Amazing, just I wanna say is amazing.
I loved lencois Maranhenses. This time I decided to visit Delta do Parnaiba e Lencois Maranhenses. I flew with Azul Linhas aereas to Parnaiba airport. Parnaiba is a city located between Piaui and Maranhao state coast. In Parnaiba, I went to Parnaiba Delta, and then I went and in the following day i went to Barreirinhas, 180km away from Parnaiba. In Barreirinhas, I went to visit Lencois Maranhenses National Park.
Must visit in Brasil, located at north east of brasil. Stop at sao luis and there will be many tours to this place! It was amazing
Vormir the middle of the celestial existance, hidding place of soulstone.
A must visit, wonderful!
A must see in the bucket list. Infinite number of lagos, amazing tours and the possibility to kite surf in a lagoon or go through the desert with an ATV
Paradise on earth. Innumerable sweet water natural pools embedded in sumptuous fine sand hills, that invite to tumble down landing softly into the tempered refreshing lakes. Wonderful and peaceful, especially at sundown. Professional, kind and attentive guided tours. Suggest to start visit and explorations in Atins, then Barrerinhas and finally Santo Amaro to get maximum of voyages/dislocations. Surely want to experience again in the future.

Terrific place. Must visit. Hot. Spectacular views.
Amazing scenery and wonderful warm clear water. Take a tour starting in Santo Amaro.
Very beautiful and unique place. It is almost like being transported to another planet. I highly recommend the visit to the park and spend a day walking over the dunes and taking a dive in the natural lagoons that are formed by the rain.
Just go here, its just great. The feeling of a dessert, but also water and animals everywhere, even fish in the ponds. Weve done the 4x4 tour, and really liked it, was like a roller-coaster and sometimes vehicles got stuck in sand or water, it was fun!
The Lençóis Maranhenses is a beautiful natural paradise located in Brazil right in the heart of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, in the Brazilian state of Maranhão. It is known for its infinite span of white sand dunes and small lagoons of rainwater that change shape, depending on the direction of wind.
This oasis is located in Maranhão state of Brazil, and has been designated a national park by the government. Lying just outside the Amazon Basin, the region receives abundant rainfall at the beginning of the year, leading to the formation of beautiful lagoons of various hues. The region is home to the Caeté Indian people and is a major tourist attraction.
The Lençóis Maranhenses National Park is a Brazilian nature conservation site. It is a comprehensive protected area located in the northeast region of the state of Maranhão. Is very very very beautiful 😻 recomendado conocerlo mis panas saludos de un Ecuatoriano por el mundo 🗺
Wonderful place. Unique in the World.

Absolutely beautiful location - a desert of fine white sand, turquoise crystal clear pools, the shapes and shadows of the rolling dunes.
One of the most beautiful places Ive ever seen! Words cannot describe how breathtaking this place is.Advice:- there and back takes 3 hours total.- bring a hat (there is no shade)- wear flip flops, not shoes- the sand is really soft and gets everywhere, so bring spare underwear ;)

Too beautiful a place to describe. One has to visit this place to feel the beauty.
One of the best places ever seen in my whole life. I went there through the agency sao paulo ecoturismo and they brought us to different laggons. I simply loved it !
I had no idea that something so amazing existed on this planet. By all means, find a way to include this location on your trip to Brazil!! There are various tours that will allow you access to the park by boat, truck, and airplane. I did all three, but I think being able to see the park by air really lets you grasp how vast this area is.
Must visit in Brasil. Enjoyed so much. 4x4 to and flo is also a very good experience especially taking the boat ride cross the river.Sky was full of star in 4x4 on way back. The hot coxinha bought at the tiny shop at boat jetty on way back was a surprise. Best coxinha i ate in Brazil so far.
By far this has been the most beautiful & breathtaking place I’ve visited in Brazil. Untouched by man, nature is perfect... and this oasis is a prime example of that. Truly a spectacle, with multiple clear lagoons and white sand dunes. A bucket list must!
One of my favorite Natural parks that I ever been. It’s amazing
Absolutely stunning. You’ve likely seen pictures via social media and national geo magazines - we can confirm it is everything you expect and more. One tip would be to forgo the individual half-day tours and find a guide who will take you hiking within the park. We paid 600 R$ for two in order to visit Lagoa Azul and hike 10 miles within the park to Lagoa Bonita. There were plenty of rest stops in between and we had the dunes and lesser known lagoons all to ourselves. We were shocked no one else followed or was seen in 4 hours. A dessert playground all to ourselves. It does get hot, so bring plenty of sunscreen, water and snacks.
One of the most beautiful place in the world !
I guess one picture is enough to describe this unforgettable experience, rather than a lengthy description. Paradise on Earth.
Exceptional landscapes ! Would love to go back , really impressive during the month of September , and very empty too at this time. Best is to take a private tour around the mains Lagunas. Ill remember it for my whole life !
Take your transfer, plan a 3 days tour there, start from Barreirinhas or Atins, you will enjoy for sure this amazing God present!
Its an incredibile place that everybody should visit once in life
It one if the best hike I ever made, everything was wonderful. The park give you landscape that takes your breath away everytime . Do the two day hike totaly worth it !!!!
The best place Ive ever met!!! Beautiful, amazing!!! Unique in the world!!!
Breathtaking landscapes! To reach this place only with an experienced tour guide cause we cross many lagoons by car and there is a high risk of getting stuck in the mud.
An incredible place but surprisingly difficult to reach if you are on a budget and do not speak any Portuguese.Your best bet is to contact a local Pousada such as Pousada Paraíso dos Lençóis and ask them to sort the tour etc for you. Realistically, you need to spend a couple of nights and cop a pretty unpleasant bus ride to and from Sao Luis.
One of the wonders of Mother Nature. Do not miss it if you have the opportunity to go there! Best period is between June and September
The place is beautiful but the entire experience will depend on the tour guide taking you. The best time of the year to visit is July / August. I visited it in January and all the natural lagoons were dry.
We did the Lagoa Bonita trip as its one of few that still has water at this time of year. Phenomenal views of the dunes and sunset. The only possible negative is that the trail to get up to the dunes is extremely challenging for older people. But our guide was very attentive and helped my mother in law get to the top.
6 stars for this wonderful, unique place on this planet. I recommend to do a 2 days trip into the deserto. Stay in an oásis, sleep in a hammock, enjoy the stars, the tranquilidade, the sunrise and sunset, the hike, the loneliness, the swimming in the lagoas... It is just magic. And please: take care of this unique place! You will geht back to real life with a BIG SMILE!
Wonderful place. Amazing landscape
This is one of those lifetime trips that you MUST take. Stunned by the beauty and expanse of this unique park. Sands as white as you can imagine, lakes that starkly reflect the sun. Highly recommend booking a sobrevoo (flight overwith a local travel agency. Go in July to get the best view of the lakes full of water.
Amazed by the beauty of those dunes. You really should visit this place on the beginning of the Brazilian winter (the end of May or June). The water in the lakes are way more brighter than in the end of August
Wow! Beautiful place. No words to describe.
