Paris Café & Restaurant - Restaurant in Sagaing, Myanmar
Awful service and overpriced drinks. We were firmly asked to order again or to pay and leave after 30 minutes. When we asked why, the waiter just said he wanted some turn over for his business. Absolutely outrageous, AVOID AT ANY COST!
Surprisingly good! Very nice service, good drinks. Looked like also locals go here. Also not as crazy expensive as other places in Paris. Give it a try :slightly_smiling_face:
Lovely atmosphere, friendly service and tasty food. Definitely a perfect lunch spot in the Latin quarter while roaming around Paris. Very much recommend. Also the snails were delicious.
Photo posted 8/8/2022. Is this the same cafe that my grandparents owned in Paris before the 2nd Workd War.
Paul is the best bald waiter there ever was! What a hero!
Very friendly service, special mention to waiter Paul who looked after us 😍
Cafe de Paris is a great spot on the best street, rue de buci. They have a large menu and tasty drinks I love coming here with my friends to sit for an apéro. Love the tapas and their burgers are divine.
Very poor business acumen, they make money purely from unsuspecting tourist turnover and it’s reflective in their service. We asked for them to put the awning down because the sun was beating down on everyone for half and hour. They told us we were the third group to complain about it, but “some clients want to be in the sun.” They did put it down, everyone was happy, yet it didn’t stop them from ignoring us the rest of the time we were here. The Atlas across the street is a better place, spend your money and time there without retribution from pathetic men on a power trip to put their clients in their place.
Very nice Cafe.Delecicious Steak Tartar. Good Service. Nice Ambience. Recommemded.
Last minute dinner decision but couldnt have been happier with our experience! Great food and drink and fun atmosphere with a friendly staff.
Nice atmosphere and great location in the heart of St Germain. We had Escargot and Angus Beef, which was all very tasty. Nice and friendly staff. Yes, I would come back.
Loved it! The food was great and everyone was super attentive!
Loved that place. Had been there few times in 2020.Highly recommend octopus and fuagra! Thanks!
The location is perfect, the vibe of the place was great. Food is ok but compared to the price, they should enhance the taste and variety. Service is disaster but this is France..
Staff really friendly, the Avocado chicken Burger with curry Mayonnaise......I do not have words for other than UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Lovely comfortable venue and fantastic place to eat and I highly recommend it!!
Great food. Excellent Burger and good vegetarian choices. The pumpkin mushroom risotto was delicious. Very friendly staff.
Nasty, overpriced food, supported by passing tourists. The tepid soup was perhaps the worst part of the meal, or perhaps the service, not sure.
Breakfast is simple but perfect
Nice place, interesting cocktails a d friendly staff
We love this place. The location is great, the food is very good, and during the afternoon we spent on their sidewalk seating a minor carnival passed by in the street. Paris at its best.
Staff rather unfriendly.Ordered 2 glass of white sancerre. After a while it was out of stock. Chose another. Good point : it was served from the bottle. Yet nothing was given to eat along with it, nor proposed..No gel on table. Menu cards are re-used without being cleaned.Heated terrace.
Best breakfast in Paris!!! It’s phenomenal and in a great neighborhood. We came back several times during our stay. Fresh food and juice. One of our best meals ever!
Countless restaurants in the upmarket, touristy areas on the Left Bank are overpriced, overhyped, and lit like supermarkets. Considering that it’s located right in the middle of the bustling, pedestrianized quarter just off boulevard Saint-Germain, the Café de Paris is a breath of fresh air and surprisingly good value. It specializes in traditional French cuisine at affordable prices, set against a backdrop of simple but stylish décor. Service is friendly and efficient, and there are several reasonably priced house wines. Classic creations include the fish specials (which change regularly), and the lamb, duck and chicken dishes. It is also a great spot for breakfast.Sit outside and watch the world saunter by, or dine in greater comfort inside where the atmosphere is unrushed and informal. Choose from the airy section at the front, just inside the door, or the quieter, more private area at the back.
Amazing cafe. Perfect Parisian environment with art covered walls, French music and cozy tables. We had lunch here on a winters day The beef stew is what you want. Don’t even worry with the others. The goat cheese salad was great. But I ate off my husbands plate because the beef stew was THAT amazing. Your mom has never made beef this tender. And the fresh herbs and a jus is beyond anything you’ve ever had, get mashed potatoes with it. The server was so pleasant and helped us with our broken French and spoke English for us. Hands down, best place we have eaten! 5+ stars!
We thought this was a tourist trap place but didn’t want to wait for 45min at a restaurant nearby. We were pleasantly surprised. The duck confit was delicious and so was the beef tartare (although it wasn’t served with a yolk - maybe they pre-mixed itand the fries were excellent. Our food came out in under 15min.
Gorgeous cafe. Most of the dishes are excellent, a few are kind of basic (like the crispy shrimp salad). Stick to the Parisian staples and you’ll do just fine. Excellent people watching, excellent and friendly service. There’s a happiness to the place, important in cafes where you want to be with friends and watch people stroll by.
I think it’s a very decent place. It’s in the middle of tourist extravaganza. Adjust your expectations accordingly. I had Coq Au Vin. It was very good. I saw several frustrated customers, who did not know how to behave themselves properly (i.e.,sitting down at a table set up for serving food and arguing with the waiter while wanting to order one coke for the entire group). I assume they are the ones writing negative reviews. We enjoyed our lunch thoroughly. I would come back.
