Guyana, Georgetown
Park Vue Hotel - in Georgetown, Guyana
My first visit the sheet was dirty, had them replaced with clean ones. My second visit there was no cover sheet, I had to as for one. The room is big and the price is ok, not the best. The staff is friendly, which is a plus.
Great
Very Nice Ballrooms
Nice clean condition!NavcoAir.
I recently stayed at the hotel and it by far blew me away I thought I was staying at a hotel back in the states! The guest service was amazing and the food went above my expectations. It was nice having such a spacious room that we found out was just renovated too ! It was nice to enjoy the pool and cocktails with the safety of the hotel and to be so close to the city was a big plus! Definitely coming back in a couple years and I’ll be staying here again!
Noting that in Guyana the customer service needs to improve a lot, the kindnnes of the employees is remarkable, the owner and the manager are Very polite. My concern are the rooms, some of them have issues with AC and Water, so always confirm this before unpack, anyways ussually they relocate you if you ask for. Other important point is the food, if you are a tourist you need to know that almost all plates are Guyanese styled, so you could give so I recommend yo confirm how anything is prepare before you order.
Tani, ponury, ale z przyjazną obsługą. Basenik symboliczny.Ot. Miejsce do przesłania się.
The best accomodation I have had so far in Georgetown !Nice staff, good food, clean rooms.
Service was great
Great location and large rooms for a great price.
To find a clean accommodation in Guyana is difficult to say it nicely. This place is cleaner than most and also with good customer service. Gentleman at the bar is really polite. Diane thank you. Please provide iron and iron board for crews without them asking for it if you want to cater to crews.Food is good.
A/C didnt work.
Está cómodo...para descansar lo recomiendo.
The scenery is beautiful but the customers service 👎is very poor and what Im upset with is that I have to pay gy$2000 for a 1 year old child to swim I mean if it was $1000 or $800 at the least for a 1year old Im good with that dont mind paying that amount for a child 8years or older but not a 1year old man 😔😔
Not satisfied with service received.
No tiene buena señal de WiFi en las habitaciones
Today visited the pool and was told that it is full to capacity on checking only 4 persons were in the pool who exited shortly after I arrived. I asked the receptionist to accommodate me since it was only me and I was using the adult session of the pool and it was a special occasion for my visit, to this she still declined. I sat at the poolside and relaxed for about 45mins only to see another family for 3 drove up and gained entry to the pool. I return to see if I will be granted permission but still was denied. This is poor customer service which showed me preference and Im a regular visitor. This was upsetting...management should look into this...poor customer service
Stayed here 3 times, nothing has improved and the price went up Tremendously, it is very sad to promote your business as having American Standard Amenities and they are yet to be found here!!! HOT WATER NEVER WORKING PROPERLY...TIME AND TIME AGAIN, Amoung other things, this Establishment has soooooo much GREAT POTENTIAL If they owners would only tell the truth and FIX THE DAMN PLACE!!!
The pool is wonderful for the kids, the location is relaxing but the service is not the best
The picture here is a total make belief. The staff are unfriendly & the services are substandard. Yet the hotel is expensive.
BEST STRIP CHICKEN FRIED RICE IN GUYANA!
Excelente lugar para pasar tu fin de semana relajado
I was debating with myself on what score these guys earned, but I finally decided on a 4-star rating. Let me explain.Food: 4/5The food here is absolutely great. Ive had several dishes (mostly local cuisinebut they do hit the nail on the head for what they do offer.Room: 4/5I stayed in the Deluxe King accommodation and it was quite nice actually! The room was complete with a TV, refrigerator, bedside table and lamp, cupboard, wardrobe, and much more. My only complaint is that there was no microwave (something Id consider essential for an extended stay). Also, there was no hot water bath available.Customer service: 4/5The staff was very helpful and generally courteous. No complaints here. They did what they needed to do.Pool and outdoor: 4/5Staying there granted you access to the pool which was a very nice addition since it was equipped a cool slide. Definitely not something youd see at most hotels. (A nice touch if you ask me)The scenery there is okay, nothing too extravagant, but, there is little spot to back here theres a garden setting with a bridge and some rocks. A nice spot to grab a few photos if youre interested.
