Calle 60 y 45, Zona Paseo Montejo, Centro, 97000 Mérida, Yuc., Mexico, Izamal
City square with benches, shade trees, nearby food vendors & views of a nearby historic church.
Ive been here probably 10 times, and the food and juices are excellent, but quite overpriced for what is essentially street food. I also sometimes consider not going back, just because the vendors are unbelievably overbearing about getting you to eat at their stand, and about where youre allowed or not allowed to sit. Super annoying.
Its a small place, but its nice; the market is closed to the park, therere a few cafe shops near.
beautiful market square...nice shops and local eateries...the dragon fruit juice drinks r fabulous...local food abundant
The church is nice, but other than that theres many food stalls and theyre pretty good, the stalls could be a bit agreesive while trying to pick theirs and not the others but all of them seem to be pretty good, if you dont find parking space just drive around the block
Lots of places to eat
Is a park where you can eat typical food of Yucatan such as Cochinita pibil, panuchos, salbuts, sopa de lima and also enjoy of fresh natural juices. Some times of the year, on the weekends, this park is used as a place to sell handcrafts and other stuff from Yucatan.
The park is cute with some great food nearby. Ive been at this park at least 20 times and Ive never had a bad experience. Its also really close to a lot of points of interest in the center of Merida.
The food is pretty expensive!!!!!
Good place to have a Cochinita taco or torta
My favorite park in centro. Very relaxed. Has food vendors.
Beautiful scenery, clean, love those kissing chairs!
Usually nice and quiet. Theres a decent amount of eating options around the park
Pretty high price around street restaurant.not that good. recommend Fruit juice really goodthat’s it
Beautiful parc dont go during the day it is too hot go early morning or after 6pm
Beautiful city, enjoyed seeing it.
Taqueria La Socorrito is a hidden gem! The ponochos and tostadas we ordered were delicious. It did take more than usual to get the food after we ordered but it was worth the wait. I also recommend the Cancun mixed juice from the juice shop next door it was tasty and refreshing.
I love the business of the square, the locals will remember visitors and if they see you again, will treat you like an old friend.
Good food stalls well above average. Decent free wifi...lots of cops patrolling, makes it safe, but not too cool to drink a cold beer. Church is beautiful.
Adorable little park with a great mercado and excellent food!
Good area with lots of restaurants and cafes. Nice place to sit and relax, eat, etc... Cafe del Sol for breakfast, The Mercado for lunch and dinner. Close to Paseo de Montego, Santa Lucia. Good park
A nice spot to visit when you are walking around down town
A cleaner place for a relaxing afternoon and a great taste of the regional food and crafts, also love to witness the waiters battle for customers (I was there).
Nice park with good food and atmosphere for anytime of day.
Nice little park with a beautiful church next to it
Wonderful place to sit and people watch. A food court is at one end with fruit juices, tacos, and other small plate yummies!
Nice place with cheap food. Not the most beautiful place in the city though
Delicious food and nice shade to enjoy our meal. Good service. Affordable.
Real cool little park with some old churches and a little market spot sometimes
Best bang for your buck food wise in town. You can try any local meal from the surrounding areas of Merida. Getting their early is recomienden for fresher food
Value for money, great location, good food. A good alternative if you want to save on eating out or just taste great local mexican food. Paseo Montejo is just around the corner.
Cute little park. Perfect for a early morning strawl + a fresh squeezed orange juice!
Love this park. New fresh look at the market this year. Everything you need.is.here in Santiago
Nice little spot in city center. There are a bunch of eateries on one side of the park in a shaded area
We had breakfast at the Mercado Santa Ana. Typical Mexican food for a good price. We really recommend to go there for food.
Nice park, but AVOID the food market. Its a tourist TRAP. Food is barely decent but very expensive (twice as much as LA CHAYA MAYA. Hustlers trying to to sit at their restaurant. I felt ripped off.
Excellent place with delicious food
The place is very difficult for walk for older people or persons with some discapacity. The place not clean for selling food and the food very disappointed. Too many better places for enjoy good yucatecan food like Santiago, La Susana Internacional...
This is one of those parks that you must go to. It’s one of the most beautiful squares line with wonderful restaurants. The architecture is stunning. You often find a musician or a performer there.
Lots of fun if you pick Tuesday nights. . Live entertainment and dancing. A great way to spend an even n 20:30 to 22 hrs. Live like a local for a few hours dancing or enjoy watching others that dance. A highly recommended activity... Its free!!
Typical neighborhood park adjacent to historic cathedral. There’s a little bandstand for dance and music performances, lots of benches. Marquesita vendors proliferate on holiday evenings. There are loncherías and produce stands in the Santa Ana Market next door.If you are walking around the historic center, remember it as a sleepy square, perfect for a snack or water stop between the Plaza Grande and a stroll on the wide, shaded sidewalks of the Paseo de Montejo.
Beautiful church and park. Sundays do not have food vendors.
Cool spot just a brief stroll from paseo Montejo. Quite a few vendors with their artisanal wares. Right by it is a "food court" of all things traditional Yucatan. The whole place did not make me feel like it was a tourist trap.
This open park is very clean, safe, and spacious. The fresh market Inside the building (behind the umbrella covered restaurants is one of my favorites in Mérida. Small and friendly.
Great market inside the building. Fruits, veggies, meats, flowers.Plus, an impressive altar to the Virgin of Guadalupe.
If you wanna try tasty and cheaper local food out of the restaurants, this is the right place, youll find many options to eat. I love it since they have service very early in the morning and late at night (only some locals).
Santa Ana is a great place to have a quick meal. Good Yucatecan food, tacos de Lechon o de Cochinita are the very traditional from Yucatan and Mercado Santa Ana are good and economic! Good!
Nice Park South of the main Centro. Cool church, food stalls, surrounded by galleries and home of the Wednesday night bike ride.
small but happening. Lots of placed to have a bite to eat or one of the local fruit juices. In back are numerous stands selling chicken, eggs, pork and several stands selling fresh fruit and veggies. We go often and enjoy the shopping and the atmosphere.
Loved this place, good people watching, waiters "encouraging" you to their stand. Marys stand is the goods. Cocinita pibil and the flautas are exceptional.
Santa Ana park is a great place to hang out and people watch. The food stands make excellent salbutes, panuchos and other regional specialties. Try the refrescos, the natural juice drinks, and dont fear the ice, which is made from purified water, but stay away from the bowls of hot sauce on the table, as they have been known to do violence to the digestive systems of the uninitiated. Behind the food stands is a small market worth seeing.
