Parque Ecológico Zacango in Toluca

Always a treat taking the kids here. The surrounding area continues to stay trashy and the parking lot has been neglected for years. First time ridding the paddle boat... seems to me that the operators are not concerned about kids wearing safety gear.

This zoo has a lot of animals and other interesting activities like a train, playgrounds, and food.

A remarkable zoo. We visit a zoo when ever we can in a new city and this one has topped all the others we have seen to date. The animal activity is healthy and fun. The zoo is large and clean. We enjoyed the aquarium exhibit with the video footage showing animals in their true habitat instead of a glass water bowl. The elephants and rhinos were active and fun, the camel also. We almost witnessed the birth of a Buffalo cow but they said the process could take 14 hours.. but we saw the labor and the start. The savanna was large and the animals seemed very content.Definitely a worthwhile day. Very enjoyable and a beautiful park

Great place amazing zoo

The zoo is located outside Toluca city, about half an hour drive from Toluca city. The zoo is maintained clean. There is not much crowd, its located in calm and serene ambience. Inside the zoo, you can walk or take a mini Train to see around the zoo. Entrance ticket is 50Pesos for adults. There are many public toilets and eating outlets inside the zoo.

A great Zoo to visit and very close to Toluca (Metepec Areaand also close to Mexico City. This is a place to enjoy a weekend with your family and friends. Really affordable and a place to spend hours and hours without getting tired.

Nice place with a variety of animals however the cages are extremely small and various animals seemed very stressed. Not the best experience.

Its a great zoo, very cheap and joy for all family. And extra claps for their covid measures!!

If you are close to Toluca, this is a good place to go and visit. You dont need all day for this, if you get there by 12:00 youll be able to see everything by the time they close. Entrance fee is very reasonable but parking lot is a bit expensive in my opinion (almost as much as an entrance ticketoverall, its a good place!

Nice zoo, clean and safe

Is a cool zoo to visit.I witness how the person checking the tickets at the entrance asked a family to go for a refund as their son with a disability shouldnt have paid a ticket at they go in for free. Anyone else would have kept silent as many do.We had a fun day.The only negative was that there were many exhibits closed or missing animals and/or their corresponding explanation sheet displayed.

A wonderful zoo great for a vigorous walk or a long stay. Also, they have several conservation programs. A lot of options to eat inside the zoo and close by

Its a very nice place to spend the day.Entrance and parking are cheap.You can get plenty of stuff inside the zoo, and prices are reasonable from $20 to $70. Everything is around $30 per person. Except "tirolesa" and boats the lake that are $70 and $80.There is plenty to eat, and some places take credit and debit cards.

Great zoo, lots of different animal species. The infrastructure is really in good shape.Good care of animals and they seem happy. They recently are renovating some areas.

A big and nicely maintained zoo your kids will love. Theres no access to animal cages in general but its varied sections will certainly entertain a curious mind. However bird cages and maybe another sections will make you feel inside their natural nitche. Enlightening!

Dirty, animals are not properly cared, they look miserable... Bathrooms are not well maintained

Great zoo with up close encounters with the animals. Very nicely built and varying species. Only problem is that it is too small. Would love to see more!