Stayed there this past January and took me a while to figure out my rating of this Hotel which I believe has been sold over 2-3 times in the past years by Guyanese living overseas. 3 stars is as high as it deserves only from the below. Budget conscious and I was there with my brother. Would not suggest with your spouse and/or family unless you want cheap..which I guess is OK.Without traffic, its about 40 minutes from the airport (unless you get stopped by those ridiculous “random” Police stop and less than three minutes from the Demerara Harbour Bridge, it was initially quite easy to miss if you are going too fast. If you pass the Hindu Temple on the left you just missed it. Within 15-20 minutes to the Capital so it’s well located. So the positives. And why I rated 3 star vs 2/12 have to do with its people. At the Front Desk, Kimberly a very good supervisor who tries to help as much as she can and is pretty efficient and friendly supported by Esta and Keilion (and others). I was disappointed that I reached out by e mail to the GM prior to arriving and never received a response.Breakfast is included but they serve meals during the day and evening. The staff in the morning were Denise, Tamica, Maria and Rhonda. Very pleasant and they will make you potato curry for breakfast or fresh plantain. Sometimes they have fruit such as watermelon and pineapple but the Hotel needs to be more consistent and offer more fruit to guests. Instant coffee and tea are available and there is water. The staff are friendly and please remember to give them a gratuity as they do work hard in the kitchen. The other positives are its location which is outside of town and more safe than hotels downtown. It has security at night. Also a swimming pool (thought not sure how often its cleaned given how busy it is during the weekend with children partiesand a mostly quiet par with pleasant staff.Within walking distance is a supermarket opened by Trinidadians (who seem to be the major investors buying everything in sightwhich is pretty stocked with most everything you would need. Secure with a guard and his gun and remember if you have anything in your hands, it has to be checked. They do take credit cards but clearly not used to it as you are walked over to an area while the approval comes and then you sign.Note there are no elevators so if you have heavy luggage get help otherwise it is hard slogging as I found out bringing down my suitcase. At each end there is a table with chairs that you can sit down early morning, assuming no smokers come next to you.The rooms are cleanish. Probably worth bringing something if you are there long term just to wipe down the floors. Ask for extra towels if you need. Same with soap etc (bring your own is my advice). Nice big shower that was a nice surprise. Toilet functions although we had to call to get it fixed. So a 7 night stay was OK but next trip the Ramada or somewhere a bit more upscale. This Property dies fit the budget minded. I expect with the oil boom that it will be sold yet again and this time I hope they upgrade the property with rooms, an elevator and more services. Would be worth paying a premium.
Very good service food was excellent!
Love this place. Was there for a wedding the place is lovely.
The overall atmosphere is very relaxing. The pool is very child friendly and have slides for their pleasure.Howeverrrrrrr there is no changing rooms to change before swimming and after swimming, but Persons do resort to the washrooms. The washroom floors would of course be soaking wet from persons who came in after swimming not forgetting also that the washroom is kinda choked up, which is kind of a struggle to change your clothes without touching the toilet seat. It was very difficult and uncomfortable.
Better than I was expecting for the price
Loved the pool but hurt my toe on the bottom of the pool. Needs repairs . But the food was great and the staff was nice too. I would definitely go again..
We went to use the pool. It was $1000GUYD. The water has no chlorine and there is a warning before entering. The bar at pool side is too expensive.
Awesome customer service but they should more slides etc. for older kids
Spacious, clean room, excellent service, good food.
It is veryyyyyy fun
Bom
Very nice service & copretiv staff members.
Needs upgrading
Stayed at this place in May 2018. Simple and a little cheaper. If you dont care for all the amenities then it is a place for you. The A/C worked great. I was a little disappointed because the bathroom had no hair dryer, no alarm clock. They dont give you extra towels however one of the employee there was very sweet, polite and made our stay quite welcoming and comfortable. His name is Sharaz Aswin. He treated his guess with respect and shows that he cares. The place is run down a little if they dont do something about it, it will become a real problem. Overall it is not a bad place to stay. I feel very safe and the staff members are polite.
Muy bueno y tranquilo
Bom!
BBQ was awesome food hot and fresh and the staff was helpful and prompt with service plus I he pool was clean
Just got started. Has a lot to work on still
Clean. Medium priced. Restaurant on site, but limited menu. Good food and good prices though.
Excellent
Nice hotel, there isnt service room to make the bed. Room was clean and nice, there is no cable system, I dont know if it is because of the cost of Internet in Guyana, but it has a wonderful pool to enjoy.
It was amazing. Great staff, top notch food and the swimming pool amd slides were very fun. Great for family outings
The view is very cool nice atmosphere courteous staffs.
February 2017 great service
