Landscaped park with many walkways, a circular fountain & a climbing tower, plus weekend activities.
Parque Bolivar in Tarabuco
Description
Privilege
Lots of garbage thrown on the ground. Spikes are put on all plants and bushes so you can’t walk your dog here. Very strange upkeep for a place considered a park.
MoreNice for couples or kids. Nothing fancy but nice scenery!
Decent
Good relaxing place to be
This is a very beautiful place to visit.
Super!
It is a place where you and your can have a really good time. You should go on saturday or sunday.
MoreGreat place for families. Many activities and stalls for children. Not enough grass to lay down and chill.
MoreBeautiful park, good place to relax, read, or even exercise.
Nice place to sit down and grab a book
Nice place, a lot of good scenery for pictures, cleaning in some areas could be improved.
MoreA nice green area for walking or relaxing at a park bench. Right next to the park is a dinosaur themed playground for kids. There is also a small sort of Eiffel Tower that you can sometimes climb up and use as a look out. Use at own risk. Sometimes its closed for safety reasons.
MoreIts really the only park of a decent size in Sucre, and thankfully it is nice. Lots of mature trees, grassy areas, and paths /ring road, that you can actually push a baby stroller on (a luxury in Sucre). It has childrens activities, the tower, and pedalos at the weekend. Sadly, quite a lot of trash, but even sadder this is quite normal in Bolivia.
MoreJust a little bit more cleaning and it would be just perfect.
Its a nice park to go for a relaxing stroll while in Sucre
Very nice but small park inside Sucre
Is a good place for tourists that visiting the city
Nice place to visit and look around, quiet and you can smell the nature and relax!
MoreA nice and peaceful place, if you like running or walking I recommend it 😉
Beautiful and landmark place to visit in Sucre...do not forget the most traditional and delicious cream icecream before you leave. Ask for "Helados del Parque"
MoreNice park to relax. Big trees and shade. It is very clean and locals stroll around. There are areas designated for kids. It is a good place to avoid the hassle and pollution of the city - even though it is such a nice place, Sucre. The Bolivian Eiffel Tower is installed here, another point not to miss it!
MoreI’d expect more parks in a city the size of Sucre, and the one park there is doesn’t make a lasting impression. Could be the wrong season or the absence of sunshine.
MoreThis park has huge trees and although it is all cement walking paths its a nice stroll for fresh air in the city. It also has a very nicely built playground for kids that is Dinosaur themed.
MoreCute and peaceful park, very green and relaxing
Great park that has really been cleaned up in Sucre.
Nice place to walk
Nice to walk around, big playground for kids as well
Nice place to walk and go with the family, is attractive during all the day, you can walk around and find good places to take an ice cream or just look beautiful buildings of the city
MoreBeautifull park, with a lot of place to walk and have a nice time. There are a lot of benchs. There are historic places near, like the Teatro Gran Mariscal Ayacucho where the constituent assembly met. There is also an small amusement park inside IIt, with a prehistoric theme.
MoreHuge parc,, best in town. Beautifull colonial surrounding.
Great place to visit on Xmas and New years too
Very nice park, the Eiffel tower etc. is beautifully lit up for Christmas so I would advise also visiting the park at night time!
MoreIts a beautiful, and quiet place to take a walk
A beautiful park in Sucre. Great to exercise, read or walk around. Theres also a large playground for kids of all ages. One can find lots of traditional and fast food choices nearby.
MoreNice place to relax and eat ice cream, many cute perros. Not to far away from the main plaza! Great dinosaur playground if you have kids. Felt very safe, there’s always police walking around. It’s also quite shady if you’re getting too hot!
MoreVery peaceful place. However it would be really better if the dancing waters show were everyday at least for 8 hours. And the mayor should remove those globes games that are bothering in the park
MoreBeautiful park with nice lights and fountain. Perfect for families with children
there is a metalic pink penis-shaped structure
Great park beautiful decor lot of locals always walking around so very nice safe for tourist. Restaurants are a little more pricey around here but if you walk a fee blocks away youll find cheaper options.
MoreWorth a visit for the history, mini Eiffel Tower and water fountain musical light shows.
MoreNot an entirely interesting place, the mini Effiel Tower is kind of entertaining to climb up.
MoreFood stalls near small park with a Effiel tower replica. Some times of the year there is paddle boats or horses or mini cars to drive for kids. GreatFamily place.
MoreNice experience and close to the market that sells miniature reproductions which is also very interesting.
MoreA relax and popular place for locals. There are some food stalls selling delicious snacks.
MoreReally nice place enjoyed by locals and tourists
I love the vibe of this park. Lots of trees, people bring their dogs, many park benches, food stands. On Sundays its packed but still a relaxing environment.
MoreBig park but lacking of ornaments. Not much to see and to do. Several benches to seat. The grass is not that furnished. Replica of the Eiffel Tower is not that great and a bit unsafe.
MoreIs some place where you can have a nice walk. There are many games and a place for children
MoreIn the middle of an otherwise hectic city, Parque Bolivar is a nice place to rest and re-focus. Throughout the park are large, mature trees and numerous benches. Manicured lawns and flowering plants are all well cared for, and the park is kept relatively clean. It is extensive (no, not like NYC Central Parkwith various sections. The SE end has vendors selling snacks and trinkets, and in the evenings it is a popular jogging/walking spot. On the weekends there are activities for children here. In the middle is a lookout tower referred to as the "Torre Eiffel", although tiny compared to its french namesake. At the NW end is a lovely circular garden with trestles and benches, focused on a large fountain. The fountain is only turned on at certain times, and not every day. But when it is on, it is quite beautiful and accompanied by music. The park is located right next to the childrens park (Parque Infantíland is an easy 10 to 15 minute walk from the central market (Mercado Centraland the main plaza (Plaza 25 de mayo). This park is a must see for a visitor to Sucre, and should be a habitual stop for locals.
MoreIts a great to place to go if you feel like relaxing, walking and having an ice cream (one of the bests ice creams youre going to trywhile you enjoy the surrounding area full of trees and gardens :)
