Parque Natural da Arrábida in Coimbra
Description
Privilege
Absolutely incredible! Whether you go by a trail and get to the top safe or get lost in the woods, youll have the most wonderful time of your life. 100% recommend and would do it again. I also recommend going with friends, takes the experience to the next level...literally
MoreThe view is priceless. No doubt one of the 7 wonders of the natural world
Peaceful, unique, piece of nature.Wild beaches.Suitable for trekking, beach, snorkeling or diving, fishing or submarine activities (octopus and small wild fishes.Nice seafood restaurants, sometimes hard to park.No accessibility to the beach. No concessions with chairs or sun umbrellas.
MoreIt is beautiful of course. Lovely beaches and trees. Nice roads. However, we didnt manage to do any particular walking because of the off-putting info on the internet. Lots of people complain that paths are either overgrown with brambles and you risk catching ticks OR run mostly along the roads which is no fun. There is a surprising lack of designated paths if you check the official list of path on the website of the municipality of Setúbal. I know places in Portugal which are much smaller in terms of the overall area with more paths. The municipality of Setúbal needs to up their game and make it a more attractive and safe place to walk. Create more circular paths which could also run across the lovely vineyards so people can appreciate the beauty of this countryside.
MoreAlways a wonder. Ive lived near this landscape all my life and it never gets old no matter how many times you come here.
MoreNice place for a quick stop.
A taste of Paradise in Portugal…. Fresh nature and endless sunsets!!! A must visit
MoreFirst time I went this summer there and was wahoo ✌️😍
Lovely park and great place to take pictures, go for a long trail walk and just spend your day! Make sure to bring good shoes with you as youll need it!
MoreStunning park in Setubal! Such a massive park you need a few hours to walk the trails and visit. The beaches around Setubal are spectacular! Feels like youre going down south on vacation. The water is clear, not many waves, and the sand is nice and clean!
MoreAmazing, out of the way (hiddenbeaches in Portugal! A must see if you’re there on vacation! ❤️
MoreStunning beach and cliff jumps
An incredible place with amazing coastal views and beaches. Not swimming beaches as the water is rather cold.
MoreAmazing charter, they were so knowledgeable!
We had a great time at arrabida national park. The meeting point with "Day dream..." was a little hard to find but we found it. Be sure to arrange your transportation back because it was really hard to find UBER or Bolt services from Sesimbra. The guide was really kind & overall was really fun.
MoreA beautiful place to hike or do trail runs. There are both hilly and flat paths. It is a great park to explore and some of the views are incredible.
MoreA fantastically beautiful place. Galapos beach, sorry if misspelt is stunning! And its an hour away from Lisbon. Driving along the mountain road to the top as great views and places to stop and look. The place looks like Monaco, well worth a visit.
MoreThe place is great but the trails are not maintained properly and ate really bushy and in disarray in some places. The cliff part is not properly signaled and proper warning should be in place. Natural diversity of plants is great, not many birds though.
MorePortugal packs a powerful punch in an small package...There are many Natural parks to enjoy through out the country...Close to Lisboa...From the top to the coast, many trails to hike, places to explore...A Real Gem! Resident Cowboy and supporter of the economy of Portugal since 2016...
MoreUnique sites and deserves a visit from Cabo Espichel to Setubal, ideal for a holiday in Portugal.
MoreInfrastructure and access well prepared to receive all kinds of transportation
Stunning range of rugged steeply forested peaks that fall away to beautiful white sand beaches and azure ocean.....lovely secluded villages like Portinho are a joy for lunch, and pathways will give you breathtaking views of the many bays.
MoreAmazing views!!! You can get some lovely drone shots here when it’s less windy!
MoreWonderful and peacefull place to visit
Beautiful and amazing view! Definitely one of the place you shouldnt miss. Also cool to go here with your motorcycle 😉
MoreBeautiful drive down through the natural park on the way to Comporta from Lisbon. Unmatched coastal views! Definitely worth the detour if you have time.
MoreLovely place to go for a hiking, just make sure you go when the sun is not so hot. It has one of the best views from the south of Lisbon.
MoreArrabida trails..or Pans labirinth, easy to enter, hard to find a way out.
My favourite place in Portugal. Beautiful landscapes and peaceful surroundings. Amazing beaches as well, some of the best in the world on my opinion. But beware that the water is a bit on the cold side.I ride my motorbike to chill and this area is a must to relax and enjoy the scenery. You can even see the Tróia peninsula in the other side of Sado.Just outside of this place you have Setúbal which is a lovely city with amazing fish restaurants. And dont forget to try the traditional fried cuttlefish (I recommend Santiago restaurantand the famous pastel de nata or Azeitão rolls (tartes de Azeitão).
