Amazing park with lots of outdoor art and different areas to visit, enjoyed the treetop trail and the art deco buildings. There is a mushroom exhibit at the bottom of the park in the meadows. Well worth a look around and to get out of the bustle of Porto.

Porto has a good number of parks. Serralves is a park, a museum and a space for culture and relaxation. It is a bit out of the way, but well worth the short bus ride. You can combine it with a visit to Foz, which you can walk in about 15 min from the park. They have a number of great events always happening, so make sure to check out beforehand, just in case you are interested in any of their particular offerings.

We enjoyed several hours just in the park section, gardens, farm and Tree Top Walk. We were there on a Monday and it was pleasantly quiet. We enjoyed an excellent lunch and buildings are all very clean and accessible.

Honestly pretty lackluster for me. The grounds were just ok. The water feature was really dirty.. not a lot of plants or anything to look at. And super over priced to get in. We stayed for maybe 20 minutes and left. Would skip this, especially if youre in a time crunch.

Wonderful gardens and a very nice chilled atmosphereSome of the exhibits were a bit oooookkkk but still well worth a look. Couple of interactive installations that were fun too. All in worth a visit. Be sure to set by enough time there is a lot to cover. Took us the best part of the day to see it all.

Beautiful setting, but even more than that, theres an outstanding Miro exhibit in the mansion and theres very little PR around that - I mean even at the Serralves core contemporary art museum, they didnt promote the Miro exhibit, which boggles my mind. So dont skip the mansion and definitely do the tree-top walk. Also right now they light the park with light sculptures at night - while I didnt get to see that, it looked great.

Walking about 15-20 minutes from the coast, there’s only one entrance in the northwest corner of the park. When you walk through the gate, signs will direct you where to get tickets. (And you’ll need a ticket.)12€ gets you into the modern art museum and one other attraction. 20€ let’s you explore the entire park, including the Art Deco casa, the treetop walk, trails, gardens, and sculpture garden. With the exception of the museum, cinema house, and one other gallery by the farm, everything is seen from the outside. There’s free Wi-Fi throughout. You’ll need to log in each time you access it.I spent three hours here and felt like I experienced it all.

Seralves Parque is a really nice place to walk around after visiting Seralves Museum. Make sure to buy full entrance ticket (20 eurosas it allows to enter the park. Moreover, there is Joan Miro museum in the middle of the park.Treetop walk is also nice activity in the Seralves Park. Make sure to take some jacket with you, because its quite chilling in the park even in the middle of August.

Tricky to review. The park and grounds are great- they are the reason this gets 3 stars. The museums were disappointing especially for the price. Taste is subjective but none of the shows impressed me (not even the Miro, who I usually loveand I see tons of modern art. The layout of the museum was inconvenient and if there is a permanent collection (sort of implied by the advertising), only a tiny portion of it is on display. I expected a lot more from the Casa de Serralves, but you dont get a sense at all of what it was like in the past, again disappointing that no effort went in to displaying the house although it touts itself as architecturally important. This entire place seemed like a missed opportunity given the wonderful setting. There are some good modern sculptures on the park grounds, but they need to be better maintained, it was a bit jarring to see an Anish Kapoor covered in so much dirt. It would be great if there were more entrances to the park, and maybe the grounds should be free of charge. If I visited again I would have skipped both the museums- I recommend researching the exhibitions and making sure you are interested in them before going (the good news is that they will change periodically). I didnt go to the cinema, but the show looked interesting.

The nightly light and music show is stunning, but it was utterly spoilt by the airplanes coming and going to the airport. We got in at 21:40 and got out of the park at 23:20. During our stay 19 planes flew over the show, that is one flying machine every five minutes. Unbearable and unenjoyable.

I cannot belive they have charged me 20 euro to visit a part of forest 😅. If you have not seen any garden in your life, then you can visit it otherwise you wont accept this weird collection as a garden, art place, museum, cinema ....No sign to find the way, you should wait for a miracle to find the places.buildings are just a box with walls for separation, without any art in construction or decoration. The paintings are from a 4 year-old child maybe, any line and shape is not art!!!The reception are helpful until selling tickets, afterward they wont help and are sorry 😐I am sure if you have a garden, a museum, a historical building, even a normal cinema in your city, will ask yourself when you enter the "garden", what am I supposed to visit exactly!!!!😳😐

Parque de Serralves is a beautiful green space in Northwest Porto. Within the park is the contemporary art museum as well as an art Nouveau house and a Japanese inspired tea house. There is outdoor artwork, some pieces that are very large. And there is a wooden walkway through the tree tops. And at the entrance a free standing gift shop. It is a nice place to walk after visiting the museum. Unfortunately no picnics or picnic baskets allowed. I was there recently to see a jazz festival.