We wanted to eat there yesterday. The waitress disregarded every customer wish. We asked for the table next to us as it was free. She refused without any reason. Then she let us sit without service. What an awful job that blonde girl did. Never again. Water has been ordered and not delivered. But put on the bill. Forget the place if she serves!!
We had a great time in this place! Fantastic beer and friendly staff... and everything was perfect : )
Good was mediocre. Service if you request m. Matte de more interested in greeting friends. Unless your wine bottle has a huge amount of sediment in it then he’s attentive at getting it off the table.
Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table on the patio but staff were very efficient, ran to get tables clean and re set for the groups waiting inside the restaurant. We had steak which was great and our server recommended a bottle of wine that we loved, also creme brûlée was amazing!
After strolling around Paris, we decided to take some rest, and we went in this bar, we had tea and chocolate muffin with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.Place was a bit crowded, our table was at the back near the kitchen, staff were going in and out so they passed by often at our table. The staff was somewhat in a hurry he started cleaning our table when he saw that my husband was done with his muffin ( Im not yet done with mine ).I gave 4 stars for the food not for the services. Prices were a bit high.
A wonderful cafe to duck into for great seafood and beer/wine. Great service. Cant recommend enough.
If youre in Paris you have to try the escargots and the onion soup, with company of a good plate of cheese! Bon appetit!
A fab place for dinner and cocktails. We had a lovely server who was really happy and polite and we had lots to drink. Our dishes were cooked to perfection;would highly recommend this cafe in St Germain area of Paris 🤗
Dinner and wine were delicious! It’s a great spot for people watching :)
The steak my boyfriend ordered had a small but dangerous piece of plastic/ bone in it that cut his mouth! When we showed the manager this piece, he apologized but didnt offer much to rectify the situation. We had to pay full price for the meal.Even if this didnt happen, the service was very slow and the staff were rude. Would definitely not recommend.
Good breakfast, average price at 13.50 for the big kit . But you get coffee, good orange juice, croissant, tartiness with nice jam and a omelette. First time the omelette was cooked to perfection. Second time when it was more crowded the omelette was overcooked with the cheese not melted.
Good food and very atmospheric. You can also eat there at reasonable cost if you limit to a main course and glass of wine. Add starter , desert and bottle of wine will make a very significant difference, like times 3. Ive done both and was very happy on all occasions.
Great location and ambiance. The charcuterie board was phenomenal and they were very accommodating for English speakers. My steak was cooked perfectly and the drinks were delicious.
Food was pretty good but ultimately this is a tourist trap. They charged me 6 euro for water (same price as the glass of wine). They also asked me if I wanted to pay tip with my card.
Atmosphere was good and people around seems to enjoying. Unfortunately food quality, especially comparing to price, were not good enough. Also some foods were runned out. Nice place for cup of coffee or glass of wine, but not for dinner.
Great atmosphere, decent wine, and good food. At the peak time of 10-11 p.m. on a Saturday they were understaffed and service was a bit slow. That said, as soon as you asked for something the waiters were very helpful and responsive. For a vegetarian, there were more options than the average restaurant in Paris but still not much.
🍌🍌🍌 lovely meal. Nice service. Nice drinks. Overall a nice lunch.
Great atmosphere. Had a drink there sitting out (practically on the roadbut thats Paris for you.
We had a tasty and almost reasonably priced (this is central Paris, dont forget!dinner here. Staff were friendly and multi-lingual. The restaurant and facilities were clean and well presented. Were pleasantly surprised by the portions - not huge, but certainly filling enough.
Very traditional looking Paris Cafe with friendly staff and excellent surroundings, we felt we had found somewhere we could enjoy the food in Paris which is very hard.Alas. We were a little disappointed. We did specify our meat to be cooked Medium to Well and its came back Medium Rare. We did specify NO BLOOD.Made worse when a side order arrived and we explained we had sent the mains back but the waiter then left the side order on the table. The staff were nice and I had no complaints over their service in general and were always trying, but lacked the finer attention to detail of which would not have taken much to put right. The costs are reasonable but considering the food did not WOH us it was hard to swallow.
We stayed in an apartment across the street from this Café and had been told that they quite possibly made the best onion soup in Paris! We were told this by a seasoned traveller who spent time in Paris every year; she was entirely correct. I am at a loss as to some comments about the service and food; we ate here several times during our stay in April 2014 and not once had anything but the best of service from friendly staff and memorable food. We would recommend this Café to anyone who wants great food in an iconic Parisian environment; there is no question that we will be back here as soon as we return to Paris.
Most rude staff of the city.Theyre rude since you sit in until you pay; and after the payment they become even more rude doing everything to make you leave the table and go away as soon as possible. Moreover, in spite of the dishes that seem appetizing and plentiful, prices are too high and quality discreet.
Good food in a nice neighborhood, however, the service is terrible. The waiter demanded we add 15% to the bill on our credit card, and got really annoyed when we informed him it was up to us how much, if any tip we would leave for him. By French law all restaurant bills already include 15% service charge, so he was trying to double charge us by assuming we were ignorant of local customs and regulations. Obviously he got no tip from us after this treatment - and when he noticed he yelled after us in the street. Too bad for the restaurant to have staff like this since we would otherwise have come back again.
