get in PR to a theme park. Great excibits and a rwalky nice day for a family visit. Dont miss the planetarium.
MoreVery nice. Youll learn lots of things, have fun in a safe place. Has a mini zoo too. I liked it very much.
MoreGreat place to take your kids to learn about science and local folclore. It was recently remodeled but it hasn’t open since hurricane Maria.
MoreThis is a great park with different attractions. Great for the entire family. Clean and well maintained. Highly recommend to visit. It takes several hours to do all. Prices are reasonable. Parking lot. Bayamon trolley is free and drop you off right at from entrance.
MoreStaff was nice, but they were quite possibly overstaffed, almost everything costs extra once inside. Slightly enjoyable, but certainly not as fun as it used to be. Overall not worth the money you pay for it.
MoreVery good place for the family. Very good customer service
Highly recommended! Super friendly and professional staff. Many things to do and see. Plan to spend the entire day here.
MoreVery nice place for the kids, food is pricey and simple. Also the line to get a bottle of water is the same as the food line and it could take you more than 15 minutes to get the water...it has happen to me couple times, trust me... a suggestion, they should have vending machines and also add healthier meals.
MoreMy family loved it and will come back soon, is clean and the people that work here know everything about the areas that they work.
MoreThis place is amazing with lots of activities for the kids and adults. Arcade, boats, small zoo, planetarium, Museums, and space rockets. It was a fantastic experience at the Parque de las Ciencias.
MoreAwesome place to do tourism
Great for families. Lots of shade. I love the prank pay phone outside the communications pavilion. Try it.
MoreA must! If your in Puerto Rico bring your family and friends. Lots to do. Regular admission $10. Discount for children and seniors. This park has scenic views indoor outdoor There is lots to do 4D movie, mini golf, bungee jumping, paddle boat, space museum etc. Right next to Casino and Hyatt hotel. Parking available $7.00. Great day date! Enjoy!
MoreGood place for a day trip w/ the kids. Mini golf, 4D and some other activities a little extra but worth it. Hilltop access only on weekends.
MoreNice place to have fun with the family
Great place to spend thae day with your family
It has been decades since I have gone to this park. Visited it with my son and had a good time. The park has a new multi-story parking. Arrived early on a sunday to avoid crowds and the suns heat. The "mini-zoo" does not have as many animals that it used to (most have died of old age, and have not been replaced). This is a nice park to take an elementary school kid who is exited about science. I recommend taking the nice and relaxing paddle boats.
MoreWe spent an enjoyable day here. Lots to do for kids, the pavilions are interesting. They do have special interest talks with demonstrations at the pavilions, so make sure you get a schedule.
MoreNice place, but employees, want leave before closing time, 20 minutes before closing the park, they dont leave people enter to the attractions, so bad!!!!😞
MoreNice place to spend a day with friends and family. Entrance cost is OK, but you have to pay for certain attractions once inside the park.
MoreIt was great, my son and I loved it
Ahora mismo no tengo fotos del lugar pero quede encantada. Loved it. What I loved most is when I was about to get in one of the rides, the man managing it, helped me because it was a bit hard for me. To this day I still think about that man and smile because that day he made me feel so great. I was able to go on the ride with his help. Give that man a raise
MoreIt was small with a few things to do. Definitely geared. Towards small children. Not as impressive as the museums in the USA but might be great for Puerto Rico.
MoreGreat place to visit, so many improvements done and you can really see it!
Its a family park with atractions more focused on education for kids. The boat ride its very entertaining but you will sweat a lot. The weather Its usually very hot. There are also birds, a Hipo, a bear and a few reptiles.
MoreThey just remodeled it and it looks beautiful! ! Great attractions for kids and I even enjoyed it and I didnt have kids with me.
MoreExcellent place to expend a day with your kids. They have a mini zoo, exhibitions and a artificial lake with paddle boats to rent. Very clean. The tours are currently on Spanish
MoreThe park has been remodeled and its really nice now. I posted some new pictures since the pics already here are old and make no justice to how the park looks now. Prices are low for the quality of the park and the have a new multilevel parking. They have pinchos and frituras and other nice things on the park. They have done a nice job with the park and its definitely worth to visit.
MoreVisited the park last week with my family. This was really fun. The price was right and they have a lot of things to do in the park. I spent multiple hours viewing everything. Knowing Spanish may be required to understand some things but overall for the price its a great time. Food was good too. And affordable as well.