MoreAmazing views from high cliffs on open ocean. Too much trash, very sad. Nobody takes care of park, nobody cleans it, or keeps trails in shape. Nature takes over since not too many people like to walk in nature here, so trails and often hard to pass (bushes with thorns leave slight space to go through).
MoreA must. Views, restaurants in to of the water.Amazing motorcycle roads.
Great place to spend the day. Easy access from Lisbonne. Train from Lisbone to Sebutal. Took a Uber to get to galapos Beach and from there did a trek on the diferentes beaches along the day. The water is really nice. Lots of Stand up paddle renting place.
MoreOne of the wonders of the world ❤️ The Douro Valley has its vines, Sintra has its castles and the Algarve has its coastline but in the dramatic Arrábida Natural Park on the Setúbal Peninsula, just a stones throw from Lisbon, youll find all that, along with an abundant harvest from both sea and land, and as yet, its virtually undiscovered.
MoreWonderful beach with clear water and stunning views. No amenities so take all you need with you. Its an unsupervised beach with no lifeguards and the access to the beach is through a dirt track, very steep and definitely only for people with full mobility and good general health. You need to jump, climb, pull yourself holding onto branches and rocks. I normally walk about 12 miles a day and am in good health and found it difficult to get down to it. Coming back up was surprisingly a bit easier. Also no signage and one can easily get lost wondering around the dense scrub vegetation. To me it was well worth it though, its very beautiful. You can get there by taxi boat from Sesimbras harbor too.
MoreOne of the most extraordinary places on the planet! A paradise beach called Praia da Ribeira do Cavalo, on the coast of Sesimbra, surrounded by all wonders of pure nature. A wishlist ToDo! Visit Portugal
MoreSuch a beautiful park. Went caving and rock climbing and totally loved it
Beautiful area of natural beauty, right outside Lisbon and Setúbal. Had a hire car which is essential to really get around. Basically there’s a high road and a low road, the high one has sweeping views at every turn and offers nice lay-bys in which you can stop and take pictures. The low road takes you along the small cliff past the variety of beaches that line the shore. A nice excursion from the city if you have the transport.
MoreBeautiful lake behind huge sandy beach. Safe shallow water at the lake, lots of paddlers and canoers. Lovely sand. Other side of the beach is the ocean with surfing and windsurfing going on. Cafe/bar, showers and toilets. Plenty of parking.
MoreAmazing beach, very clear water.it takes a 20min walking to get there. There are boats in Sesimbra taking tourists to Ribeira do Cavalo beach.Take your own food, otherwise youll get hungry. Theres nothing selling to eat. They do have mini boats to rent
MoreBeautiful park with the most amazing beaches of Portugal. The water is clear and the sand is gold.. They dont want cars in the area, so theres a free shuttle bus to the three smaller beaches. Its easiest to just take the bus from Setúbal.
MoreNice climb. Beautiful scenery. After every step you take, you want to stop again and take in the view because if the beauty of it.
MoreBeautiful park, pretty drive. Nice beaches, but a bit of a walk to get there. Small town Portinho has a few great places to get fresh fish, though you might have to order in Portuguese in some of them.
MoreWhat isnt there to like about this ?Nice views, blue water and good places to walk. Just nature, and after a nice day you can stop in setubal to have some nice food. Many options
MoreAmazing place for hiking, cycling, walking, no smoking allowed in all park section,
MoreGreat landscape. Very good place to do some trekking or trail running.
What a wonderful area!Golden tip: take a rental car and just drive around on the beautiful roads in this area, there is a magnificent coastline road.More towards Lissabon itself you’ll find huge forests. Not really considered as a parc though because it is just a nature area.Possibly by hiking as well ofcourse, but equally beautiful by car.
MoreUnspoilt, unique, authentic. This is not to miss if you visit Portugal. The colour of the water is a turquoise that you’d only expect in the Mediterranean Sea, such enchanting views as you drive or walk along the coast.
MoreThe beauty of the landscape and sights makes it an ideal place to escape from daily busy life. You can grab your car, bike, by foot and take a walk by the nature. There are beaches to enjoy as also nature trails to discover.
MoreThis Natural Park is a unique place in Portugal. The landscape is beautiful and gorgeous beaches. If you get lucky you can see some wild animals.
MoreSesimbra is nearled in the heart of this national park. The whole eco system is protected, hence no fishing inside buoys due to monitored fish feeding grounds. Outstanding clean beaches dotted along this coastline, the better onea you have to put some effort into getting to but the effort is justly rewarded. Take diving, fishing or kayaking amongst other activities in this region you even get to see thw dolphins.
