I am seriously considering moving to Weimar so I can enjoy this park everyday in all of its majesty
Green and fresh, fantastic place for recreation.
Beautiful place to walk, picnic and for the dogs.
Park an der Ilm has become one of my favourite parks! It holds beautiful cultural sights along with breathtaking trees and meadows. From hiking trails to a plain track, the park caters to everyones needs. You can also find directions/map frequently, in case you need to know your current location. The park also has a beautiful, soothing stream!Love going there for my daily strolls.
Best place to take a walk in all over Weimar. Glad that I live nearby. Makes it easy to enjoy nature.
Nice getway from the city noise but unfortunetally a lot of monuments were covered up so you couldn‘t see them.
Very nice and clean park with many historical landmarks.
Amazing place to share a walk with your loved ones ❤
Huge park, super nice!!!
Lovely huge park with different historically and culturally buildings to visit.
The Park, designed by the greatest German literary figure Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, is a green oasis along and through the town of Weimar. Goethes garden house, the Roman house, natural springs, the river Ilm, Villa Haar, overlooked by the famous Anna Amalia library and nestled next to the city castle, it is a refuge with countless, meandering paths with benches and lawns to throw down a blanket and relax. The bee museum at one end is a nice place to grab a coffee and learn something about bees. The Sternbrücke, crossing the river Ilm, has a lovely secret, leading you inside the bridge to sit for a spell. Cyclists, walkers, pets, tourists, fishermen even- there is a little something for everyone. An old cave can be accessed near the Russian cemetery as well. Definitely worth a visit!
This is just such a beautiful park in Weimar. You can really get the impression that you left Weimar and entered a completely different place. Absolutely stunning. Its perfect for nearly any outdoor activity and there are also several places to bathe in the Ilm.
Brilliant place for relaxing and sun bathing...
Just what a person must have in their life. A vast, all-natural, open expanse of green to walk, run, play or just sit and relax in. This park is massive and has enough room for everyone, and is the home of many birds and animals. It provides clear air that we all so much need. The river Ilm that passes through is also a refreshing spot to be at. Be sure to bring a few seeds or fruits to feed the ducks and swans!
This park is very big and beautiful!Perfect place for a picnic or a walk, spending time with friends or on your own with a book. It’s also very pleasant to ride a bike here. The stone bridge and the view on the castle are my personal favorites in this park.
It is an amazing park with nature and history.
This park is very beautiful and large. I loved to walk around this park.
Iconic park in the heart of the culture capital of Germany. The public park is beautifully maintained and is a great hangout spot for all. What i loved best about it was its proximity to the city and how it interweaves the nature and architecture ( Bauhaus movement together. Its a great park for a relaxing walk as its spread over a large area. Really great!!
Following Goethes paths there is a unique experience which leads you into the heart of Germanys cultural history.
A very nice and historical park. Goethe lifed there.
Great place! We spent every second evening there during our holidays in Weimar. Unfortunately they close quite early...
Well maintained park with beautiful features. Weimar city is just a stunning place...
A lovely park. Great walking, great landscapes.
Just a wonderful place to relax and take in some great scenery, statues and architecture.
A quiet and quite a large park with a lot of beautiful hidden locations and interesting buildings.
Really nice. But in the natural water lake full with broken glass bottle
Looking for a nice place to enjoy a sunny day in Weimar? This is it!
Weather does not matter, enjoy the park in any season!
The park is wide and wonderful. There is a lot of nature, of wild animals and it is well-kept. There was a nice local food stand by the bridge and, most importantly, you could lose yourself in the green around. Only negative thing was a lack of WC facilities.
Very nice park to plot some running incl sights like garden house and bauhaus
I have been there twice when Ive lived in Germany for one monthIts really quiet beautiful place and peacefulThere is a Goethes summer house toolf you visit Weimar in GermanyI recommend you to walk park an der Ilm
Really nice and refreshing. The park is so large so you can do almost anything here.
A nice park in the middle of Weimar near several old buildings. Go here, relax, have a picnic and enjoy the nice weather (it does happen sometimes)!
Nice park to relax or walk/cycle. Nothing spectaculair about it but it is pretty. Not very clean on some places and doesnt look very maintained.
Clean, peaceful park with picnic areas, walking and bicycle lines..
Beautiful and quiet park in the middle of historical Weimar. In the park you can see Goethes Garden house which houses a little museum. The river Ilm runs through the park.
A massive park in the middle of the city, great for doing so many activities such as jogging, walking your dog, laying in the sun, riding your bike, sitting next to a huge tree and read a book etc.
A walk in the Ilm Park always uplifts my mood. Beautiful - Green - peaceful with interesting monuments like Göthe garden Hause, Römisches Haus and cool geographical wonders like underground tunnels and springs.
Lovely park with lots of trails and picnic opportunities.
The Park an der Ilm (Park at the River Ilmis a beautiful and historical park in the town of Weimar. Apart from being a place to enjoy greenery, river, birds and let yourself be amidst the nature, it is also historical. The old bridge over the river Ilm leads directly to the Palace. The historical old library and the garden are treat to the eyes. If you cross the river, the garden house of Goethe is also situated in the park. If you happen to be in Weimar, it is a must visit.
Park super place for relaxation and fun
Beautiful park! Like it! Hope I will come here again.
A lovely park in beautiful Weimar that can easily be explored. Lots of hidden places of cultural value and more often then not young musicians practise there and fill corners of the park with classical music.
My favourite place in Weimar, you can easily find your spot here no matter whether you wanna do sports or just relax under a tree. I would also say the park is very safe at night but its super dark because no lights were installed, so be safe.
Beautiful Park with a river crossing it. Nice place for jogging, walking, riding a bicycle or reading a book.
Park an der Ilm is one of the most beautiful parks in Germany. The park is located on both banks of the river Ilm. You can find thousands of local and foreign trees in the park from ash trees to maples. There are numerous stunning buildings such as the Roman House and the Tempelherrenhaus. You can also find statues and monuments of famous artists from Franz Liszt to William Shakespeare. You can spend an entire day here without ever getting bored.
Must see and a very beautiful green space to rest or relax or do some sport