The entry to park is through ticket. As a concept it is good with lot of art work. The oak treehouse casted in Brazil is an excellent masterpiece. However, herb garden needed maintenance. The display of names for herbs, vegetables, flowers was missing. Mushroom section was informative and with good work. The main attraction is tree top level walk. It is interesting.

At first we thought 20 euro is a bit much for the tickets, but it is worth it. The park has an impressive size, is very relaxing and divers. For me personally were the galleries and Museums the most exciting part. I did not expect such a big Miro exhibition. The temporary art galleries were truly fascinating. We even got two big posters of one of the artists as a gift.If you plan to visit, you can spend a whole day here.

Park is really nice. Nature is a luxury in the city and this place provides a perfect escape on a Sunday. We stayed there for the whole day.Ticket is 20 euro includes the museum and garden. We enjoyed the tree walk in particular. The museum is more for fans of modern art and they have a bar and restaurant.

This park requires you to get tickets before entry. You can either get access to the park only for 12 euro or together with the museum for 20.The museum has an exposition for modern art at the moment, Im not a fan, but if youre into that it might be worth it.In the park theres a path through the trees possible in a high platform which, although not very long, is worth the experience. There are various gardens and other areas to visit in the park itself which makes it a nice area to walk around in.

It is perfect for family or group of friends to visit.5. The park is so big with many divisions. All is worth-visiting.6. The staffs are friendly and nice.7. The covid19 protocol is still applied well there.8. Free wifi accessible in certain area.9. Free restroom for all visitors (wheelchair accessible too).10. The tree top walk is wonderful.

A must see! Pay 20€ to visit everything for sure! The art deco house is cool but the true attraction is the grounds/gardens! We walked around the entire park for a couple hours - lots of little separate gardens and even a farm with really cute sheep and donkeys. The treetop walk was really peaceful too. Visited mid day on a Wednesday and was not crowded at all.

Quite expensive museum in Porto. There is no nearby metro station so you will need to go by car or bus. It is a little confusing when you enter. You need to walk to the main museum building to purchase tickets before going into the gardens. You can purchase a 20 euro ticket that includes entrance to the whole museum. There is a nice little cafe on the bottom floor and there is a restaurant on the upper floor. I would skip the paying for the inside museum, the exhibitions were not noteworthy. Also, they have so many security guards that I felt like a criminal, being watched and followed. I couldn’t really enjoy the art. The gardens were very lovely and it was nice to explore all of the spaces. I would visit again but stay outdoors.

Very nice place, usually with both outdoor and inside expositions. Have visited some expositions that were a bit disappointing but usually it is a good experience. The garden lights on summer and fall 2021 was quite beautiful. During the day there are places to have a drink in the park that are quite nice while not very inexpensive. Only negative aspect about the place is the library operation timetable.

Nice park if you have nothing to do in Porto. For me - l just wanted to see the big spider, which is great. Other things were wird, they didnt have any explanation what they mean, so they just looked like stuff that dont belong there...

Hands down highlight of Porto! I loved spending the afternoon here, there was so much to enjoy. The art is 😘, the grounds and gardens are wonderfully maintained without being over-manicured, there are treats and delights throughout (a farm!! tucked away sculptures!!and I would recommend it as a way to treat your senses, stretch your legs and generally get away from the crowds. Tip: if you travelled by train you get a discount on admission by presenting your ticket. I got 25% off.

I really liked the museum, its current exhibitions and permanent collection of famous artists. And the beauty of course is the park with hidden art installations inside. Also take a break by relaxing in the tea house. They don’t have a variety of drinks and food, but good for having a coffee. The only thing is that they didn’t let me out from the south exit, though the door was open and I just could get out directly to the street and take my bus. The security told me to go all the way back to main entrance. I really find it stupid. Maybe they just want you to path by the museum shop 🤷‍♀️

The museum is cool but the gardens are a hidden treasure in the middle of Porto, you can see from the photos, water, flowers, animals, the oldest olive tree in the world and art... You have it all! Its one of today places you need to go if youre in Porto or close to Porto!

I found this place a very bucolic and natural relaxing space. The way all the nature and the access to is being displayed just delivers a unique sensation of peace and instant conection with our roots. Unfortunately I could not access the museum since the prices are not necessarily accesible, and I preferred prioritizing the nature option rather than the Museums, however Ive very good opinion about them.

We went on the first Sunday of the month, when admission is free. For that price, it was great. The museum is OK; I failed to find much of a thread to tie the works together, but then we didnt spend much time in there. The park, however, is spectacular. The organisation flows seamlessly from the clean lines of the modern house to the rustic architecture of the farm, with beautiful old trees throughout the park. Its a perfect place to spend a hot day.
