Park 217 Wine Bar - Wine bar in Butte, United States
Review on Park 217 Wine Bar:From the speakeasy-ish entryway on Park Street to the abundant wood, period ceiling fans and chiseled rock wall, the Park 217 Wine Bar in history soaked Uptown Butte, was a quaint, lovely restaurant with a solid 7 out of 10 rating in my book. The waitress was attentive and had a delightful personality, the wine was absolutely delicious in the paper thin, more than generous wine glasses. The beer was refreshing and the generous salad was tasty. Unfortunately the hamburger was a bit under cooked and the fish was bland, dry and entirely unappealing. My recommendation is to definitely go, get a salad, a drink and maybe even a dessert?? Just skip the meal.
An excellent, somewhat hidden away from the usual quick grab a bite eataries uptown Butte. Our hostess/waitress Jessica was an amazing addition to our dining experience.
Great atmosphere, great food, but your greatest asset is your hostess Terri! She’s a riot and she acts as though she genuinely cares about your guests and their experience in your restaurant. Job well done Terri, it was a pleasure meeting you!Brad and the birthday girl Amy.
Atmosphere was very nice, food was prepared well, the presentation was on par as well. The service was lacking, seemed our server didnt know the menu or care. Took too much time between courses, getting the check took about 15 minutes from the time our card was taken.
We had our company Christmas Party there. We had excellent service and great food.
Great atmosphere good people with the added bonus of excellent food
Cozy environment. It’s nice to go somewhere every now and again where the staff treats you like a true patron. I would have given this place a five star rating but I really did not like the Ceaser salad it tasted a bit fishy. They were kind enough to re make it but it still was fishy tasting. Keep in mind that this is just my taste buds though. Try this place out if you’ve never been. Good date night material.
Edit: New menu, lots of good items, but prices are Bozeman price in Butte. +$15 for a burger and $10 to add chicken to a meatless dish! Not worth the price anymore.Had a lovely, quiet dinner here. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! Whoever renovated this place did a wonderful job. The food is just as good as the space. The fried calamari was light and crispy, salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly! Definitely going back.
The food was decent but this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in a restaurant that considers themselves fine dining. We waited over 25 minutes to get our glasses of wine the bread never showed up with are meal and we never got our appetizer. I had to ask for a steak knife and it took 10 to 15 minutes to get a one. Also my glass of water never got refilled
This is a rare find. Great service plus an interesting and varied menu. The food was consistently good. On my trip to Butte, we ate here three nights out if five. The service was consistently warm and friendly. The food was outstanding, even for the vegetarians. The other thing that sets this place apart: its quiet enough to have a conversation. Id go back in a heartbeat!
Food was pretty tasty and the prices are ok. SUPER slow though, we waited an hour for a burger and some pasta.
This place is a hidden gem!!!!! Food was excellent! Try the bison meatball appetizer! Friendly staff!!!! Love, love, love this place!!!
Great food and a super atmosphere and super service.Would recommend this place to everyone.
Odd place, but good. Price is that of a fancy restaurant, but its still very much a Montana restaurant if you pick up what Im puttin down
We had good food, terrific service and the place itself is interesting.
I didnt like the service, the waiter wasnt nice, the food was cold, and I didnt receive my order correctly.
I come to Butte twice a month to work at St James, anywhere from 6-10 days. I stay at the Miners Hotel so I walk by your Wine Bar every day. If you are open I stop in on the way home. Last trip I was served a Malbec with a cheese platter. The guy who served it has a ponytail and service was quick. However, I looked down and two of the cheeses were moldy. I informed the guy and he said, “Huh. Yeah they are.”I pushed the plate away and waited 5 minutes. I finished my wine and when this guy never inquired, or performed service recovery I asked for my check and left. I guess whatever was on his iPhone prevented him following through with easily rectifying a bad situation. Thanks but no thanks. I will not return.
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Tony the bartender was very attentive and courteous. He made great suggestions and pairings. The food was brought to our table hot, fresh and delicious. The turn-of-the-century decor holds ones interest in this small mining town. Gives you the feel of being a part of history with 5 star modern meals.
Great relaxed atmosphere. Full bar with wine, liquor and beer with a nice selection of snacks including charcuterie boards
I keep expecting great and getting okay. Ive been here a handful of times; even went when this basement was first converted into a restaurant. Their menu is very appealing but often poorly executed. I havent had anything that I would consider top notch, nor have I had anything Id consider awful. Id hope for better when considering the price. I go back for a change of pace, but there are better places. On a side note, the place is cool! Check it out for the sake of seeing the building conversion, but dont expect a lot of bang or thrill for your buck.
Great service by Katy, excellent atmosphere. My only wish is that I would have picked a different dish than the linguini and clams.
Perfect restaurant for an upscale dinner date. Great lighting, great music, and even better steak dinners. Expect to spend about $30 per plate. Highly recommend!
Me and my gal pals went here for dinner. The atmosphere was great for visiting. My rib eye steak was delicious! I a had a sloe gin fizz for my drink.. ..loved it
Amazing food and great service. The atmosphere is a plus. You can have a conversation and hear what everyone is saying. Rustic and chic at the same time. The steaks are Great. The ribeye has just the right amount of fat, not too much.
This is a lovely place! They serve all kinds of drinks, not just wine. Our server, Sahara, was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable about cocktails, mixed drinks, flavor profiles and wine. Very unpretentious and friendly with a warm, classy and inviting atmosphere.
Excellent service! Amazingly talented bar tender. Very accomidating (I have severe food allergies which makes things difficultand delicious food. There is some major flavor related talent here. Its a bit expensive for a student but has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in Butte!
Was an ok place, drinks were good but we were seated at a table that had a film of filth and dust on it. Waitress was nice but kept asking why we were there and made me uncomfortable. Food tasted good but I ended up in and out the bathroom for the remainder of my evening 😬😬
Great drinks and even better food. Try the huckleberry mule
Obviously picked the wrong night. There was NO ambiance! Owners were so loud a conversation could not be had by anyone! Party Place is not as loud!
Went here for dinner with a friend. Great atmosphere, the wine selection is quite tasteful, and the food is delicious. Their French Onion Soup is done to perfection, and our server (Katiewas astute and delightful.
Not a place we frequent but every time we go we love it. With an excellent selection of wine as well as liquor and beer options, the wine bar is perfect for a date, relaxed night cap, or a the perfect beginning to a night out on the town.
Favorite place in town for fine dining! Really enjoyed the calamari and the steak as well
Fantastic steak, all home made sides and mains, really good stuff. Stop by if youre staying in town or swinging through.
I had the rib eye.. very good steak. Not over seasoned. Baby reds where good. Staff was very friendly, and what a unique dining experience. The belt driven fans and granite walls make for a very cozy romantic setting.
We came late after a long drive, but the staff was friendly and welcoming even though they were about to close in 20 minutes. The food came quickly and tasted great. Really enjoyed the onion soup, and the meat was good for the price.
Excellent selection of wines and sake. Brilliantly paired cheeses available. Fun, trendy, hip atmosphere.
Super classy, amazing drinks, and the two appetizers I ordered were unbelievable (beef skewers & calamari). Ambiance is super classy in both the "basement" restaurant and the wine bar on the corner. Absolutely beautiful addition to uptown Butte. Prices are commensurate to quality and atmosphere.
This is one of the better places to eat in Butte. They generally have some good specials, good salads and a nice atmosphere.
Food is really good here. A little pricey but I dont mind paying for a good meal!
Trendy, low-key restaurant featuring some of the best food in Butte. My favorite restaurant in town!
Really unique design features and attention to detail. Had an excellent date night experience here. Good and varied menu items, nice drinks list too. Wait staff was prompt and friendly.
Disappointed ... meal took an extremely long time to get, especially considering most if us ordered burgers. Burgers were missing some key ingredients , waitress, although very pleasant, never refilled/offered our beverages during the long wait for our food.
Smashing! Great Food and Excellent Customer Service. Ill definitely make it a point to come back again. Highly recommended.
High end food, great environment and amazing drinks!
I had a very nice time! Andrew, Tony and Katie knocked it out of the park. The Steak Oscar was prepared and cooked to perfection and the atmosphere of this establishment is first rate! If you pass through Butte I would highly recommend PARK 217!!
Quaint yet modern bar, bartender was on point & he was knowledgeable with good service, could be a favorite hang spot.
They have a lot of classy food. But the cheeseburger they make is to die for. Good beer too!
So far one of the best eating experiences Ive had. Wonderful food, atmosphere, and the staff were extremely pleasant. We will definitely be coming back here soon.
Very cool atmosphere, great drinks, and a tasty menu. All around good place for a fine dining experience.
Have always enjoyed excellent service and cuisine at Park 217. Definitely suitable for those special occasions
